We have just returned from a 2 week family ai holiday. My opinion of this hotel is as follows: Location - excellent, well located to local amenities, bars and really close to the beaches. Food and drink -in my opinion the food was fine there was always something to eat and I enjoyed the Mexican evenings kids loved pancakes for breakfast and wepould have liked these to be available everyday. The only thing I would say about the restaurant is that they need more staff behind the counter cause the queues for the grill can be quite long e.g. on Mexican night. I also think it's a silly idea scanning the cards to get in, I kept forgetting mine. Would be better to have the ai bands that scanned. The snack bar was very good by the pool as too was the ice cream selection. The drink was fine and the bar staff were very efficient there were queues but the soon got down them. Pool - I think think the pool is too small for this hotel and is rather shaded. I got a bit fed up of all the inflatables and when the games were on in the pool this left only the deepest part of the pool available for everyone else. The baby pool looked ok for younger children. The sunbed situation is ridiculous I have travelled to many all inclusive hotels but never once come across as queue for sunbeds and then the rush to get them when the gate opened at 9, but if you didn't queue you didn't get a bed until late afternoon. Who wants to have to get up early everyday to do this? Then if you did get in the queue people started to save places in the queue for their friends and family! It's just not right it was a real pain. The other problem around the pool is the wasps. Reception - bit hit and miss of reception I found most of the staff ok but one lady made me feel bad as a I needed a taxi due to mobility issues and effectively she told me I had to walk! This was not very caring or compassionate, plus I dot think she should have given an opinion. Entertainment - the evening entertainment was ok what you would expect from a 3* usual bird show, dance shows, kids mini disco etc. It was nice having an open air stage. The daytime entertainment for me was hit and miss. There are 3 entertainers, so in my opinion there should be enough staff for adults and 2 groups of kids. However I didn't feel this was the case. The adults games were not too bad and there seemed to be something going on at the kids club for the very young children e.g. Colouring, games in the baby pool. However the group that is think was missed out was the over 9s to 12 year olds. My children who are in this bracket never quite knew what they could play in and what was on offer. Many times there was not much for them to do in the daytime which was a disappointment. All of the other ais I have been on literally have had one activity following on from the next one for all ages groups so say 3 activities to do in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. This was a disappointment for me and my family. Rooms - the room was fine with a good view. If you do have mobility issues ask for a room by the lifts as the corridors are long. The maid service was excellent rooms cleaned everyday. Very efficient. All in all I think this hotel is rated correct as a 3 star we had a good holiday although I think it could have been made better by more entertainment for the older children and not having to queue for the sunbeds. I really liked Ibiza and Es Canar but I don't think i would return to this hotel

We stayed here as a family of 5 with two children aged 14 and 11, for 10 days in August. I had read many reviews before arriving, and hoped the continuous negative comments regarding certain areas would have been sorted before our holiday. Unfortunately, this was not to be and find myself writing the same things. The main problem is the older bar staff ( the younger ones Manuel, Oliver and Samuel were lovely), they really are rude and unfriendly. I do appreciate they work very hard, but then we work hard in order to pay for our holiday too. I can't understand why the hotel management do not tackle this problem as it's constantly commented on. The hotel is spotlessly clean, maids are lovely, food mostly ok, although the dining room runs out of crockery and cutlery on many occasions. Beware, there is a major problem with wasps at this hotel, they are all over around the pool area, on our second day, many guests including myself took to swatting and killing a few wasps, which resulted the man from the animation team being condescending, rude and lecturing us about breaking the law by killing wasps. Both beaches near the hotel are very good, we went on a mattress which was pulled by a speedboat, it was €56 for four of us and lasted approximately 15 mins, We took a bus to Santa Eulalia which was €1.50 each way, and took about 15mins. Nice family resort, be careful of Jelly fish in the sea !

Just returned from a ten day break with my wife and 7year old daughter. Had a great holiday in a very friendly hotel. Our room had a pool view which was great for soaking up the atmosphere of the day and nightime entertainment. We met some great people and had a wonderful time . The hotel food and facilities I cannot fault and would certainly not hesitate to recommend it as a very good base for a holiday in Es Cana. The staff were very friendly and the entertainment team were superb which all helps to provide a good holiday feeling.

