No wifi , old equipment , price not good . Not enough light in room . Recetionist nice, but hotel need improve facility to get good feedback from customers, especially having wifi but customers not access.
This hotel located in strategic spot, near bus stop, and in walking distance to ben tanh market. With clean room, hot shower, friendly english speaking staff. Stayed only for one night and no opportunity to try the breakfast cz had to leave early in the morning..
Hotel is dirty, small rooms, dirty bathroom with broken shower. Next to hotel is construction working non stop overnight, very noicy, it was not possible to sleep. Hotel staff unhelpfull, not able to solve our situation.
Overall the hotel is fine, my stay was fine. The room was spacious with nice bathroom, television, functioning aircond. What I can't stand was the terrible WiFi. Since I was travelling there it's only natural that I need Wi-Fi to communicate to people back home and my family members who are staying in a different room. But the line was terrible! It was a total let down for me even if the room was okay. The hotel provides breakfast and I liked it very much. The hotel serves pork so it was totally awesome hehe. As for the staffs, they were very helpful they even got in their way in crossing the busy roads, across the hotel to come take our luggages. Just the wifi *sigh*
We arrived around 12mn and the transfer van (courtesy of the hotel) was waiting for us at the airport. The driver was quiet, but given how late it was, it was quite understandable. Once we got to the hotel, we had some issues with our reservation. It was difficult to converse with the receptionist since he could barely speak English. Nonetheless, he was kind and patient with us, which was a huge plus! Since the room we were supposed to have that night was given to someone else, he let us stay in the deluxe room (RM 304) temporarily. Upon resolving the issue, we asked for the Wi-Fi name and password from the receptionist and went to our respective rooms. Our friends got RM 804, which had a window that allowed them to see a little bit of the city. In RM 304, we had one double bed and one twin bed. It was equipped with a television and a refrigerator. There was a drawer between the two beds that had sockets where you could charge your device. It also had two switches, one for the lamp and one for the ceiling light. The bathroom was clean and it had a bathtub. There were also the usual toiletries. The shampoo/conditioner was fragrant. In the morning, we had to transfer to RM 403. This was what we originally booked. It's a standard room with two twin beds. We only had two pillows, so we requested for two more from the housekeeper and she happily obliged. Unlike our previous room, this one was smaller and locking the room proved to be a herculean task. Most of the sockets were also malfunctioning. Only one was working in the room. There was another socket inside the bathroom for the hairdryer. It was average but sufficient. To those who are claustrophobic, do not get RM 403 since there are no windows. The hotel also serves breakfast from 7 - 10 am. It's a buffet, so you can eat as much as you want. All in all, it was not what we expected given its 3 *** rating, but it was enough. :)
Booked in City Star Hotel due to late night party. We we arrived there (we advice for late check in), they said they are fully booked so they just transfer us to their "sister company" nearby. 1. Room rate in the sister hotel is 320k VnD 2. Disgusting hotel! Never book in this hotel if you will arrive rate even if you advice them. They will give your slot in other people and transfer you in this super old disgusting hotel.
Check-in was fast, staff are very courteous, room is very comfortable and worth the price, good hotel location. the only downside was the beeakfast due to very limited selection. Overall, this hotel is recommendable. We will definitely come back.
Solid budget hotel with decent rooms and good location. There's good coffee and banh mi right across the street, and there's other good stuff right in the neighborhood. It's only a 10 minute walk to Pham Ngu Lao, and 15 minutes to the market. The staff were extremely helpful. They not only were very helpful around the hotel, but also allowed us to store luggage for a few days while we left on a trip, booked us a driver for three days, and told us to call them if there were communication issues with the driver and they would help translate. Definitely recommend as a well-located no-frills hotel in Saigon.
Clean hotel with basic ammenities-good hot shower. Its a good 10 to 15 minutes walk to ben than market and 5 minutes away to the cinema/starbucks. It is quite centrally located. Basic breakfast. Its worth what you pay for. The pictures of the lobby is not accurate i feel. It is a small hotel. And the lift only takes you to level 8 so if you stay on level 9, you have to climb the stairs. Not great for heavy luggage.
The hotel is clean and the staff at the reception and in the dining area were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. Good breakfast. Very peaceful location. The security guard was very helpful when we arrived considering that it was 1:00 AM . The receptionist offered to take a cab for my airport transfer and she told me how much is the right fare. I recommend this hotel to travellers.
