New owners have refurbished this place nicely. Rooms are a reasonable size and very clean. Our double bed was too small and soft for our liking. Along with several other guest houses, this place is on a busy street so there is traffic noise in the morning, but okay if windows closed. I was happy to have a window to open as it was quite warm in the room (even with heaters and towel warmer turned off). Breakfast is very good, for an extra fee. There is a kettle in the room and instant coffee, teabags, and milk capsules. Wi-Fi works well. Several electrical outlets. Very clean! There are instructions provided for everything. You can see how thoughtful they are. The owner, Frank, was very helpful and made several suggestions. They arranged a discount at a nearby restaurant. Transfer to and from Gatwick by taxi is only 6 pounds. Easy to get into London from the train station nearby. Several restaurants, and a Waitrose supermarket within 10 minutes walk.
Wonderful hosts and very helpful too. Not only did they recommend what is probably the best restaurant in Horley but it also earned us a 10% discount off our check. They also give us guidance to a urgent care center when I hurt my back. The room we had was a triple although there were just 2 of us. We left too early to have breakfast so I cannot comment. Villa Verde was perfect for our needs. Clean rooms, bathrooms, snacks with tea & coffee were in the room.
We recently stayed here before flying out on holiday. It was a very convenient location to Gatwick and when we got back our car was ready and waiting for us. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us. The room was really well kept and the cot even had an extra touch of a blanket. We had a continental breakfast and it was more than enough variety, next time we stay we will get the full English to see try it out. The train station and high street are also very close, and the staff even provided us with trays and cutlery to eat our meal in our room. I highly recommend this hotel and we will use it again when we fly from Gatwick.
Attended a family reunion in Horley and needed a stop over nearby. Found The Villa Verde on the computer so - as always - a little wary. Absolutely no need Everything was just right. Welcome cleanliness staff comfort breakfast and value for money Perfect.
Stayed over for the night before a flight. The room was nice, clean, quiet and a good value. Location is good. Breakfast was very reasonably priced, and nice. Everything you could look for in a quiet airport hotel.
We stayed here for 4 nights after arriving at Gatwick Airport, only a few minutes away by train. The room was spotless and quite comfortable. We had the continental breakfast twice -very nice, fresh, and varied options. We took the train into London three times which we found a bit tiring and a bit expensive. We bought Oyster Cards for travel; we should have purchased daily Travel Cards. The Horley train station is just a few minutes walk away. The room was at the front and we found it quite warm but it was an exceptionally warm week. We did not have any issues with noise even though it is situated on a busy road. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful!
Such a great little hotel/b&b Frank couldn’t do enough for us. The service here is impeccable and it made our trip so easy and hassle free. The hotel is clean and the rooms are immaculate and beds very comfy. Thank you
Stayed for one night. Excellent family room, well equipped and comfortable. Great cooked breakfast. Helpful staff. We Would definitely use this again. Really close to Gatwick airport. Easy overnight parking.
I always tried to avoid staying night around Gatwick. This time I had no other option. After some research I settled for Villa Verde and I do not regret. My stay was without any flaw. Hotel is well located. Checking was very efficient. My room was very well appointed... and this hotel is the best value there. I plan to stay there soon
Loved staying here. Immaculately clean and modern. USB charging sockets in the room as well as Wifi in the room. Theye even arranged a taxi for me early in the morning for a £6 ride to the South Terminal. Late check-in available (which we used faultlessly). Whart more could you ask for ?