This is my review of the Azuline Coral Beach Hotel, Es Canar. I stayed at the hotel with my family for 8 nights in August. First the positives. Es Canar is a mainly family oriented resort with a wide variety of bars and restaurants. There is easy access to a lovely sandy beach from the hotel. The Coral Beach mainly seems to cater for families and couples. The Coral Beach is situated in a quieter part of Es Canar close to Cala Nova beach which is well worth a visit. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, the cleaners work exceptionally hard to clean rooms and all other areas of the hotel. Towels are changed everyday if required and cute little soaps and shower gels left in the bathroom each day. All staff and entertainment are very hard working and appear to work day and night. Plenty of daytime activities around the pool for the kids and a an entertainment programme at night. Although the hotel is situated in a quieter part of the resort it is within easy reach of all amenities. Regular buses from Es Canar to Santa Eularia and onwards to other parts of the island. We bused it to Ibiza Town and had a lovely day out exploring the shops, port and Old Town. Now for the negatives. The food was hit and miss, we rarely ate breakfast or dinner and chose to eat from the snack bar. Dinner was probably the best meal with the most variety. Now for the part that ruined it for me. We were allocated a room on the second floor, situated at the side of the hotel facing the road side, great view (not!). The hotel seriously needs to invest in double glazing as I thought I was outside everytime I heard coaches and bin lorries pull up seemingly underneath my balcony. The walls are also paper thin, you can hear every word your neighbours say, and I mean everything! I thought this hotel was aimed at families but for the first five nights we had a group of young men next door who woke us every night at 5am after enjoying the nightlife. Then we had a very amourous young couple who were also busy making a racket until the early hours. Im no prude bit their very loud behaviour was quite inappropriate for a family hotel, I was embarrassed and annoyed when this woke my daughter in the middle of the night. I came on holiday to relax, unwind and enjoy time with my family, not to stay awake all night unable to sleep. Of couse i expect the usual noise from holidaymakers and children playing up until 1am. The lack of sleep left my family and I exhausted with no energy to enjoy our time here. We complained to reception but nothing if anything was done to resolve the situation. The hotel needs to consider where they allocate groups and couples, preferably away from little ears but I realise that they are more interested in keeping the hotel fully booked. Im afraid the negatives outweigh the positives with this one. I loved the resort but I would not return to the Coral Beach.

Nice hotel in great location with beautiful beaches, a few shops and great restaurants nearby. Rooms were pleasant and spotlessly clean with clean bed linen and towels everyday.Good choice of food, but usually only lukewarm. Hotel staff pleasant and friendly. My only complaint is the difficulty in getting a Sun bed at the pool. The pool does not open until 9am, people queue from about 8am and when the doors to the pool area open they literally run to reach the beds in the sunny areas! It is an absolute farce and forced us to spend most of our holiday on the beach which meant we lost out on alot of our all inclusive deal.

Took a time to consider this. On the whole this is an excellent choice for a family holiday it has everything you might need in an excellent spot in a lovely resort. Food is plentiful and there are a range of options, even the most picky could find something g to eat. The hotel is clean and efficiently managed except for the dreaded sunbed situation, which they choose not to manage. We travelled as a family of 8 and after some initial problems and discussion arranged for a table for 8 at evening mealtimes., which we appreciated. In answer to people who say staff are rude, we can categorically state we never experienced this but we did see some rude clientele, who treated staff as if they were servants! It was the height of season and the hotel was full, but we were always able to use all facilities with relative ease, excepting the pool, until late afternoon. We used the beach instead although sunbed and umbrella prices there were expensive (18€ for 2 beds and 1 umbrella) in comparison to other resorts we have used, making it an annoying choice to have to make if you have paid for the facilities at the hotel, which you cannot use easily. We loved the resort, it is charming and always seemed safe. We would recommend this hotel as a good choice.

Went with my friend in May this is a lovely hotel..reception staff very friendly and were waiting staff..we had half board it was well worth it..plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner..pool area was good ..just round the corner 2 mins from hotel was the beach which was very quiet we spent time there. Local bus to Santa Eulalia was just a nice stroll down the road. Escana its self was nice a few shops open but probably more open as season went on...lovely stall open at night which sold pearl necklaces and precious stones..the stall owner was lovely this was her first year doing this. I would definately go back there again.

