We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found the hotel and staff really good! This was a great 3 star hotel where the room was clean and had the amenities we needed and the staff helped us with everything we needed (directions, information). Great location and biggest breakfast also had a great range. We also ordered room service and the food was great. All in all, great hotel for a great price and would recommended to anyone who wants to visit Saigon!
Staff fantastic very polite Bar staff rachel vince Owen Selina And Mrs Tien All very special people make everybody so welcome Will be back ASAP THERE IS ONE SPECIAL BARMAN DAVE HE IS MAD AND VERY FUNNY ! !
I was at this hotel last year and would never think of staying anywhere else, I've came back this year and found the bar staff on roof bar are the best, Vince, Owen, Dave, Rachel, Selena, Sam and of course Harrison, made our stay so great, love them all can't wait to visit next year
We stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting HCMC. Having been to the city a few years ago as backpackers we were keen to stay somewhere a bit nicer than the main backpacker area (although there are many decent hotels there too!). We had been due to stay in the Alagon Central hotel but this appeared to be partly closed for renovation (although we hadn't been informed of this prior to arrival it wasn't an issue as there seem to be 4 different Alagon hotels which all interlink) so we stayed in the Alagon City Point instead. We had a room with a window and rooftop pool access - it was reasonably spacious (although a bit worn) with a good bathroom. The aircon was very good and not too loud which was ideal for the very humid nights! Breakfast was plentiful although possibly more geared towards Asian tourists with slightly fewer western options which is understandable in South East Asia. As a quick aside it is worth checking all the fine print with regards to pool access etc to be sure what is included in your room rate. We had paid for full rooftop pool access (which was a nice pool) which came at a more expensive rate than the spa bath/jacuzzi which is also situated on the roof. We were told by the attendant that we therefore could not use the jacuzzi which seemed a bit unreasonable given that we'd already paid the higher rate for the full pool and he didn't mention this until after we'd bought a beer in the adjoining bar area! Overall it was a decent stay and we would stay here again, although for the price there is probably better out there in HCMC.
I visited Saigon for a few days and I love that this hotel is in a very convenient location! It was pretty easy to walk to the center of Saigon, Notre Dame Basilica, Bui Vien and Benh Tanh Market too (around 15-25min walk)! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and were always attentive to our needs. The swimming pool and jacuzzi on the rooftop bar had a great view, it looked so beautiful to look at the city at night.
I stayed in this hotel for four weeks in the deluxe premium room. Good things about the hostel - - Smart TVs in the room (a necessity for the ones who dont know Vietnamese) - Reception desk is friendly and would help you out for all pick up and drop - Cleanliness is apt - Rooms are big enough for the money and come with a decent size bathroom and a window - Location is really nice - a lot of places are at a walking distance from the hotel. loved it. Negatives: (more from the per - Breakfast have very limited veg options - Staff does not know even know the basic English words like Spoon - had ordered a spoon, got a tea instead.
The hotel is in a brilliant location within walking distance of most major attractions within Ho Chi Minh City. Layout is a little confusing as there appears to be three hotels on the site. Not only does the cause problems for getting taxi drop offs but also issues within the hotel as certain breakfast rooms are for certain guests whilst not all bookings include use of the pool. Pool and bar area has good views over the city but a limited number of chairs and loungers and is probably not worth paying for (around $10 pp) unless it is included in original booking. Room is good value although a little on the small side and the bathroom appeared to have a few cracks beginning to show - shower fitting slightly broken so sprayed all over the bathroom and gaps between shower and bath caused leaking. Needs a bit of updating. Ate in two breakfast rooms and were told we couldn't use another one. One room provided a good spread, plenty of space and a particularly appealing fruit selection. The other was cramped and had run out of most foods - it appeared to have been a meeting room that was converted to serve breakfast as an after thought. All in all probably compares favourably to other hotels in Ho Chi Minh City especially for amount paid. Friendly staff and good location that does a job for those wishing to explore the city just don't expect the upmost luxury as it needs some improving around the edges.
This hotel was in a good location right in the centre of town. The rooms were clean and well air conditioned and nice clean bathrooms. No windows in our room made for a quiet but quite dingy room. Lovely lobby with air conditioning. The breakfast bar was shut so we were sent next door. The breakfast was included for us, however the spread is very focused on Chinese or Japanese foods, with some Western food, all at average quality. Fruit spread was good. Beautiful pool and bar upstairs. Please note that to use this pool however it will need to be included in your room- if it doesn't say included then you'll need to pay 6 or 8 USD per person per day. Drinks are double what you'd pay anywhere else in Vietnam- but that's typical hotel prices in HCMC so I'd advise checking out the local restaurants and bars :)
This hotel is very good. Here are my reasons; Spa The pool is an average size with lots of sun beds. The jacuzzi is very hot and has lots of room. But at one side, there is a plug that is so strong it made children unable to get out leaving a very painful mark/bruise. Adults were even struggling to get out. Guests should not feel they can not go somewhere. Therefore, it should be sorted. Rooms The rooms are very clean except bathroom is very dated and the ceiling was mouldy and needed replacing. The air conditioning would leak at some points. Breakfast It was a very average breakfast. There was a variety of food you could choose from and was packed with people so you could hardly ever find a table.
It's our third stay in this hotel and it constantly upgrade. Rooms are clean, large and comfortable. Location is close to restaurants and shops. The Staff was very friendly and helpful, they kindly arranged our trip in Da Nang ( ask for Austin at the reception). I would highly recommand this hotel.
