Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Pros: +good price given what you get +breakfast has a decent variety of food; arguably the best selection of Western food in the neighborhood Pro or con: +/- location is either a pro or con depending if you know how to navigate the bus system, or your willingness to take cabs. The tourist hotspots are not near the hotel, nor is the train. But if you can get past this, the hotel is in close proximity to several key local buses. Con: -walls are thin (though if you keep the bathroom fan on and have ear plugs, you should be ok) -not the most scenic of areas -8 out of 10 staff members I encountered were excellent and super nice; 1, however, almost forgot to give me my cash deposit back until I reminded her, and another who worked in the breakfast cafe was quite curt in demanding that I sit in a certain section

it is a good stay. The staff are friendly. The location is close to many good cafe with reasonable price

Right between Wan Chai MTR and Wan Chai ferry in a very quiet area, but close to the Lockhart Road.

My sister and I stayed here in May 2015. The room was a lot bigger than some of the other Hong Kong hotels we have stayed at. The only downside was that it was not close to any subway/train stations. We had to take a bus if we wanted to get anywhere. Overall we had a good experience. The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

it's close to food but other needs are not too good.

Hotel staff was great , rooms were clean , enjoy staying there , a little off the beaten path for location ,

It is a nice hotel. Staffs are very nice too. Just only the location is not near shopping area. I would like to stay again in this hotel.

I booked this hotel last minute thinking it was close to a metro station. Turns out it is about a 30 minute walk to any station, however - they have free shuttles that leave frequently to two very popular locations that have metro stations. The hotel room reminded me of a very high-tech dorm room - very cozy.

very good, but we dont like the glass bath room door

The hotel is clean and profesionally run. While it is not that close to the main tourist areas, there are restaurants nearby and retail activity. It is close to the Hong Hom train station. I was in HK for business. The concierge was helpful suggesting restaurants and directions. The door man helped me waive a cab.

The hotel and staffs are very good and friendly, the shuttle bus needs more services in the morning and the day time. If U know the local bus routes, it will make U feel more convenience.

Was a very nice time all the way around. Did not have any problems or complaints.

I really picked the hotel because everything else is very expensive but I found out it was my best choice. The hotel, Staff and everything looks Fantastic. One thing that make you feel not good it's 1Km away from everything so if you are someone like to walk this distance I think you got everything that you need. keep in mind the view is not something expected in this hotel except the Swimming pool it's a BIG WOW. try to find get a view to the pool.

The hotel was a pleasant surprize ! Modern renovation and well appointed. Great restaurant. Location is a bit distant from the main business districts and there is no MTR station near the hotel but easily reached by taxi. Will definitely stay here again.
