The service from staff at the Stanford a Hotel was excellent. We stayed at two other five star hotels in Hong Kong and Macau that did not offer the same helpful and pleasant staff. Language was never an issue. The location allows easy access to transport, markets, restaurants etc. Although the urban rooms are small, the bathroom is more than adequate, very clean and with great showers. The bar and restaurant inside the Stanford were also very good. Great value for great location.
Nice Hotel in the Mongkok area of Hong Kong. Close to the night life of the area. The reason one comes to Hong Kong. One thing is to ask for a non smoking room. 3 of the floors are still smoking. Close to ladies market, which is ok. Lots of great food and if you like craft beer, there are a couple of spots close to the Hotel. Easy access to the Metro. Overall a nice stay.
First time staying in Mongkok and regretted that I didn’t stay there in January 2018 when I was in hkg. Wonderful hotel location with 3 MTR around, 5 minutes walk to so many yummy food and shopping for sport shoes. Attentive good service by staff and rooms are clean and equipped. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again as 2 nights was not enough for me
First time stay at Stanford hotel, i chose this hotel because of other guest review. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Stanford locate in Mong Kok, very convenient to everywhere. The only thing need to be improved was the noise from air-conditioner/roof, overall it was a nice stay.
I selected this property from the internet as it was well located for shopping and food. The Property offered an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. A great feature for this property was the “Handy Phone” supplied to guest. It allowed us to call Home free of charge plus a host of features including being able to take it off the property during our extensive exploration of the area giving us access to directions. The staff at the property where all very helpful and polite. The rooms small but adequate and clean. Breakfast in the hotel was both Western and Asian and more than enjoyable. Overall good value for money.
I was warmly greeted by a lovely and very pleasant front desk staff with the same name as me "Ka Yee". She was very helpful and helped me with instructions on getting to the hotel. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and for all your help! The concierge was also very helpful. He asked in advance if I had glass in my luggage. I did have a glass bottle of coffee in my bag. He said he will ensure he take extra care of it and noted that he placed a tag on it to advise others to treat it with the same care. Location - amazing!!!!! Huuuuuge variety of food vendors just around the corner. Everything that I have ever wanted to try in Hong Kong is literally at my doorstep. The location of the hotel is positioned away from the traffic/ crowd noise. Yet I felt very safe returning to the hotel many nights after long shopping trips way after 11pm. All the popular clothing shops including TopShop, H & M, G2000, Bossini, Giordano are very closeby as well as many makeup brands and stores. Ladies Market and Fa Yuen Street is a 5 to 7 minutes walk for cheap finds of goodies and souvenirs. Walkable distance to MTR, and being in Mongkok, you are central to many places that you want to see and do in Hong Kong. Sai Yeung Choi Street becomes alive and very entertaining during weekends and public holidays with many good street performances. A band that I loved listening to is called EBM, which is right next to the MTR entrance, E2 exit I think. They're very good. Room - beautiful, clean and modern. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and provided me with a much needed rest. Woke up fresh every morning. Bathroom is the same - beautiful, clean and modern. Had all the amenities that I needed. There is only the one time that I needed room service (hoping to get a spoon for my dessert). It was delivered and catered for very quickly. Overall, an amazing stay and I am definitely going to make Stanford my home at my next trip to Hong Kong!
Nice hotel in Mong Kok. Simon Lo & the rest of the staff were very friendly, polite & helpful. Excellent customer service. The rooms were of a very high standard. The hotel is in a good location close to shops & markets. Also available is a free hotel shuttle bus to the Star Ferry. Enjoyable stay
Appreciate the courteous and helpful staff And clean facilities. They upgraded our room to Cosmo— I don’ know what’s the difference. They allow us to early checkin at 11am without any hassle. Super good value for money. I’d definitely stay here again.
Nice hotel. It's in a great location in Mong Kok, nears tons of food, shops and bars. It's also pretty close to the Mong Kok metro stop. The only downside is that there are smoking and non smoking floors. We did not realize this upon booking (we booked through a 3rd party website) or check in so we were on a smoking floor. After a while you don't really notice the smell of smoke but it's something to be aware of. Otherwise I really liked the hotel. The room was small but not uncomfortable, the bathroom was pretty big by Asian hotel standards. There is a breakfast but I didn't have that, there are lots of bakeries nearby if you don't get the breakfast. Overall, a good stay,
I highly recommend this place! Our 2 nights stay here was worth it! Very nice and clean room plus excellent customer service. Space was just right for 2 adults with 1 kid. Will definitely consider this hotel again :)
