Really nice stay! Great location and nice rooms. Staff was friendly, check-in was easy. AC in the room wasn’t the best, but not bad enough to be a deal breaker. I’d stay there again and would recommend.

The Marriott was a very nice hotel conveniently located within walking distance of Rice. The pool was wonderful, the bed comfy, and the breakfast buffet at the Driscoll's was tasty (they even had salmon & capers!). On the downside, parking was ridiculously hard to find and it will cost you ($13/day). And some of the staff, while friendly enough, weren't particularly knowledgeable or helpful. Overall, liked the Marriott better than some of the other hotels in the area. So I would recommend using it. Just do yourself a favor and let valet handle the parking for you.
Did not use the shuttle to MDA but it was nice to have the option
Very nice stay! Great staff! This hotel is SUPER convenient if you have a doctor's visit or anyone with a surgery at Texas Methodist Hospital (its adjacent, but connected to the hospital). Made our stay very convenient for us while our loved one had a surgical procedure.
If you are looking to be near the medical centers/hospitals this is an excellent choice. I attended a seminar at MD Anderson and this hotel offers free shuttle to amd from as well as to any location whether it be a museum or restaurant within a 2 mile radius. Very convenient. Also inside the hotel are not restaurants, a Starbucks that also sells water amd snacks, a pharmacy on the second floor, an indoor pool/jacuzzi for the colder months, clean rooms, clean bathrooms and a very friendly staff.
