We had booked a single room but on a whim, we upgraded to a "suite." Well, it was larger, the beds were comfortable. TVs were in both the living and sleeping areas. However, we sat down on the couch and my wife reached down to pick up a piece of brown paper . . . which turned out to be a dead, 1" cockroach (or waterbug, depending on what part of the US you come from). On closer inspection, it does not appear that the carpets have been vacuumed for some time. The Styrofoam cups were not individually wrapped so we have no idea who may have touched them before us. No plugs for the sink or the tub. Virtually no water pressure in the sink. The turntable in the microwave does not operate. There is no smoke alarm in the living area, it looks like it was ripped off of the wall, and I won't bet that the one in the bedroom works. A/C in the bedroom was not working properly. Absolute minimum number of towels/wash cloths. We paid for a smoking suite but only one ashtray was provided for the entire suite with two individuals and two areas. The overhead fan in the living area apparently was adjustable at one time but the pull chain is missing so the speeds are not adjustable and the fan cannot be turned off unless the light is also turned off. This "suite" is definitely not value for money.
I have stay here and the place is clean well maintain but the owner is always looking when u leave your room and complain about his towels i have been told make sure u don't take my towels. His towels are low quality material he wants to charge for towels i have never stay in a place where he is so concern about his towels. Overall the room was nice the housekeeper staff friendly. Got small camera whenever i go to hotels and saw him and his wife inside my room looking around to me he has no business inside my room. otherwise no complaints besides towels and them looking around and the wifi is really low always crashing and breakfast really low quality nothing to brag about No eggs, bacon or toast cheap juice and coffe
If you like nosy people constantly monitoring your comings and goings and contractors drinking beer in the parking lot, this is the place for you. Too many other comparable hotels for less money that respect your privacy. I have nothing to hide mind you, but eyes are always on you from the maids, contractors and maintenance personal because they all live on property. Unprofessional, rude, invasive and you dont feel welcome. Truth!
I don't know who should be more embarrassed- United for sending us here (after mechanical failure then telling us we had to pay for our room for their mistake and our missed connection) or the hotel. We were so tired and at about midnight we just decided to tough it out and stay here. The woman at the desk was pleasant but the room was smelly, old, dirty, and broken. Our luggage was sent ahead so we had no toiletries; when I asked the desk if they had any comp toothbrushes/paste she looked but there were none. She said there was a convenience store up the road I could walk to- well at now 1:00 AM I wasn't walking up the road so we went to bed. There really should be some standards and this one didn't cut it at all.
I had booked a package deal through Expedia.com I didn't think they would have dumped my two children and me in a place where I should have carried a can of mace and maybe a pistol. Sketchy neighborhood. Walking to the room, walkways covered with debris and stains. Passed the ice machine which had trash in the tray and bugs. Get to room and there is a trash can right outside my room complete with stains all around it. What appears to be blood on the wall. Open the door and there is an odor similar to a dead animal. Hole in closet hold. Punched in hole in bathroom door. Debris all over bathroom floor. Mold in shower. Stains on carpet. Daughter got bit by something while taking a nap. Feet turn black after walking on carpet. Old style tv that has lines all across the picture. Stains on walls. Really never thought anything could be this bad without having a note of being condemned. Absolutely awful. Stayed one night then left to a nicer hotel and neighborhood.
The room was beautiful, the staff was outstanding, the value was superb. I would recommend this location to anyone that is looking for quality and affordability.
