Not my first choice, but glad we ended up here. The room was clean and comfortable. The lady working at check in was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, bagels, waffles, yogurt. Great hotel and not expensive. I will stay here again if ever in area.

As we pulled in our 1st instinct was to leave quickly! Not the nicest looking on the outside. Decided to at least check out the room. Was shocked...was recently redone beautifully. Everything is like new. Would recommend if u are looking for a descent place to stay not far from Hershey.

We had stayed here a year ago and it was mediocre at best, but the price was right. We checked in today in May 2017 and was blown away by how nice the room was.. brand new bed, beautiful fixtures, new floor, mini fridge, microwave, ironing board and more! Very clean and comfortable. The outside may not be the most appealing but they did a fantastic job with the renovations. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ignore all those bad reviews, this was a great stay for a great price!

No bells and whistles but very clean and friendly staff. very reasonable price, good location.Had some difficulties with WiFi . Also pet friendly. Would certainly stay again. Could use of outside improvements.

Normally when I think of an Econolodge, the first thing that comes to mind is random screaming in the middle of the night, or maybe the occasional hooker being hassled by a cop in the parking lot. This one was an exception to that however. While the outside of the building and the lobby was very rundown and decrepit looking, it was in a decent neighborhood and the room we were in was recently refurbished and was very clean. The beds were actually comfortable and there was not yet black mildew in the bathroom. The TV was new, and one of the larger ones Ive seen in a cheap hotel. Two negative things about the room were the A/C unit was very old and could not hold the temperature steady, and you could hear any sounds or talking outside. Also, someone had apparently set a 3AM wakeup call on the phone in our room, which I did not figure out until the second night in a row that we were woken. It was only around 10 minutes to HersheyPark, which was the purpose of our trip so the location was very good if that is where you are headed.

We were very happy with the complete renovation of this hotel. We've stayed here at the same time each year for about 5 years. It was always friendly as well as dog friendly, clean, safe and within walking distance of several restaurants. However it was a little overdue for a facelift. I think they did more than just redecorate and it is just great. WELL DONE.

I needed a place close to the Hershey Conference Center for a recent convention and didn't want to use a shuttle bus back and forth. The motel is about a block and a half from the conference center at about one-third of the price of the conferenece center. Its not fancy, but the rooms were clean and the staff pleasant. The room was recently remodeled with king bed and big screen tv. The wifi worked well. They are renovating the outside so it's not pretty right now. Someone in another review mentioned noise. Its two blocks from the hospital so you will hear an occasional ambulance. Overall worth the price for the location.

I am in town for a conference at the Hershey Lodge and originally booked a room at the Econo Lodge. The price was low and location was convenient. Day one of the conference was until 8:00p, so after reading mixed reviews, I figured, "it is only one night, I just need somewhere to lay me head." I paid about $55 for the room. When I met a colleague in the parking lot that morning, I was shocked at the presentation of the hotel versus what the pictures showed. It was creepy, as the lobby was basically under a garage or something and had a makeshift "Lobby" sign propped up against the wall, with random pieces of wood (or whatever it was). Throughout the day, I contemplated keeping my reservation or looking elsewhere. After the banquet was over, I went to the EconoLodge to check in and scope the place out. Okay, no. Just don't bother staying here! I went inside to notify staff to cancel my reservation. The woman at the desk was rude and kept asking if we wanted to see the room before cancelling the reservation. She kept saying that everything was "brand new" in the rooms and the lobby was the only section that was still under construction. However, a review from 4/9/17 (2 days prior to my stay), stated that the construction stopped at 10:30p and restarted at 5:30a, so I'm not sure if what the woman said was honest. The review also stated that the room was gross. She asked for my name and my maiden name was still listed, so I offered my ID and she wouldn't accept it. Anyway, I did not receive a refund and I don't even care. I went across the street to the Milton Hotel and spent another $70. Don't bother even looking into EconoLodge, even if it is just one night. This was my 2nd poor experience with an EconoLodge and have learned my lesson. The first one was in Atlantic City and the whole one side of my car was destroyed overnight (probably by a drunk driver) IN their "garage" and they did not have cameras and were not helpful whatsoever. If you are in need of a cheap place to stay, seriously, spend the extra $20 and go elsewhere. I'm a woman in my late 20s and did not feel comfortable here. You don't access rooms from inside, only outside. Customer service and presentation were horrendous. Don't waste your money! You won't get a refund for a cancellation!

Under construction and not as booked; our room not only has no carpet but is two doubles when I booked two queens. Says so on the reservation. Though spacious there is no breakfast too. Not sure we will stay here again. And the wifi is useless.

After a very long day, we had arrived to check in after 10PM. The grounds are atrocious, run down, with construction tape blowing in the parking garage. The sign on the cement block wall stated "Do not leave valuable items in vehicle." When I began to express my concern that the website does not appear to be the same hotel, the clerk, who was sitting in a small shack behind glass and in front of a piece of ply wood, immediately offered to cancel my reservation. I would have gladly done this had it not been so late and I had already known that this was one of the only hotels with vacancy. While cancelling my reservation could have been seen as a nice gesture, her mannerisms were rude, telling me that she has been down that road more then once. Thankfully the room was clean with new furniture. Noise persisted all through the night, although we are not sure where or what was the source. When it was daylight, you were able to see the light through the large cracks all around the door. The continental breakfast was pitiful, with a small selection and nowhere to sit since it is in the small lobby of the establishment. Definitely would not recommend.
