When we entered the hotel we were checked in immediately with a glass of Buck's Fizz by two very charming (according to Mrs Pythonicus) young men . Our room was a standard but had a view of the beach and the sea and was clean and modern, with a very reasonably sized balcony. Tea and coffee were provided in the room and a fridge was available. We did have a couple of minor problems with the room which weren't addressed even though we reported them. Our kettle stank of burning plastic when we used it, and the toilet dripped all night, but neither problem was terrible. It would have been nice if they were fixed though. The room has an insured, free safe which is a nice touch. Saying that, we didn't feel that we had to worry too much about locking things up. The wifi was good, with only occasional glitches of less than a second. We travelled as a 3, and the restaurant is not really set up for groups. We were encouraged to sit at the back of the restaurant in a very gloomy area, which made a very poor first impression on my wife. We had to ask for a table for two to be set for three at every meal to get a view and some light. The food was buffet style with some fish and meat cooked to order. I'd recommend getting the food cooked to order as it was cooked well and not, well, buffet food. Breakfast was very good with a great variety of fruit, cheese, cereal, cooked meats and the fantastic omelette station. You can't have breakfast or dinner outside which is a real shame - I love eating outside and the hotel has the space. It'd be great if they found a way to serve more food in the pool bar. I would have been happy to carry my breakfast out on a tray! The location is beautiful. Nestled on a wooded hill with the smell of wild rosemary and pine, the hotel stretches over several levels down to the crystal clear sea. The real high point of this hotel though is the staff. We found them helpful and friendly without exception, and they work very hard to make sure you have a great holiday.

We were looking for an easy get away, Quick flight and short transfer to the sun. This ticked the boxes. A small village area in the cove with a lovely beach, glorious sunshine with a sea breeze. There is nothing to do here except relax. There are very few shops and a handful of bars. There is, however, a very good bus and ferry service to take you to Ibiza Town, St Antonio etc to find all the shops and night life you could wish for. The hotel is adults only. We had a warm welcome and room, though compact, was clean and well presented with a sea view on the east side. The all inclusive package worked well for us. The food was acceptable, usual buffet style and plenty of it to mix and match your meals.Restaurant very clean and tidy with views of the cove. Staff work well on getting drinks and clearing the tables. Between the daily meals snacks are available down by the bar. Some good quality alcohol is also included from 10am to midnight. Bear in mind the hotel is built on a hillside... there are quite a few stairs from reception to outside and down the sun terraces, but we did see plenty of disabled access available. A short path, 5 minutes at most, takes you straight to the beach. There is access to the sea, from the lower terrace but watch for slippery rocks. Plenty of fish here if you like snorkeling too. Overall a very nice area and hotel. Short journeys to see more of the island, a clean friendly hotel with decent entertainment every night.

We stayed here as a couple for a week in July. We chose this hotel based on the Trip Advisor reviews, and although there were a few negative reviews, we thought they were unfounded in the main. The Room Paying for an adult only environment, I found the rooms to be smaller than upgraded rooms we have had in the past at family hotels, there wasn't a deal of space but you don't spend much time in it so we were ok with this. The view was a sea view, from the side and it was lovely. We didn't pay for the whirlpool room and were glad we didn't. It was very clean and although the bathroom was ready for revamping it was fine although again a little small. The Food Plentiful, fresh, always hot and plenty of choice. As is the case at most AI hotels, some form of the previous meal was revamped for the next one but at this hotel I found them to be particularly inventive! It was lovely and I very much enjoyed the large selection of fish available. We are in the restaurant at all meals, there was food available at the pool bar but I didn't like the fact it was uncovered most of the time and felt this was not really for me, but others seemed to be enjoying it. The Drinks AI drinks were great, no complaints whatsoever. My husband didn't enjoy the lager but that might just be him! The Staff Fabulous, couldn't do enough for you from housekeeping upwards. The entertainment of the week was a band called Renaissance, we saw them twice and the were fab both times but the music is spoiled by the fact it is not allowed to be loud and by loud I mean I have my car music louder. The singer from the band was absolutely dying to belt it out and she had a fab voice but was not allowed to and I found myself getting really annoyed with the entertainment manager who kept coming out of his booth with a decibel reader to check the sound levels. If they could sort this out it would be much better. Please get rid of Karaoke, it might just be me but I can't bear it and my ears were bleeding. Sun beds Plenty of them, bit of reserving going on but we always got one. Quality beds and parasols The resort Quiet with a good selection of bars and restaurants, enjoyed it and the buses and ferries are regular and reasonably priced Overall Enjoyed it and the resort and hotel are lovely but a bit quiet for us, so although we enjoyed it we would probably go to Santa Eulalia next time.

