This light-filled cabin is airy and inviting. The main floor features vaulted ceilings in the stylish living area, a gas fireplace, large smart TV, open kitchen, dining area with ample seating, two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The laundry area is also on the main floor. The upper floor has a loft with two futons and a huge master suite with an en suite bathroom, dedicated workspace and lightning-quick internet. For those seeking indoor fun, the basement has a movie lounge and game room. We have had several groups tell us that they have orchestrated "Olympic games" utilizing the game room....ping pong, airhockey, basketball, cornhole. This cabin is a super comfortable and fun place to gather while adventuring in Western North Carolina.

The homeowners have supplied thoughtful amenities so guest have much of what is needed to be away from home for an extended amount of time. The kitchen is very well stocked for meal preparation with cookware, utensils, coffee, herbs and spices so that one only need to bring your groceries. There are extra blankets and linens.

You may never tire of relaxing on the deck and looking out at the distant mountain views and surrounding woods. Its like being in a treehouse (except you don't have to climb a ladder!) If you do there are plenty of other options of things to do at the house. Plan ahead and have a fire in the firepit to roast hot dogs and smores, play cards on the covered porch, challenge your opponents to an air hockey or ping pong match in the game room. While you could just hunker down onsite, we encourage you to get out and enjoy all the area has to offer.

If you're ready for a hike, you can wander down our lovely, wooded driveway to the 2-lane paved country road and walk in either direction. But even MORE scenic: enjoy 360-degree gorgeous mountain views atop Max Patch Mountain—known to be one of the region’s most beautiful and accessible hikes (less than 2 miles round trip from the parking area to reach the gorgeous summit).

Hot Springs is just a short, beautiful drive down a scenic mountain road. You can enjoy a tasty meal out, some local shopping, a visit to the spa, or beer and music at Big Pillow Brewery.

Also close to the cabin for food options are Dave's 209 and Trust General Store. Further down the road is the mountain town of Waynesville to explore, as well as Sylva, and Cherokee.

There are many great great hikes in the area. Three of our favorites are Spring Creek Nature Trail, Lover’s Leap, and Laurel River Trail. Perhaps spend a day on horseback or trekking with llamas. On warmer days, you can get out on the water in kayaks, canoes, or rafts. So much to do in the surrounding area!

Asheville is less than an hour away for those wanting to visit all that this top Southeast destination has to offer— Biltmore Estate, live music, and a downtown brimming with premier restaurants, music venues, and breweries, as well as outdoor recreation of every kind.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about an hour away if you're looking for more adventure or just enjoy a cruise on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is something for everyone in this area of the NC mountains!
