Very historic. Close to the main strip alot to see
Nice hotel close to Hollywood Blvd. The executive suite was nice and spacious, like a one bedroom apartment. The only tough part was parking, they have an underground lot apparently but a lot of guest arrived at the same time creating kind of a traffic jam in the driveway. Also kind of wish the TV was in the bedroom instead of living room. But I would definitely stay here again. It was a nice sized room for the price.
The staff were lovely. The carpets could use some updating. It was convienet for our purpose.
Really great location. Just two blocks to the Chinese theater and Dolby theater. Parking is free. The staffs are nice.
The room smell bad and it is noisy. The good thing is free parking.
Didn't spend much time there but no complaints. Clean, comfortable, great location for my needs.
I have stayed here twice and found it to be just what I needed both times. The rooms are spacious, and not fussy. I like the garage parking, and the proximity to the Hollywood Bowl was great as I was able to walk to the concert there. About the only drawback is the very hard mattress, but I piled up all the pillows around me and made it work.
The lobby was nice, clean, the staff was friendly and check-in was fast. Gated parking garage which was nice. I stayed in the executive suite with double beds, and a full kitchen. The walk to my room was short , BUT the carpet was old and dirty. The staircase to the parking garage was filthy and dust everywhere, some of the carpet was also ripped. My room was clean, the kitchen was bigger than I expected. The room itself was pretty big as well. The tv was one of the old box tvs from the 90s. Overall I was very happy with my room, BUT ... When it was time for bed I realized that one of the beds was INCREDABLY sqeeky, and my son moves a lot when he sleeps. The shower was not fun for me. The hot water suddenly disappeared in the middle of my shower, and was left to take a very cold shower. When I got out I realized it was because the person in the next room was also taking a shower, so the hot water was probably directed to the other bathroom. The continental breakfast was coffee, juice, bagels and muffins. Overall, this would not be my first choice on my next trip to universal, but if I had no better option I would stay here again if I was in a better room with no sqeeky bed and a constant flow of hot water. In the end the room and experience was alright for the price we paid. Afterall, we just needed a bed to sleep on for the night.
Great grounds - in a cool mid-mod bldg balconies open to green and pool. Very LA, very convenient (especially if you don't want to rent a car, nor be on the Times Square madness of Hollywood Blvd). The room was dated and inefficient (i-phone and computer plug by one bed, not a desk. Weird bathroom. Horrible drying soap. With an upgrade this would be topnotch. But maybe more pricey. For the price, happy!
