The toilet flush did not work well. It is too old.
The location has easy access to all amenities, but it’s just located right in a Chinese market of which not many people will be used to. The wall of some rooms really needs to be repainted.
A non smoking room is filled with cigarettes smoke.
The same mess that was in the room when we arrived was there when we left, despite staff coming in to "clean." I found other traveller's stuff under the bed... I left it there. The size of the room was OK for two... however, we were missing a lot of amenities compared to the rooms our family stayed in at the same hotel at the same time. The paint was peeling in the bathroom, tiles were cracked with pieces missing and I thought parts of the ceiling above the bed were going to fall on us. The carpet was gross... couldn't walk barefoot without having to clean stuff off your feet. Security staff were amazing! Helped us out a couple times when locals tried to take advantage of visitors. And they were so friendly! There was a language barrier with some reception staff and we totally expected that and made it work with google translate! The foyer and bar were beautiful and clean. The staff make a stiff drink! :) We were sad that we could only use the pool once during our 10 days... there were monsoons and typhoon warnings our whole time in HK. Location is great - there's a market on the street out front and it's so close to public transportation. If you stay, I suggest skipping the breakfast option - the fresh food and bakeries on the street kept us happy and full all week! Heads up, this hotel is in a more local area - not a tourist location. We knew and planned this.
