Just had our honeymoon here and don't regret it. We njoyed the holiday but the hotel needs shutting so modernisation can take place. Paintwork peeling off and very dirty in a lot of places. Cracks nd holes in the walls have only been filled nd now need painting. Some bare wires hanging next to a lift. The lifts didn't always work nd the control panel cover on 6th floor missing. They are having problems with brown water on occasions. Our bathroom wasn't great as shower wuoldnt stop up nd you had to hold the knob so the water did come out of the shower. This was eventually mended. The towel rack nd soap dispenser needed tightening up as they slanted downwards nd loose. Other rooms had issues to like pigeons in there air conditioning and feathers bowing into there room. Swimup pool bar closed. Beach bar was supposed to have been shut this week and knocked down and replaced. Was told by some mangers work will commence jan/Feb and also it will be done july/August. Was also told not sure when as this is Egypt. We had to slam our door to shut it and the fridge didn't chill properly. Like I said at the start we still managed to enjoy our honeymoon.

Visit was first time in Egypt. The accommodation is a little tired in places and there is always someone fixing or repairing something but it wasn't a problem. There was air conditioning in the rooms and restaurant as well as lobby. The beach is ok and some fantastic snorkelling from the beach. Pool is tired and needs an update. Restaurants were ok and the food was fine. The a la carte restaurant was limited but fine and the buffet was ok. The staff were all very friendly and seemed to want to help. We did get asked regularly if we wanted this or that but a polite but firm no was enough. The hotel is within walking distance of some shopping and we felt safe to walk day or night. Drinks are limited but as you may expect of local alcohol but ok. Evening entertainment was not to our taste but was delivered with energy. All in all a nice hotel and staff a short distance from the airport and town

Sunrise resort is very welcoming and friendly place to spend your vacation! The food is very good and plenty to offer and many bars on resort and there are many places to visit nearby. There are many different trips to go on to do sight seeing. Animation team are awesome and great fun!

Just returned from the sunrise again we've stayed here 8 times or more and the hotel just gets better The view from our room over the lagoon was breathtaking first thing on a morning what a way to start our day From the moment you walk through the front entrance doors the staff are warm friendly and always helpful Our room 523 was beautiful always clean loads of clean towels daily and water in the fridge and a bowel of fruit each week Evenings sat on the balcony watching the sunset with a g&t The food in the restaurants was always nice plenty of choice and always warm and replenished often. The waiters are polite and fast to clean and tidy away for you and the Egyptian bread and butter pudding is my favourite lol The beach bar staff work very hard even tho some other nationality guests are very rude to them I'd like to complement Mohamed kambouris one of the hotel management team for being extra helpful when we had a couple of small problems. I went diving again with Islam and the team thanks for a brilliant time as usual see you next year when hopefully we will both be diving We can't wait to return yet again next year, possibly twice we hope Thanks again for a fab holiday Iain & Deborah Price

We wouldn't come back to this hotel in it's current state. Would need to modernise and not have the works going on while we were in resort. Not overly pleased with the fact that this was our honeymoon and the hotel knew this as we were invited by letter to celebrate, but made no effort at all to do anything special for us when we went for our special meal. The hotel could do with much more air conditioning units around the place. Even in the reception area it was very hot unless you literally sat beneath of of the units. We got given cool towels when we checked in and thought that we would get more throughout the stay, but this was not seen again. Very disappointing. Too many staff wandering around ignoring the red flags and trying to force their services upon us while we were trying to relax. Too much workman noise. Why were we not told about this before we came for our stay? Buffet food is poor at best. A La Carte restaurant was OK - but very rushed. There seems to be only 2 sittings, so if you're on the first sitting you're rushed along to make way for the next sitting. Food was OK, but limited in options. Bathroom in the room was dated a poor. Toilet flush took holding the flush down for 30 seconds to ensure that the tank is emptied and that your "waste" is removed fully from the bowl. Bath was too small - my 5 foot tall wife couldn't even sit and use it comfortably! Toilet leaked and wasn't fixed properly during our stay. Our towel holder fell off the wall on our first evening - this took until the following evening for someone to come and look into which is too long as we'd been out all day so thought it would have been sorted during the day. Air Con in the room was ok, but didn't seem to drop the temperature of the room enough (never saw it lower than 24 degrees!). Overall, very disappointing honeymoon for myself and my new wife. Would not recommend - other than recommending to stay somewhere else!

From start to finish everyone made us feel welcome Reception staff were very efficient - and followed up requests (calling my room to check that I'd received the towel I'd requested and that our safety deposit box was activated) Room was spotless and well kept - although the air-con left a lot to be desired as there was either a choice of on or off - with the on only blowing half-heartedly. I'm sure in the middle of summer this would present a great problem. Food delicious and fresh, with the Head Chef (Hisham) making his presence known by walking around the tables ensuring everyone was happy. He was also very approachable should you want any special requests. There was entertainment every night - or you could sit and have a quiet drink in the bar. The Lagoon Beach Bar was a welcome change if you didn't want to go into the restaurant to eat The only negative to this holiday if I had to choose something was with some (but not all) of the animation team. Like all animation teams everywhere they tried to get you to join them in the activities. Which would be fine if they had accepted the answer no and moved on, instead of calling "lazy English" as they walked around. A lot of English people naturally took exception to this. All in all an idyllic holiday for just relaxing and forgetting the daily grind of home and work. And sunbathing overlooking Red Sea! This is an adults only hotel which (for us) made it a perfect choice. We will be back! June L.

hotel is OK for a 3*+ hotel but does need TLC. Beach & lagoon brilliant. Restaurants serve good quality well prepared food but variety is very limited during the week. room was standard fare for Egyptian hotels for this price nothing sparkling. Area around hotel looked like Beirut very run down in places. Entertainment I have honestly never seen anything as poor in the evenings to the point of laughable cringe worthy even using child performers in the evenings. Will I return NO I have seen better 3* hotels in Egypt Regards Malc

We used trip advisor to choose this hotel . First impressions after arrival ok then a down ward spiral of disappoint en sued.Every where you looked the hotel was tired and in places filthy and dilapidated.The staff are great and this does seem to help smooth over the underlying dissatisfaction.Pool was very cold for the time of year someone mentioned that it was leaking and is due for refurbishment and being topped up continually .Never saw anyone check the chemical levels while we were there could be the reason that my partner and myself both had up set stomachs.A relaxing battery recharge holiday this was not .The management need to refurbish many areas of this hotel and as for being asked to write a review while we were still there a couple of days into our ordeal I don't think so.We will not return to this hotel as there are many superior hotels available.Home now feeling like we have not had the holiday that we paid for.☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Me and my boyfriend have just recently returned from this hotel, after spending 4 days of our seven day holiday sick. With being sick and temperature. It didn't help the fact our hotel room was disgusting, hair all over the bath, when I wanted a bath to help feel better I couldn't. My boyfriend and I were horrified. The pool was absolutely freezing, and had an almost green tinge to it. It was our first holiday away together, and I'm horrified. It won't be a holiday that I remember, the food was bland, boring and didn't look like it was prepared in a clean place. Staff were brilliant, and very polite and kind. But they were washing sun beds and chucking the dirty water BACK IN THE POOL! I'm baffled because the reviews were amazing hence why we chose to go here. I'm horrified and will be taking it further.
