Nice location close to MTR station, but the bed size is too small

The expensive rooms are tiny and cramped. The cheap rooms bigger and better, but if you switch, they won't offer a refund nor let you view a room before switching. Some rooms also have water damage on the floors. My personal experience: Normally, I love this hotel. It is extremely quiet, far from the city, and an extraordinarily peaceful place to stay. However, during my stay this time, it was nearly the opposite. There was a screaming baby near my room who seemed to stay up past midnight almost every night. On top of that, there was construction outside. I asked multiple times if I could switch rooms, but was refused every time unless I paid extra. When I finally did, I was placed in a room even smaller than my original, but was more expensive because it came with a view - yet the view was exactly the same. I was very very disappointed.

Room too small. It is clean, close the subway. Staff really friendly. That it is. If you like big rooms this is not. If you do not care about room size and you are looking for a placed to crash after a whole day walking around Hong Kong this is the place.

Good for a short stay in HK. With in walking distance of public transportation. Breakfast was OK.

Would stay any time visiting Hong Kong, the hotel is located very close to the metro line. Staff is wonderfull to deal with and the hotel is just great.

The reason I booked to this hotel was its near the ferry terminal going to Macau. The staff was very friendly and the morning breakfast was average but the service was excellent. I would be back to this hotel again because of the friendly staff who go all out to help you.

The Butterfly Hotel is located 30 mins walking from Central downtown or 10 mins if you take the MTR that is two blocks away and very easy to find, there are many restaurants around the area. The room was small but clean with a comfortable bed and different types of pillows, it had everything I needed including the hair dryer, the safe and comfortable slippers. There is a small restaurant and lounge. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The Butterfly on the Waterfront Hotel is very recommendable for the price.

this room had a fantastic view. quite small though, but not unexpected in hong kong.

Rooms are pretty small and while location is convenient its a little out of the way. Overall good value though

The view of the harbour was nice, but was obstructed by a balcony. Aim for a floor higher than the 10th. For price, the place is decent, very clean w/ a nice staff. I liked how the elevator card was rigged so that it would only open to your floor, I felt that was a nice safety touch. I have stayed at the Butterfly on Hollywood Rd a number of times and I would have to say the location is better and more interesting on Hollywood Rd. This place is about a 10 minute walk to the MTR and is an area surrounded by a lot of packing and shipping facilities. The staff was very sweet. However, next time, I'll just do the Hollywood Rd one in Sheung Wan.

well priced hotel. high quality furnishings with a modern style. rooms are small but comfortable. you'd need to walk a couple of blocks to the closest mtr station.

The hotel was very clean and very close to the metro station. It is quite convenient and the price was very good!

This was our first stay at Butterfly hotels in Hong Kong. We took the ferry from Shenzhen to Hong Kong's Central ferry terminal and it was a very quick walk (15 minutes) along the waterfront to the hotel. We checked in before Noon and stored our bags with the very helpful staff and then took off for The Peak and the rest of the day. When we came back around 10pm we were delightfully surprised to have been upgraded to a suite. Great sleep...great everything!

I had 6 night in current Hotel. Nice and clear. Only one issue- restaurant Breakfast option need to be increase. Not opening for evening if you nothing to do.

I had a very good experience at the Butterfly hotel. The people were friendly, the rooms were comfortable and the location was good. I waas close to the pier for Macau and to the subways.

Great waterfront location at the heart of Hong Kong island (near both Island Line and Tung Chung Line MTR stations and Sheung Wan / Central / IFC mall). Room is rather small, but spacious enough considering Hong Kong standards - clean, well-maintained facility!

Good view of ICC and thr harbor, reasonably priced.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. It was a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Macau Ferry terminal and a 20 minute drive from the HK international airport. It was a nice getaway from the busy parts of Hong Kong but still walking distance to MTR and bus stations. The only downside is there is no airport shuttle and the bathrooms are enclosed in glass so you must ask for a makeshift curtain for privacy.

The hotel is good, very cleaned BUT it is located away from subway, dificult to take a taxi and the neigborhood is not good and is very dirty.

The rooms are small but clean. Complimentary wire-less throughout the hotel. Single elevator tube servicing 32 floors can lead to longish waits though.
