Only good thing is the breakfast. The rooms are old and dirty. Minibar is empty. The trashcan was full. Everythigbwas charged extra. Pool costs extra. Sauna has to be booked. Parking is extra. They tell you this in the end. Highly unprofessional.

This hotel has a great location and is good for kids and pets. Otherwise it is very basic.I am not sure I would come back. Pros: Indoor playground for kids two elevators Breakfast and Dinner Buffet is adequate( nothing special but tasty and plenty) Pool Direct access to ski slopes Cons: Entrance is through a long staircase (very inconvenient) No Porter to carry your suitcases Check in procedure takes long Rooms are outdated Our bathroom was not vented properly and smelled No Mini Bar or any sort of coffee or tea option. New bottle of water is replaced daily but charged extra. The cafeteria is also upstairs. (not easy access) Free pool access at inconvenient hours No Lunch option except the inhouse restaurant which was fine dining The hotel is average and more suitable for vacations where you are mainly outdoors and active during the day. It is not worth 4 stars.

The hotel is average 3-star. If I were to accept their claim of being 4-stars I would probably rate it as poor. Saying this I feel a bit bad for the staff because the were OK. The first weak point of this hotel may be its location. This location is 20-30 minutes walk from the town centre but there is no sidewalk so you need to take a taxi, go by car or walk along the motorway while breathing the exhaust gases from passing cars. The hotel ranks among biggest buildings in the area. It was built in the socialist past, but interior has been renovated several times. Due to its old structure there is no sound-proofing between the rooms. The hotel is obviously trying to acquire some 4-star features while being mostly 3-star. For example my very first impression of the room was naturally bad because of cracks and stains on the walls. Yet the bathroom was clean and could easily pass as 4-star. What felt really ridiculous was a bottle of water carefully displayed on a bookshelf with a pricetag of 70 CZK. If you decided however to drink the water for the tripled price (as compared to its reatail price) then you would have to drink it at room temperature as there is no fridge in a 4-star hotel:-). IMHO, offering bottled water for high price is not how you upgrade a 3-star standard to 4 stars. Otherwise the room is decent, there is a TV set with some Czech TV channels available. The choice of our half-pension buffet menu was very modest. Breakfasts were slightly better than the dinners. With breakfast you can have a machine-dispensed powder coffee, real coffee is not available. No drinks are offered with the dinner at all, a beverage may be bought at prices corresponding with 4-stars level. The dining hall, however, is a very simple 3-starrish space. There is a small swimming pool which is free to use till 12:00, in the afternoon a surcharge is charged. Sauna or gym are subject to surcharge as well. The hotel has a lot of sparking space. parking lot is charged at 150 CZK (8USD) per night. Next to the hotel there is a beginners level ski-slope and another one a few minutes walk further away. I dare to say there are tens of much better places around.

We visited this hotel to perform a workshop. Very comfortable room with capacity more than 50 people. WiFi works very well in the bar, and very limited connection in rooms. All breakfast, launch and dinner are very good with wide range of meals. Quality of rooms are quite good, so you don't need something luxury being in ski resort hotel. Very pleasant waitress and personal at all.

Hotel maybe looks like a monster from the outside, but inside is nice and modern. Staff is nice, always smiles and is helpful to everyone (and you are greeted by everybody, from the receptionist to handyman). Rooms are clean and it's a pretty high standard, especially in Spindleruv Mlyn. Breakfast are perfect (huge selection of really great things including fresh juices UGO). Restaurant BENADA has a slightly limited selection of food and could have a 3.5 stars of five. Bar is perfect and staff as well. Maybe I miss some live music in the evening. Hotel is available for average prices (about 50 Euros per night per room) and due that fact, it's superb. Bar je perfektni a obsluha take. Chybi mozna nejaka ziva hudba vecer. Cenove je hotel bezne dostupny (zhruba 50 Eur na noc za pokoj) a vzhledem k te cene, je to super.

Welcome climbing the outside stairs with all the family staff and 2 kids is challenging. Not friendly welcome speech with a lady at the reception is a disappointment. No refrigerator and at least a kettle at the family apartment is a scandal for the 4 star hotel. No room service, very bad TV signal - nothing to watch before the sleeping time for the kids. Breakfast and dinner without any taste is a trip back in time. Looking at the details of the interior is disgusting. This is not 4 star hotel, maybe not even 3 star!!!! Just the massages in the wellness are OK.

We stayed for 3 nights in March 2016 in a superior room with balcony on one of the top floors. While the room was not very big it was quiet, cosy and equipped to a 4 star standard, with the exception of the tv which had a tiny screen and the missing sofa bed that was supposed to be included according to the room description on Expedia. Included in the room price was free use of sauna and pool. When we went on one evening we had the pool almost to ourselves and there was absolutely nobody in the sauna. The breakfast deserves a special mention. The variety of food they offered was amazing, including an egg and pancake station. One night we also tried dinner in the hotel restaurant and I must say the quality was very good. We paid between 40-50 EUR for two starters, two main courses and a glass of wine each. The location of the hotel is a bit secluded. In that part of the town there is only one restaurant (which we did not try) and a couple of ski lifts for beginner/medium level skiers. In order to get to Spindleruv Mlyn centre you need either a car or take the bus. I think for walking it is a bit too far and also not convenient (only hard shoulder - no proper pedestrian path as far as I remember). The hotel offers plenty of private parking for a reasonable fee (5-6 EUR per night). Overall I recommend the hotel if you come by car.

This hotel has very good location, next to the slopes, but quite far from the city centre. Breakfast was ok, dinner was poor, not many choices of meals. Spa and wellness ok. Sometimes the elevator didnt work, but it happens and they fixed it quite quickly. It is old building so further renovation needed.

Good family vacation Big advantage: a few steps from the hotel is 1170m long red slope {according us blue one/, slope excellent for beginners and small children or those, they are not good skiers. For good skiers not far other options. Our family 3 adults and four children 2y.3y.5y.6years old have spent nice winter vacation in Clarion. The hotel is old, looks old, but inside renovated. We stayed in family room, bid enough, clean. Good support for children, after skiing pool area, kid's club. Food was very good, well done Czech kitchen. We liked our staying in Clarion. Jana

Very mixed feeling here, let's begin with the good ones. Location is amazing, I did like slight remoteness from the town center and fair number of parking places. Buses are stopping nearby, so no big issue. I did like all the staff and was really enjoing my breakfasts here. Rooms were OK, a little bit worn-out, but clean and acceptable. Spent 10 minutes searching for usable plug... sad in 4 stars as well as tinny TV, which I didn't even want to switch on. Very poor wifi and internet connectivity. No in-room bar, that is imho another unnecessary fail. Beer (pretty good Pilsner Urqell) is pretty overpriced here, but that was expected. Overall this place has still to work hard to get on average A/DE/I/FR level and become the real experience then!
