Great stay! Great breakfast! Great room view! Great service! Great room space!

Fantastic staff and nice location away from central Hong Kong. Close to all amenities.

This hotel is actually a tourist training school for the adjacent university. However, the hotel has 5 star amenities and facilities. It has a decent size gym, a pool, a spa, sauna and steam bath in the locker rooms. For a hotel with similar facilities will cost at least $100 more per night in downtown. If you do not mind the remote location, this hotel is a bargain. This hotel has some deficiencies. The maintenance of the hotel shows the sign of wear and lack of experience due to be a training facility. The hotel is a very popular spot for wedding ceremony. I saw five weddings in 3 days. Due to the heavy usage, the carpet in the rooms, I saw half a dozen rooms, are dirty. Some deep cleaning is required. I also have a couple incidents with the front desk. I stayed at this hotel twice, first 2 days, a day away and stayed for another 4 days. In my first stay, I got a room at the low level filled with the kitchen grease smell. I changed to another room which smells musty and without a bathtub as I requested. After the first stay, I paid full at the front desk for my 2nd stay that I will get a room with the king bed and a bath tub. When I came back and checked, the front desk reconfirmed my request. When I got to the room, the room has twin beds instead. I requested to change the room but she could only get me a room without bath because other rooms had already been checked in. I felt my request was either being ignored or lost in translation.

We had a pleasant stay at the Hyatt Regency. Hotel is clean, modern and has many nice amenities. Location near MTR station is convenient for travelers. Staff services are friendly and helpful. Food choices plenty and wonderful. Overall highly recommendable.

Traveling on business. It was a great hotel to rest after a long flight. It was exacted what I needed.

This hotel is awesome. It has good view of the sea. It is very clean. The location is perfect, very convenient to take subway. If you have a meeting at CUHK, it will definitely be your best choice.

We stayed there to be close to your son who was on foreign exchange at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In the New Territories, it is removed from the hustle and bustle of Central Hong Kong. The view from our 5th floor room was phenomenal (mountain range in the distance), and our private corner balcony was easily as large as our room (NOTE: The 5th floor is the only floor with balconies). The room was large compared to hotel rooms in Central Hong Kong, and had a sitting area at the end of the bed, as well as fridge and water boiler, which came in handy for instant oatmeal breakfast in the room. It is conveniently located next to the University MTR stop where, with a few transfers, you can get just about anywhere in Hong Kong or just take a 2-stop trip to the upscale mall at Sha Tin for dining, shopping, and/or inexpensive bus transportation to the airport. The only glitch we encountered involved the electricity. In order to activate the electricity in the room, you stick your room card in a slot by the door. The first two nights we stayed there, we were unable to figure out how to turn off the lights without removing the room key from the slot by the door. Without electricity, the A/C and electrical outlets also were non-functional while the lights were off (no charging electronics overnight). Calling the front desk did not "shed any light" on the problem, and we declined the offer to have an engineer come to the room to investigate because we were already in bed. Mysteriously, on the 3rd night, the switch by the bed to extinguish the lights was working, and we were able to leave the A/C and electricity on while sleeping for the rest of our stay. Bottom Line: Highly recommended! This is where I'll be if I ever come back to HK!

Hotel provides shuttle bus service but it is not known to us until we about to check out. Our flight was early but the earliest shuttle bus was 9:30am, not good for us.

Excellent hotel located in the new territories. Hotel offers the river view with close proximity to MTR station. Great staff and wonderful restaurants.

I live in Hong Kong but wanted to get away for a night. This hotel is out in Sha Tin, still conveniently located at an MTR stop but far enough out to not feel like you are trapped in the congestion of the city. They gave me a free upgrade when I checked in, and the room was beautiful. I have stayed here multiple times and this hotel is always clean and always goes above and beyond to make you feel pampered and taken care of. The pool and gym facilities keep me coming back. I do wish breakfast was included, but don't really mind paying for the breakfast buffet because it is so good. I will definitely be returning!

Quite location, good value, but offers no free wi-fi.

This is one of the better kept secret in HK if you don't have to stay close to the busy areas in Hong Kong or Kowloon. Marvelous hotel and wonderful harbor view, great dinning experience and closeness to Sha Tin shopping plaza make this trip a memorable experience. I will be back.

very nice hotel, clean, staff very nice and polite, room clean, with a nice view,,modern, and spacious....for sure ill recommande it. But the only problem is that its far from downtown...the shatel bus is available, but not very convienient ......

Great Hotel!

I went to Hong Kong for a week vacation and stayed at the Hyatt in Shatin. Planned to just look around and maybe take a trip to Macau while there. The hotel is very clean and friendly. They only draw back is that it is a bit of a distance from the main areas of Hong Kong. But it is much cheaper than the hotels in Kowloon and HK Island for the same quality. There is a subway station near the hotel that provides a great way to get to the city area.

Bus service from HKG is 175 HKD roundtrip. Brand new hotel. Near University MTR stop.

The hotel is clean and the staff can't be any more curteosy. Before you even walk over to the reception, the staff is already offering you their assistance. The room is clean and has a great view regardless if it's on the river view side or the mountain view side. The pool is a piano shape pool with a Jacuzzi and there is a mini yard and garden where you can sit and hang out with your friends. Also, there is a children's area at the yard where they can enjoy the slides and activities. As for the location, it is in New Territories. If you are looking for the hustle and bustles of the city, then this is not the area you want to be. Be warn that the hotels in the business districts are not as big and as clean as this, and by saying that it is from experience since I had stay in hotels in both areas. But if you enjoy some nice and quietness where you are going to stay then this hotel is perfect. It is extremely close to shopping centers, you can take 4 HKD train rides (by the way the train station is less than 5 mins from the hotel) to either Shatin or Taipo, and the shopping centers are right off the train. I definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again myself.
