La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Galleria Area

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was a nice size and the air conditioner worked great which is a plus in Texas in July. The breakfast was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was nice but too hot to be very refreshing. Good location. We were very happy with our stay here.

When we came in to the hotel seem it was a nice La Quinta Hotel, but by the time we walk to the elevator we saw the first Cockroach. Once we came in to the room, there was another one on top of the desk which I had to kill. We decided to stay and avoid changing rooms because it was late and we had the kids already slept. The concierge offered a free night, which I accepted, nevertheless, they could not kept their promise (in the morning, right?) because they were out of Coupons..... Wonder why???? After a month, I am still waiting an apology from the Manager...

When I went to check in, their system was down so we were forced to wait to check in. We were hot & exhausted, ready to go rest. Then the a/c quit working at 5 a.m. I went downstairs to eat when some water on the floor had me slip which I landed directly on my knee & 1 of my acrylic nails were ripped off trying to break my fall. I told the lady at the front desk... she didn't care. 1 elevator was out of service. The other elevator bounces hard multiple times before stopping at the 4th floor. We were on the 6th. After all this, I decided to stay at another hotel the following night. I stayed here on Friday night & was to stay Saturday night but I had enough of the issues. I'm not a picky person at all. But Houston is too hot in July to not have a/c & busting up my knee as I did on their wet floor wasn't great. Also being in a small elevator which literally bounces will give a person high anxiety. My kids refused to take the elevator after they had that experience. I will NEVER stay there again. It could have been better, but wasn't. I don't like giving my money to a hotel which is sub standard when I know there are others offering the same rate with an excellent experience as I'm experiencing in the hotel I'm at now. Also, charging $7.50 for a PINT OF BLUE BELL ICE CREAM IS EXTREME! When you can get it at a store for $2.37, paying at most $3.50 at Walgreens which is pricier than a grocery store but $7.50? No, not again. Lesson learned.

I was in town on business for a week. My room was very nice and well setup. I had a desk area to work with power and USB. The high speed Wi-Fi was great. I never had a connection problem. The bed was very comfortable. I normally have to ask for more pillows. They already had plenty on the bed. The cleaning staff did an amazing job paying attention to detail. The ladies at the front desk were always pleasant, smiling and helpful. The breakfast area had a great selection to choose from and was kept very clean. In the evening they would have either cookies or popcorn along with coffee and lemonade. Overall I would highly recommend the La Quinta Galleria In Houston as a great place to stay.

The hotel was very nice. The traffic around it was ridiculous one day about 5:00PM. The location is great.

Good, no issues.Enjoyed my stay. I have nothing more to add.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Check in was easy and no hassles booking through Orbitz.

Very nice time there!!! Very wonderful garden!!! Close to downtown and shopping area!!! Wonderful pets friendly!!! Close to the wonderful trails and forest!!! Wonderful breakfast!!! Parking good and safe!!! Very nice and clean rooms!!!

Easy to get to and close to shopping, restaurants, and highway.

Room met all expectations and staff was polite and helpful.

nice hotel but carpets were dirty and strong smell of chemicals in the room

I indicate the hotel, people on front desk was so so plesent. The guy who works from 2 to 10 was very nice and helpful. I went to the Brasilian consulate, and it is really close. Just 7 min away. I want to be there when I go back. Only because I love cofee, I did not like cause it was week, but maybe it was something that happened only that day

Room was nice but it was right next to a highway so it was a little noise from outside.

The Hotel met my expectations and the location is awesome. You are only within a short drive to the City's major attractions. The Galeria is just around the corner.

Hotel meet expectations. Good breakfast. Rooms clean and roomy.

We made a quick trip to see friends. Needed a convenient hotel for visiting as well as shopping. Location was perfect, staff was very accommodating, complimentary breakfast was quite good. Room was nice and quiet except for some rumbling Interstate traffic that came by about 3AM for about 30 min. then all was silent again.

Front desk personnel needs to be more friendly with hotel guesses

This was an overnight stay and it was good and cozy for the evening. I would recommend staying at this hotel. Great location and close to the Galleria Mall.

The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. My only suggestion is that security be a little more alert. My truck got broken into the first night I was there. There are no cameras in the parking lot, which there should be since it is DOWNTOWN HOUSTON. I would recommend this hotel to a friend IF management made security tighter in the parking lot.

Didn't get to stay long enough to totally enjoy the amenities....but everything was perfect!