We spent a wonderful week in Cala Llonga staying here. The hotel and its staff couldn't of done more for us. The location is idillic and the views are stunning. The town is small but it has all you need if you are a couple..not much for the kids. The entertainment team were brilliant and the acts were what you would expect, this is not Vegas after all. Dave the guitar man stood out in our time there. We would recommend this hotel to any couple of any age, and plan to go back July 2018 hopefully for ten days.

Little I can add to the previous five star reviews. We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Palladium. The staff went out of their way to help, the choice and quality of the food was excellent, we were given one of the best rooms on the quiet side with wonderful views (room number 305) and there was a great mix of ages and nationalities. I will concentrate on concerns I had before I arrived. As a less than mobile couple in our sixties I worried about access to the beach, especially as the entrance shows a steep slope up to the road. In reality there is a short direct path from the swimming pool to the sandy beach, so no problem. In fact we were also able to get into the sea from the hotel terraces but I would recommend sand shoes. There are steps to the terraces but these were no problem to us although there was a shortage of sun beds and umbrellas. We arrived early and were surprised that the rooms were not available until 14.00pm, although ours was made available by midday. This is no problem but guests should ensure they have suitable clothes to enjoy the sun and that first enjoyable drink. Our thanks to the hotel and all the staff for a wonderful relaxing week

Firstly I want to make it very clear that my booking was made through Thomson, and not through the hotel directly (as I think most of the other reviews with negative points are). The staff at this hotel are very welcoming, very friendly and on the most part go above and beyond to be helpful. We reserved a 'Superior Room with Sea View, and Private Whirlpool' through Thomson. Upon at arrival at the hotel this is not when we were provided with. We had a whirlpool but no sea view (just view of the car park and bins!). There are 8 rooms on the front of the hotel facing in to the bay with private balconies/whirlpools and also private sunbeds on their balconies which Thomson sell/show as Superior Rooms with Sea View. There are a further 4 rooms similar to this lower down and around the side of the hotel which overlook the car park not the bay (and do not have private sunbeds) which were also sold to us as 'Superior Room with Sea View'. There are shared sunbeds for each of the 'deluxe/whirlpool' rooms on the side of the hotel on a separate and shared terrace. This may not be an issue to all, however it should be made clear at the time of booking (the rooms and the views are certainly not the same). When we realised this was not the room we had booked we enquired with reception, showing them our booking confirmation stating 'room with sea view' ...We were advised that whilst this was not the case that Thomson had been made aware of this prior to our arrival and should have also made us aware of this. We were understandably told to speak with Thomson directly on this subject, which is an ongoing query we are still having. The hotel is in Thomson's 4*/Platinum range, and although the common areas are well kept and maintained, judging by our room I am not sure how it falls within this range. We had a problem with our air conditioning; after our first night in the room there was a large pool of water on the floor underneath the air conditioning grill in the ceiling. Further inspection showed the surrounding walls to have mould and damp, suggesting this was an ongoing issue and not just a one off. Reported to reception multiple times during our stay. Each time the leaking stopped briefly, however the room was never cool, even though they provided us with an extra key card to ensure we could keep the air con on even when out. The bathroom in our room was poorly maintained and ready for a spruce (further explanation in photos). It is high season, the hotel was full and could not change our room. Perhaps maintenance should be carried out during less busy periods for a set number of rooms a time but then also rooms such as this one should not be sold until they are in sufficient working order. Food and drinks fine with an okay variety on each I would say, bar and poolside has lovely views of the surrounding area as do all of the restaurants (both A La Carte restaurants and the buffet restaurant). A further tip if booking through a third party would be to speak to the hotel regarding excursions rather than your holiday provider; the ferry taxi and also bus stops are incredibly close by and easily accessible. A few of the other bad reviews mention the entertainment in the main bar being a bit naff; the bar in the Natsumi restaurant always appeared to be manned and the outdoor seating was wonderful and tranquil, this is a good alternative for those wanting to enjoy a quiet drink. Judging by the well presented communal areas, perhaps we just had a dodgy room and all of the others are fine?? (Avoid Room 111). However due to bad experience unlikely to recommend and unlikely to return.

