The hotel is noce as many amenities me as an american are use to, but like America there is construction but usual in America they at least compensate and tell you when they are going to be banging and hammering all day above your most expensive suite in the hotel. I was not offered any sort of compensation or reduction not needing one just thought it would have been the correct thing to do is to offer something for the trouble. so they really lost the 5-star rating for that purpose not that the service was bad the management was not up to par on courtesy towards the client.

Room was well-apointed - Perfect for an overnight stay. Breakfast was decent, primarily aimed at Asian customers. The was 3 different breakfast areas - Hard to know exactly which one was correct, especially after a night of drinking ...

Wow this hotel had everything from a roof pool and spa and bar to beautiful furnishings Staff were exceptional trying to please where possible This is a must for any tourist and you will not be dissappointed

Appreciate for clean rooms... excellent room service... good rooftop access... pool.. Recommended for family ...solo...travellers due to perfect location in district 1. Very limited provision of breakfast for vegetarians. Being vegetarian, I couldn't have anything except juices and fruits. Thanks and appreciate...

What an amazing place in a central location. Great staff and lovely clean hotel, cannot fault this place. Breakfast was great with many varieties. Good location to markets and night life. Rooms were large.

My husband and I spent three nights here. The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff are lovely. We got one of the more expensive rooms. The aircon was old and noisy. Our bathroom was very old and out dated. The shower was not good at all! It was very low and looked like it would fall off the wall. Apart from the terrible bathroom the room was nice. Hotel had a very good breakfast! Nice pool and bar! Not sure I would go back unless the bathrooms were redone.

I had a wonderful stay in Alagon central hotel. The room is comfortable, location is safe and close to places of attraction also the staff are friendly and helpful especially the receptionist (Ms. Sunny) who assist us around the places to visit as we are not familiar around. Recommend this hotel if you are to visit ho chi minh next time.

The hotel was just amazing in all the aspects. We stayed over there for 3nights, cuz unfortunately we had a mini vacation, but we would happily go back. . Helpful service at the reception and a great service at the pool and jacuzzi bar. ( if you like cocktail, they have an amazing special mojito) . Clean room, with spacious bathroom. . Nice pool and view. . Great localization ( we basically walk to most of the touristic places, what was about 10-15min walking ) . Breakfast was good, but could be better. Thanks for the great time.

Was a bit disappointed in the room. While it was clean and the bed comfortable there was little room for our two suitcases. We ended up putting them on the floor on each side of the bed but had to crawl over them which was a great nuisance. The drain in the shower was very slow so water backed up while showering. There was a window in the room but it looked out into the stairwell not to the outside. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our trip (one room at the beginning and a different room at the end) and both rooms had the same problems. There was also a problem with the TV in the second room. IT came quickly to fix the problem but once we returned to our room after having left for dinner the problem had returned. We did not call the front desk since it was late and we would be checking out in the morning anyway. On a positive note the location was great, The staff was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was outstanding! I had a massage in the spa located in the hotel while I was there and it was one of the best I have ever had. There was free wifi which was pretty reliable. Would I stay there again? Yes I would. Overall it was a good choice even though the room was on the small side. We weren't in the room much - only to sleep and shower- so it was fine for us.

- have to climb up few steps of stairs to reach the lobby of hotel which might be hard for seniors - breakfast - variety to choose from. daily with diff. menu. soup of 3 kinds are always great. actually, can be considered as heavy meal. - salad - very fresh and diff. kinds daily aside from the usual lettuce, tomato, cucumber etc ...they have prepared potato salad, ham salad and tuna salad. all very delicious. - room is cleaned daily. but shampoo is not suited for asian hair. my hair became stiff.... - room aircon has a problem.....the temparature is very hot even you put on 15 degrees. celcius. that make you wake up middle of the night. - rooms are not sound proof. - receptionist speak good english. they are very helpful - walking distance to shopping centers ( Taka Mall) selling branded overruns but if you are travelling with a senior citizen, better take a taxi. Vinasun Taxi is always at the doorstep. - Ben Thanh market and street food is walking distance. I would suggest tourist not to go to ben thanh market anymore, sellers/vendors are not good. they try to fool tourist. huggle for better price. i just walk 1 lane and go out at once bec. sellers tend to offer items at higher price. then ask you to huggle., which i dont like bec. of dialect problem, i cant understand them . - take the taxi to Lotte Mart or look for shuttle of Aeon Mall ( shuttle will stop by Somerset Chancelor Residence Building, walking distance ( about 20 mins from the Cathedral. ) I prefer Lotte Mart, a big grocery which is our passion. we bought a lot of different kinds of coffee, which Vietnam is quite famous for. - Cathedral is close to tourist on holy week. you can take picture in front but cant attend mass. - food is easy to buy a lot of small eateries nearby. ( Pho, Rice Meal, Banh mi) - one thing i have noticed about vietnam is flowers are every where...unlike in my country , where flowers are destryed by my countrymen, you will fell in love with the flowers esp. orchids.... - so far, will stay here again
