Looks can be deceiving because this is a beautiful hotel but the service is horrendous. Let's start with the good: the pools are fabulous, just perfect. The slides are a nice addition although they are only open a couple of hours in the morning and afternoon. The rooms are also very nice and comfortable. This is a newly built hotel so it looks good. Now the bad and these outweigh the good by a lot. 1. The private beach is useless. In the morning there is no beach, the tide is so low that it becomes a sand pit. In the afternoon the water is only up to the ankles and about 35 degrees hot. 2. The food is mediocre at best in the main restaurant which becomes overcrowded. My wife contracted severe diarrhea on the first night there. The specialty restaurant food is much better but you'll have a hard time getting a reservation. 3. You can only eat at the specialty restaurants by making a reservation a day in advance and by being at the restaurant between 10am-12pm. By 10:20am all the reservations are gone, if you are not at the beginning of the line you will not get to eat inside with A/C, only outside in the heat. When we went to eat at the Italian restaurant there were quite a few inside and outside empty tables. Seemed to me like they don't want to fill it although I can't be sure of that. So if you go for a 3 night hotel stay you can only eat in the specialty restaurant one time, and one more thing, some of the better menu items are extra charge. 4. There is no WiFi Internet service in the entire hotel except for the lobby bar. I purchased a 24 hr Internet card only to find out later that it only worked in the bar. I was not informed beforehand of this and later I demanded a refund to no avail. 5. There is no way to get a drink from a bar waiter, period. When I wanted a drink I would go straight to the bartenders behind the bar directly. After the 3 times when I ordered a drink from the waiter and never got one, I got the message. 6. Nasty staff. I had a fight with one staffer about the internet problem and we both ended yelling at each other. I am on vacation, I don't want to be aggravated, 7. I paid $50 for a late checkout, then they deactivated my card keys at 12pm and had to go all the way to the lobby. At 3pm the power went off so I had to take a shower in the dark lying in the floor and then get dressed and prepare the luggage with no A/C. They didn't even have a consideration to half price the late check-out fee. In conclusion stay away from this hotel and save yourself from the aggravation and also possibly a case of diarrhea.
