On arrival at the hotel we were helped up the steps with our luggage by the porter which was great.A lovely welcome followed by us being given a lovely really clean suite with a sea view.Food was ok and the hotel really made the effort to please everyone.Head of food Hisham aimed to please and did a great job.Sunbeds were no problem we could always find one somewhere however they were a little uncomfortable.For us there was just one problem.....the entertainment.There was a jungle bar with a bit of entertainment in the evenings but it was so hot in there.If there was more entertainment this hotel would be amazing.There is a retro bar pub down the road from the hotel but the pavements are not good for the unsteady as there's manholes with no covers.The guests all talk to each other in this hotel and we met some great people.Certain people made our stay more special.Hisham and waiter ismael and Mohammed Farag in the beach bar were exceptional.Hurgharda is not fully developed yet with lots of half built developments.The airport is very stressful going out.I would like to return in a few years to see the progress.

this time to the sunrise was our 10th time, we were greeted by a lot of the old staff as friends, the hotel is begining to look good with its fresh coat of paint, our room was comfy and spotlessly clean, the food has always been good but this year we felt it was even better.the animation team are a lovely set of young people who were always happy to stop and chat with you, with no pressure to join in, carnt wait to go back next year and see what the new pool and surrounding area will look like when finished, for me this holiday was pure relaxation, meeting old friends from all over the world who come every march.the free wifi is a bonus, even if it does run a bit slow, will start looking in a few weeks to go back again' so to all my friends in the sunrise too many to mention, from the gardeners the pool boys, the waiters the chefs, thank you for a great holiday. sandra and mr roland {big boss}

Average hotel, average food! You have to be up very early to get a sun lounger at least before 6.30am.. We were in room 244 which is the route to the main breakfast room that opens from 7am so you never have a lie in. The room is in need of a refurb also. The staff are a credit to the hotel and are so polite BUT I found the entertainment team to be a bit of a pain when we were trying to relax. Would I come here again?? No I wouldn't but all in all it wasn't a bad holiday. Please make sure you have plenty of pound coins because everything here comes at a price even the day trips have little hidden charges. I did also notice the chef making the fried eggs and omelettes to treat you very differently if you tipped him, if you didn't your food was just slapped on the plate, the bell boys/porters we quite pushy for tips bit the main waiters in the bar areas and in the restaurants were very hard working and didn't expect any tips at all and treated everyone the same whether you tipped them or not. The room cleaner also made abit of a nuisance of himself constantly knocking the door to see if we were ok, he was obviously after a tip which we would of left in the room for him had he not of been so pushy!!To the management of the hotel I really think you need to change your flower arranger for reception because the flowers are pretty hideous :( Also the blue plastic mats are extremely dangerous and slippery on marble which we explained to Kate on the entertainments team on the Tuesday and it was still there on Saturday when we left, and again I told the receptionist about this matter. As for the works being carried out at the hotel our room was really noisy when we wanted to have a nap in the afternoon, this could also be heard whilst trying to relax on the beach. I realise that work has to be done but it would have been nice to have had prior warning because the only work Thomas Cook mentioned in an email was painting of the corridors!!!!!

On arrival we where taken to our suite, after 24 hours in the room we where less than happy with the room for several reasons, the air con wasn’t working the room was noisy from the restaurants extractor fans and a flock of pigeons in the morning! We told reception and where moved immediately to a similar room in a different position, we where happy with the move, the food in the restaurant was ok, good variety, the beach restaurant was probably the best experience and food we had here Hussain the chap who managed the restaurant and took peoples orders in the daytime in and around the beach area was a Fantastic Host. The shops where all really helpfull, all the staff where pleasant and helpfull, all in all a Great Holiday, we will be returning!

We have just returned from our seventh visit and once again had a great time All the staff as always were brilliant For me a few stood out lobby bar Mahmoud,Abnab and Waleed Outside bar Ragag Aida/El Sol Ahmed//Ashraf El Sol M Zahran egg station Mohamed Fuad who seems to be busy everywhere and always smiling Nasaya Used this during the day for drinks and snacks. The atmosphere in here is really good with hard working friendly staff This I think is due to the working relationship the head waiter Ayman has with the rest of the staff Abdalla,Ahmed Rmdan,Mohamed Hassan,El Shyma ,Maged Shreef and Farag We didn’t eat here in an evening but did hear good things about the food I enjoy the food in all the restaurants plenty of choice despite reviews saying different I don’t crave for Sunday dinner when on holiday but it is nice to have it made for you for a change and it is very good I don’t eat pies at home but tried the steak pie it was delicious If I had to complain then it would be about the management One guest complained about the Animation teams morning routine One guest out of hundreds and it was stopped I realise complaints have to be taken seriously but this was over the top I only hope that management who always seem to pass on the negatives to their hard working staff also pass on all the positive remarks that they deserve We are already looking to book for next year 🌞

I have been visiting Hurghada for 13 years but this is the 1st time in this hotel...but it won't be my last. From day 1 everything and everyone was great. Adult only....two whole weeks without seeing an inflatable crocodile...bliss !! I have read mixed reviews regarding the food....honestly I really couldn't fault it. Huge choice..Fish, chicken,Turkey, duck, beef, pasta, salads and vegetable every meal....the beef Wellington was stunning. Hot, and tasty...the best food I've had in any of the previous hotels I've visited. My only "gripe" is the madness regarding reservation of sun loungers .I overheard a man saying he came down to put his towels down at ridiculous! Although how you could stop this is don't know. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help. If you want a relaxing ,adults only holiday I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is at 10 min.from the airport and on a walking distance from the center. From your arrival untill your departure is everybody so kind and helpfull. A big thanks to Osama for our lovely suite,and being there for us all time. Thanks to Elena for your help and look if we need more things in the room. The food is wonderfull,a lot of choice,the quality from the food is delicious,nice presentation and very tastefull. And then the food at the Nasaya,wonderfull,delicious,congratulation for all the chefs.What a nice place with very friendly staff,also big thanks to them. The rooms are very clean and have a nice seaview. I want to say thank you to all staff and management for being there for us to make my holiday with my friend Wendy so perfect and enjoyable.