One of the hardest reviews and ratings I have had to do on TripAdvisor. The Hotel has some really good bits and some bits that just really let it down. My main impression is a family hotel that is super value for money, this is reflected in the total mix of people who go there. I would say its much more of a families with 2-12 year olds than older kids. The Good It is nice and clean and the cleaning staff work super hard to make sure it stays like that the whole holiday. We thought the food was good and varied but we really like fresh salad and grilled fish. The deserts are good but a bit samey. There is always 3-4 mains and then the usual chips etc. The breakfasts are the weakest meal. There is a bar at the pool that serves drinks and food until 6.30pm. Menu is pretty good, tuna sandwiches, salads, toasties, burgers and nuggets etc. The hotel is positioned 50 ft from Es Canar beach which is really lovely and has nice bars right on it. Its not overly crowded and has pedalos and boats to hire. The loungers cost 18 euros per day for 2. There is also another beach within 3 minutes but we never went there. Es canar itself is not overly commercial which is nice, has an amazing Hippy market on the Wednesday and some fun bars like Charlies. Lots of them are suited to families with kids foam parties and karaoke. There are excursions and lots of places to walk and see. The rooms are light and airy with balconies, I would try to get one facing the pool as they have the best views. No need to worry about the noise as the entertainment stops at 11pm and is never so loud. The crew who work there on entertainment are so nice and work so hard. One girl called Isabel who was from Portugal was an absolute delight and the kids just loved her. The guy in charge Haquin, I think, is also a great guy and keeps constantly encouraging people to join in. The daily pool aerobics and water polo were always full as a result. They could not have tried harder. The evening entertainment is a real mixed bag. They have a mini disco every night at 8.30 for the kids. Then the usual reptile and bird shows, karaoke, quizzes, They had a band called Me and Him who played a blinding set of 70s music, Floyd, ZZ Top etc they were absolutely brilliant. This was sharply contrasted a few days later by a girl in a party frock screeching out MC Hammer 'Can't touch this' which I have to say was totally surreal. The Bad The pool is WAY too deep and dangerous. There are no life guards. When I say deep, our 7 year old who is the tallest in her class could only stand in the first 1/10th of the pool. I could only stand in 1/3 of the pool and I am 6'4". This has a massive knock on as it means 1/5 of the pool is mega crowded as everyone wants to be in that part and if you have younger children you have to be on the front row of the loungers to watch them. This means the dreaded sunbed queue. We have never queued before on a holiday for a sunbed but simply had to, as the pool is so deep. If your child is not a really strong swimmer and I mean really strong, it is worrying having them swim in a 2m deep pool for long periods when they will start to get tired. People queue from 8am but you can usually get a bed as long as you queue from 8.45 onwards. They open the pool doors at 9am. There is also a baby pool which is a foot or so deep and great for toddlers but for any child over 4 it is too small. The serving hours for food and drink are ludicrously strict. If you sit down at 9.35 for breakfast and want to top up your coffee at 10.01 there is no chance as all the machines are turned off. They actually turn them off as people are queuing to serve themselves, they even took a tray of desert away as our daughter was trying to serve herself! It would really not have hurt to have had the water and hot drinks machines on all day. The San Miquel beer is good, as are the cocktails and spirits. The wine is almost totally undrinkable and it seemed this was done to sell bottles of much better wine, which no one did. The food is also very much a scramble, if you go in the middle hour expect to find it a little harder to get a table and to wait for trays of food to be filled up. Check out is at 12pm and is easy, but if you have a late flight they actually cut off your food cards so you can only really eat from the pool bar. They also say they offer the chance to have a shower but everyone I asked said they were turned down when they asked. Overall the good bits are the position of the hotel, the food and drink and the entertainment staff. The bad is the depth of the pool and also the underlying attempts to try to make you pay for water out of a machine or bottles of wine or for that last beer after 11pm. Drinks are only free until 11pm but the bar shuts at 12. Also the area around the hotel does suffer occasionally from a strong odour, food waste type smell. We would definitely go to Es Canar again as it is beautiful, not at all party central and pretty family orientated but I doubt we would go to this hotel. If you have older kids then it could work really well 11-15 year olds would probably love the deep pool. On reflection had to give it an average rating.

First thing the good things The rooms are OK. Adequate and fairly clean the maid's do their best but seem to be on a quick turnaround. Reception and bar staff good and friendly The negatives... Food is average on a good day and we are not picky. Not much choice, dining room staff busy and can't clear tables fast enough, huge queues for food, problems getting tables. Rush for sunbeds just ridiculous, queuing from 8 to get one, doors to pool area opens at 9!!! 20 euros for a weeks WiFi and it is rubbish keeps disconnecting. and one bar at best, rip off. Hotel handy for beach and town

Party of nine, booked in three rooms. Check in was fast and efficient. We were lucky to get rooms on the fifth floor overlooking the pool- definitely a better view than those on the side of the hotel. Room was clean and nicely decorated. We saw inside some rooms on the lower floors and they looked more dated. We were all inclusive. The inside bar is open in the evenings and the pool bar during the day. Service was good at both with most staff being very friendly. Range of drinks was fine. The pool bar serves snacks - cooked to order during the day. The food in the restaurant was OK. Not the biggest choice I have seen, but we always found something we could eat. The drinks are done on a self service basis in the restaurant. The pool area is locked at night and is opened in morning. The queue winds around reception before they open the doors (look on You tube!). If you are not in the queue the chances of getting a sunbed are remote. As with most hotel pools, it is ridiculous that the sunbeds are empty much of the day with towels on them- it really should be managed better. After about 4pm there were usually sunbeds available. The entertainment team work hard and are quite amusing at times. I am not really interested in a lot of what they do, but they don't harass you to join in. On the day of our checkout we had to leave our room by 12pm. They provided us with another room for 30mins so we could have a shower at 3pm before our coach came. I thought this was a really nice gesture and much appreciated. Overall, maybe little bits are a little dated, and the food a little limited, but I would go back without a second thought.
