Great location and breakfast. Rooms were fine. Just a notch from being perfect...but really nothing to complain about. Staff was very helpful. I would stay again.

The views were lovely and the hotel beautifully situated. The best was the staff. The staff were friendly and professional and offered helpful suggestions. I was a frazzled traveler whose reservation was confused and they handled the entire matter smoothly while putting me at ease. I would gladly stay with them again.

Close to fish market and docks and handy for walking around the mail attractions.

This is a very nice, convenient hotel in Bergen. It is steps away from the Norway in a Nutshell boats and it is also close to bryggen. The hotel is modern inside and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

Located on waterfront in Bergen - easy walking to everything. Dining room on the water, so has great views. Excellent breakfast included in the room rate. Staff were wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable.

The hotel has a nice breakfast area overlooking the bay. Our room was somewhat on the small side.

The Admiral is a fine hotel, but don't expect it to meet American standards. This is a different Country with different traditions.I was quite taken aback at the unfriendliness and lack of answers to our questions. We still enjoyed Bergen, but found our way around on our own. The rooms are small, but very comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows were great. There isn't an alarm clock, but the TV has a feature available for wake up calls. We had to request an iron when we booked the room. That isn't standard in an economy room. The hotel didn't pass on messages to us, so don't depend on that feature. There is free coffee and tea in the restaurant for hotel guests, but they will ask you to take it out of the restaurant unless you are ordering from the menu. The breakfast included in the room is wonderful, and a great help if you are on a budget. We didn't eat any other meals in the hotel because of the high prices. It seems most restaurants in Bergen average $50-$100 for a main dish. McDonald's is within walking distance and it was $15 for a Big Mac combo, no refills in Norway!! I would advise anyone visiting Bergen to go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed. Research well before your trip.

This hotel is located right on the waterfront and has some great views from the dining area. Great breakfast!

Great, best location in Bergen

The Clarion Admiral is in an excellent part of Bergen Bryggen, right on the water with a view of old town. If you are accustomed to European hotel rooms, the small size and basic accommodations are fine. Our room had a view of the harbor which was great to have. The breakfast was first rate and the hotel staff was very nice. I am a non-smoker, so the room was a bit "musty" smelling. I can tell that the rooms used to be smoking rooms at one point. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. The location was key! Walking distance to everything.

First, the hotel restaurant is VERY expensive (we paid $40 for two bowls of soup). Loved Bergen. Don't let the rain stop you. A great small city for walking. The neighborhood up the hill from the hotel has great views out over the city and the water.Good coffee shop and snacks in the Fish Market at the head of the harbor. Free use of computer (internet)near check in desk.