Visited the palladium cala longa for 2 weeks 3rd july ..we arrived and were greated by lovely staff at reception..had sent an e mail to upgrade to a sea view which was accommodated but i think 25 euros per day was a lot of money 350 euros for the stay as although it was a a sea view the sea could only be seen from the balcony (it was a lovely view from there though) and the room was the same as other standard rooms it seemed that most would have some sort of sea view anyway ..would not have minded at all if we did not know others staying had been given discounts etc when they did not agree with the high price ! That being said that was our only gripe really the holiday was fantastic..the palladium staff are exceptional all so friendly and helpful..we met a lot of really lovely people all enjoying the hotel and made lifelong friends ..entertainment was good..would have been fabulous if the sound could have been turned up .felt sorry for the entertainment team and the hotel that a neighbour was complaining about noise afterall it only went on for one hour ..hope all parties can come to an agreement .that didnt stop our enjoyment of the entertainment as we were close to stage but may have for people sitting further away and it seemed frustrating to the acts ...the food was nice no complaints always something to enjoy and the staff in the restaurant were great also thumbs up to the chef and man who cooked the spaghetti, grilled meats etc ...two visits to the al a carte Mediterranean restaurant and the japanese were fabulous ..splash out for a lobster and t bone steak if you can .they were beautiful ...all inclusive drinks were fine problems at all and a special shout out to Antonio who looked after us so well .... the location of the hotel is great ..views spectacular..beach a few mins walk away..pool lovely to swim in was really a great holiday and very much hope to return soon.

Another great holiday at this fine hotel and we will more than likely book for 2018. We still have a couple of issues with our stay. The hotel still maintains a dress code for the evening meal but it does not enforce it and one person even had a rucksack on his back whilst people are dressed up. I wish the hotel would make its mind up on this issue. Also the evening entertainment was poor with laptop music and singers singing over the top like karaoke and singing every night with no variation in the acts. Lastly towels on sun beds that perennial favourite on holiday left to fester and frustrate people who are not prepared to get there first and claim for the day. I have stayed at hotels where if towels where left unattended for a certain time they were removed. This hotel is clean and well run, the staff from chambermaids, cleaners , waiters, restaurant staff, and reception were wonderful, all friendly and very efficient. So if the entertainment, dress code and towels could be sorted then I would give this hotel 10 out of 10!