Hi guys. It was our first time away together in over a year, and all we wanted was to relax in the sun and do nothing at all, which is what we were able to do on this holiday. Normally we are extremely adventurous on our holidays, but all we wanted to do was absorb the life giving rays of the sun, turn our brains off and do absolutely nothing for a few days, so we decided to do something my elderly parents normally do, we booked an all inclusive getaway with Thomas Cook, to Hurghada, Egypt. We enjoyed the resort, as far as being able to just relax. Being avid foodies however (my wife has worked for and now with Heston Blumenthal as her client for almost 6 years now and I have worked alongside some of the biggest names in the food world at food festivals), the food at the resort was very basic and catered for the unadventurous. Other than having coffee and a boiled egg for breakfast and making the odd sandwich at lunch time (saving space for the feasts we embarked on in the evenings), we found ourselves heading out into Hurghada town to eat at the authentic restaurants. If you're not prepared to venture out and try something like a camel steak then the food at the resort would definitely tick all your boxes. Our three favourite restaurants in the town, in order from the best was Moby Dick (medium rare, camel steak with a pepper sauce was phenomenal), Nubian Restaurant at the Hurghada Marina (traditional Egyptian restaurant where you can barbecue at your table) and the Red Sea Princess (cheap beers, friendly staff, great seafood, brilliant lamb chops, horrid camel steak). Gad a local takeaway right opposite Moby Dick was also right up there, their pita breads filled with succulent chicken or lamb were fantastic. The winner of the "Overrated" award definitely goes to Starfish and Grill and Chill. I don't want to knock restaurants, so that's all I'm going to say about that. The staff at the hotel was friendly and very helpful, you couldn't really ask for more. I had an issue where the ATM in the hotel lobby swallowed £220 in cash that I was wanting to convert to local Egyptian Pounds. Obviously I was extremely nervous, how could I prove that I lost this money, would I get it back? It wasn't something I should've worried about though, the hotel team arranged for the bank to come through first thing the following morning and my cash was given back to me. Happy days. Our rooms were cleaned daily, the bathroom was great with a brilliant shower. DO NOT drink the water. You get bottled water daily in your room and it's always available on demand. The best thing about the room was being able to sleep with the balcony door open, a cool sea breeze blowing in and the soft crashing of the waves was a pleasant way to drift off after a long day of doing nothing in the sun and filling our bellies on delicious Egyptian delicacies. It was also my wife's birthday on our arrival day and the small birthday cake in our room on arrival was a pleasant little surprise and made it very special for her. Now to point out a few small negatives, and something one should prepare for. One thing I would note is the unnecessary and unwelcome pressure put onto arriving guests at the airport by the bus/shuttle teams to try and get the guests to tip them for simply putting their bags on the bus. From the reactions of some of the uninitiated travellers they honestly believed that this was something they had to pay and most ended up paying a minimum of £5 for someone to put their bags onto the bus for them. Not really a great intro to a holiday. Tour companies like Thomas Cook should really clamp down on this practice or at least inform the guests about this practice. Another small negative was the lack of communication from the Thomas Cook team at the airport on leaving. The flight was delayed (not by much) but there was no communication. Boarding time had come and gone and nobody had arrived at the gate to at least inform guests of what was going on and keeping them updated. The ending of a holiday is just as important as the beginning, the last thing someone ending a holiday would want is a bad experience that could potentially lower their overall experience of their holiday. Another thing people will find off-putting (if they have never experience this before) is the very forward and demanding nature of the shop-owners/sales people in the towns. You will be hassled wherever you walk. "Have a look, best price" will be shouted at you as you wander past every single shop entrance. And don't say "maybe later" or "on my way back" because you will be held at your word and will be accused of being dishonest and offending them personally if you don't. A simple smile, with a friendly "no thanks" works wonders. All in all, it was a great, value for money little getaway for my wife and I, it was just what our body and mind needed. Would I recommend it to my travel adventurous friends, probably not, but to my parents, and to anyone just looking to do nothing and renew their energy I would say, give it a go.

Classed as 5 star, but sadly not. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room we had was on the 7 th floor ,looking out onto the beach and the sea, it will be a lovely room , when it's updated. Our cleaner was a lovely , accommodating man, and our room was spotless. All the staff in the restaurants work extremely hard, and long hours, but always have a happy smile , and and a brill sence of humour. The animation team were great, they came around everyday, asking if we were ok , and asking to do activities. Plenty of choice with food, but for 5 star , expected a seafood nite. The coffee machine in the beach restaurant broke down often, so breakfast was a bit Annoying when we couldn't have a coffee. We enjoyed our evenings with RAGAB, in the GRAND CAFE BAR. He s an extremely efficient young man, An asset to this hotel. Friendly but professional. Lots of refurb going on in the hotel. The pool area really does need updating. Overall, we enjoyed our week.

Just came back from our fifth holiday in this wonderful Hotel we feel it has everything that we need and everything that we want we will definitely be coming back next year can't wait to enjoy the sunshine you once again
