The hotel came with a festival package, a lot of our friends were in the same hotel. Rooms are nice, we went in a few for late night after chats, you get told off for this sometimes by the Steven Seagal lookalike, he's really nice and I'm glad he does warn people about the late night noise. You do actually appreciate it when you have a plane to catch the next day and you hear him knocking on doors. Think he's a great asset to the place and he works hard. The desk staff are really nice too, there are a varied amount of regular staff who look after you during your stay. They have a baggage hold if your early or need to check out, a pool over the road, a bar near the pool ( bags will get searched upon entry ) They have their own themed day restaurant, I personally didn't rate it much but the breakfast daily was just what you need after a million hours clubbing and dodging looki looki men in the west end. The tropical for me is in a great location, a spar shop to the rear, ticket office on the corner, ATM on the corner, pool, bar, short walk to west end ( or stumble ) and a walk along the road to Cafe del mar, I don't go near Mambo after my last trip, they seem to be churning out a huge pile of rubbish music wise, thinking they can do so just because of the Mambo name. The Tropical also has a lift, some double beds (limited for regulars or just generally nice guests who help out a lot more) games room and a sitting room, downstairs loos and free wifi for guests.
Stayed here for 4 nights... Breakfast is really fresh... Pastries, hot food, yoghurt and fruit... Reception area spotless and staff are very friendly... Hotel is only a 5 minute walk away from all the night life... Swimming pool across the road and really clean... There is a tobacco shop beside Hotel with a small supermarket that sells cheap alcohol... Overall really nice and I would stay again
Tropical is a fab hotel. We stayed last September and again this year, and were recognised and welcomed by staff. Staff were the same as a year ago which I feel is a sign of a well-run hotel. They are happy, friendly, rightly seem proud of their hotel and nothing is too much trouble. We had mentioned to the breakfast manager we are vegan and he had gone to multiple supermarkets to find us vegan spread and would not let us pay for it; there is always soya milk, and gluten free produce available. Rooms and public areas are clean, beds are comfy, and there was always hot water for showers. The maids are cheerful, helpful and trustworthy: we accidentally left our safe wide open the first time we went out, with all our UK and Euro cash, cards, passports etc right there; the room was cleaned/made-up and nothing was taken from the safe. Many areas of the hotel have been repainted/refreshed since last year. The pool is great, lots of sunbeds. Being so well located in San An (just a few mins to the harbour, sunset strip, bus station etc) it is a party-goers hotel/pool but take ear plugs and that's no problem if you're not staying out so late yourself. There is left luggage and a shower room if you have a late flight and you can use the pool area in the meantime. So many good points about this hotel, but it's the staff who make it extra-special - a big thank you to them all!
A good hotel, 5-10 minutes walking from the closest beach and 1 minute walking from the heart of Sant Anton busy night live. If you go to ibiza to party with friends and to have a nice time, this is a very valid option. Decent clean rooms, good breakfast, and a big swimming pool across the street. Yes, this hotel can get pretty loud at night with guests coming and going and partying in the rooms. A security guard is always controlling the corridors but he can't do miracles. After all you are in Ibiza... You should be in party mode to enjoy at it's best.
Stayed here for 5 days for a hen party, wasn't our choice of hotel as was booked through redseven as hen package. Our first night arriving security guard was on our case, we weren't even loud just sat on balcony and it was only 9:30pm he was at the door telling us to keep it down. That set the tone for the next 5 days he even turned the electric off one night! Yes was early hours but we were only talking! No music Absolutely shocking literally not even allowed to sit on ya balcony chilling without him shouting up making more noise shouting at you than you were making in first place. It was like he couldn't wait to follow you up and then have a go!! Tamest Ibiza trip ever! Your searched at the pool can't even take a bottle of water in its taken off you.And don't eat the crap they serve up for dinner it's horrific! We had a great time but could have been a whole lot better had we not been treated like children!! We are a group of grown women in our late thirties/forties never known anything like it.
My friends and I were planning a clubbing holiday in Ibiza, and due to the location of the hotel being a 5-10 minute walk to the strip, my friends and I decided to book a week's stay at Hotel Tropical. The receptionist was friendly and the triple room selected was fairly basic but, comfortable and clean, ideal for what we wanted the room for however, the most disappointing part was the hotel food, it was absolutely disgusting, very poor, terribly cooked and looked far from appealing. During booking I selected half board so we have an evening meal included, this was a complete waste due to the hotel food being diabolical, causing us to eat out most evenings and spend additional money which we had not planned to do. I have uploaded a photo of the dinner I had on the 1st night. Another point which I'd like to include is the hotel security guard, he came up to our room 3 nights in a row complaining of the volume of noise and said to keep it down in a very aggressive tone. Yes we did have music playing whilst getting ready to head out, however it was not extremely loud and we are in ibiza after all, the island of clubbing (not that it made a difference as you can hearing pumping music in all directions from the balcony) We complained about the security guard and after that he was as good as gold!! 🤔🤔🤔
Me and my partner visited in august. The room was nice and clean, the food was poor, we had to eat out most nights! One thing I was absolutely disgusted with was the pool is shared with the public as long as they pay 3 euros, so this brought in a lot of party goers who sat there and decided it was an appropriate place to do cocaine and other various drugs all whilst the pool attendant sat there allowing this to happen, we had kids by the pool, and these young people were aloud in and playing such inappropriate music for young kids to be listing to. This is my 3rd time in Ibiza so I know exactly what the place is all about, but when you pay over a grand to have a private pool, this is the last thing I want to see. The pool is across the road from the hotel and not attached to it as it leads you to believe in the photos. The cleaners were such lovely people, and made us feel so welcome. Overall I would not go here again and would not suggest this place to anyone.
Stayed 2 nights for girlfriend Birthday 22nd August 17. Location 9/10... Although based in a residential area, it was 3minutes walk to the left, to the strip where all the parties are, or 2 minutes walk right to Ibiza rocks hotel and pool party. Simple 10 minutes walk to the beach. Reception 9/10- very nice and helpful felt welcomed. Amenities 9/10- across the road they have a large swimming pool to use (10 second walk) Room 9/10- Clean and disinfected. Tv, kettle, good bedding, complimentary toiletries and a balcony. Walls are not soundproof so can here a bit of what's going on because people are being loud and rowdy, not the hotels fault. Half board 8/10- they only offer half board based on breakfast and dinner. A good variety of food available. English and continental breakfast. Drinks complimentary for breakfast, but expect to pay for drinks at dinner. No Ibizan Spanish food. Chill out lounge- with pool and games machine Overall a CONVENIENT COMFORTABLE CLEAN HOTEL.. 3-10mins walk from ALL YOU NEED.
Great hotel very clean rooms clean every day the lady on reception she is lovely but the man that works on the night is rude also the security guard thinks he owns the hotel very bad and also very rude they need to get rid of him the man that shows you where to sit is the best he is great at dinner times love him this is the fourth time for me in this hotel the location is great the pool is also very nice breakfast is the best dinner is a bit hit or miss overall would stay again.
This place is very nice, its a great value, has the big pool with the all day activities in front, the rooms are big with 4 beds and with lots of space and the location is great to go to the beach and the center of town.