Hi All, My wife and I stayed here from 3rd July for one week. Thomson have this hotel in their brochure as a platinum hotel, which I believe means that this would be a premium hotel even though it's official rating is 4 star. I have to say we have stayed in other 4 star hotels and some 3 star hotels that are equal if not better standard than the Palladium, this is the first time we have stayed in a Platinum hotel and I expected more, I would also add that we booked a top floor room and paid for a sea view room ( booked in February) the room we had ( 603) on the beach side of the hotel was of the beach and town, although you could see a bit of the sea where it meets the shore . I would hardly call it a sea view and was not worth the extra money, I think hotels should be more realistic with their description. That said there was nothing wrong with the hotel whatsoever, perhaps some of the decor and room fittings are getting a bit dated and worse for wear ( the main staircase carpet for example), but these details are acceptable thanks to the cleanliness, the excellent staff and dining, Check in was quick but a rather hurried affair with one person taking your details another taking your cases and another thrusting a glass of prosecco into your hand,( try getting you cards out of your wallet while holding a glass of bubbly). Some other reviewers have been a bit picky about the dining, but we found the choice of food and quality of food the best of any buffet dining he have had, we ate ate at different times for breakfast, lunch and evening meal and there was always plenty of choice. One word of warning, the dining room seams to be very busy at around 2 pm at lunch, so either go early or after 2,30. Somebody advised booking the Italian restaurant as soon as possible for a table, we tried to book within two hours of arriving on Monday morning only to be told the only table left was for 9.45 on the Thursday evening, this was to late for us to eat so we declined and were left very disappointed. The dining was excellent but it is a shame there is no outdoor dining for any meals as we have had in other hotels and really enjoy. We really enjoyed the entertainment which was varied and of a good standard, but the entertainment area and stage is quite depressing ( painted in dark brown) and could do with a bit of a make over. Our room overlooked the pool area and it is amusing to watch all the narcissistic, greedy people putting out their towels on the sunbeds before breakfast, I have commented to the hotel that this practice can be curtailed as some other hotels we have been to have done. The beech and shore are lovely but I think 18 euros for beds and parasol is a bit steep. Do take the ferry to other locations on the coast as they are fast and when the water is a bit choppy quite exhilarating. We took a evening walk to the Amante Bay restaurant bar on the advice of the tour rep Harry, about a twenty minute walk but well worth it as there is a lovely restaurant built into the cliff, we had a drink only but would have had a meal had we not eaten, If you do want to have a meal I think it is probably best to book as it was very busy.

Spent a week at the palladium at the end of June beginning of July and had a wonderful time. Arrived quite late to the hotel around 11.30 and were checked in super fast by two very polite and cheerful guys, we were offered food and drinks straight away and shown the bar and restaurant areas. Upon arrival to our room (403) we were very pleasantly surprised it was a good size, great bathroom with toiletries, robes and slippers, spotlessly clean and air conditioning that was perfect temperature. The main wow though was the breathtaking view over the bay I miss it every day since our return 😩 We went to bed that night totally relaxed and in no doubt that we were going to enjoy this hotel and I can seriously say that myself or my partner cannot think of one thing to criticise. The staff are amazing especially Connie and Miriam in the restaurant and Vanessa and Alvaro at reception all the staff work so hard but always smiley and chatty. Food was good, always fresh and a very good selection if you couldn't find anything you liked to eat then you must be very fussy. My partner is a cealiac and needs a gluten free diet, we were worried this might be a problem but need not have been concerned as the restaurant staff knew thier stuff and pointed out exactly what food you could enjoy and had a separate gluten free menu you could order from. My partner ordered a fresh pizza which she really enjoyed but most of the time just ate from the buffet and never had a problem at all. The bar serves premium drinks in real glasses and even provides table service . Only ate the pool bar snacks a couple of times and they were good, very handy if you missed breakfast as there are breakfast items on there after the restaurant shuts at 10. They even had little sandwiches and cake at tea time! Liked the fact you could get crisps and nuts at the bar which were included in the all inclusive as were quality ice creams. Never had a problem getting a sun bed even though you get the usual suspects reserving them as they must have the same spot every day! Only went in the pool once as the beach was sooooo good and you could literally get off your sun bed and step down into the sea which was crystal clear and quite warm. Cala llonga is a lovely little place with some great little well stocked shops and some bars and restaurants. We especially enjoyed Papaya who served freshly squeezed juices and wonderful cocktails. On the Thursday evening there is a hippy market with live music which we enjoyed very much. If you get itchy feet and tired of relaxing in this wonderful location there is a ferry which departs every half hour from the other side of the bay ( short walk) and this will take you to various locations around the island. All in all Cala Llonga is a beautiful place the hotel Palladium is very good we can't fault it and if you fail to have a relaxing enjoyable holiday then i would be surprised even the entertainment was good fun which usually I can't be bothered with, so don't be put off by a few bad reviews you will have an amazing time and I'm sure like us are already planning a return trip, so thank you Hotel Palladium Cala llonga we can't wait to see you all again
