I visited this nice hotel in desember 2017 and I was very satisfied with the stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and polite. This hotel have also a good location if You want to stay downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were a little tired and quite small, however the location made up for any room shortcomings. So central to the market, food court and many other attractions. The pool and pool bar were a fabulous way to relax after a busy day and the breakfasts were great with a good mix of Asian and western options. Staff were also fabulous.
I know this is good location, but for $110/ night I don’t think A&em provides the services they charged for. The room super small, the outlet totally not working ( too old I guest), room smell mold, and it’s dirty. I know Saigon is expensive place but with $110/night I expected more than this! I won’t recommend neither come back A&em. And I feel like the receptionist need to pay attention to customers more instead staying around and talking.
Rooms are so small, the building from outside looks great, but the inside is not good, especially compared to other less expensive A&EM hotels. The pool is nice, the hotel cafe is always full of people smoking so that makes me sick! They have some stupid things in place, like they will only give you one room key, they give you a 10% off card for food/beverage but if you do not show the one card, they don't give you the discount, etc The staff are ok, not so nice, just average service
I have stayed here on 3 different trips to HCM. The hotel has been updated recently and is in the middle of everything. So close to BenThanh Market and my favorite, the BenThanh Street Food Market and 4P's Pizza!!! The rooms are small, but I hardly spend any time in the room. The rooftop pool is usually not crowded and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had in Vietnam! I will continue to stay here every trip as the location, breakfast and cleanliness of the rooms cannot be beat!
We spend one night at the A&Em Hotel. The price was 125$ per night and way overpriced. The room was small and the street is very noisy. The only positive thing to say about the hotel is that it is central.
My wife and I stayed at the A&EM Corner Hotel during a recent stay in Saigon. We booked the hotel last minute through Agoda and had no issues. The room itself was clean and tidy and had all of the facilities which you’d expect. The WiFi was great and the location is unbeatable. We had a room on the 5th floor and while we had street noise, it wasn’t excessive. The room came with breakfast which was nice and had much of what you’d expect for both western and Asian diets. The one downfall was the Spa. My wife and I went to the in-house spa for a massage on our second day. The massage was 60 minutes which only went for around 45. The massage was great, but afterwards we were asked for a tip and then told what we had given was not enough. The massage was far more expensive than what you’d pay outside of the hotel and so I would avoid visiting the spa in the future. This is the reason why I have only rated them 4. All in all, a nice hotel which I would definitely consider for a future visit.
I must say that I ama bit torn when it comes to how it comes to describing this hotel. The location is great, I especially loved the fact that it's right opposite a street food hall. Please go there to get your dinner! Such a variety of delicious food, and so cheap and fun to walk around and pick what you fancy! But then the rooms: a really confusing style. Mine was really small and looked like a mixture of Morocco meets a bordello meets Philip Starck? Not entirely sure... Quirky in any case. Definite downsides: Messy carpet; nowhere to put your suitcase except the sparse floor space; no place to put your laptop and work (or FB!). Plus point: the pool terrace - amazing and almost makes up for the rest. Would I stay here again? Maybe, not right away perhaps but I might come back one day.
I stayed at the A&EM Corner Saigon Hotel for three nights. (Dec 12-15). The stay was very nice and the staff were very pleasant whenever I contacted them. The check-in process was a breeze, the breakfast in the morning was wonderful, and the pool area cocktails were great with the evening view. The only hiccup, I must note were some ants I encountered in the room on the last day of my stay. My room was on the fourth floor directly across from the fitness center. I contacted the front desk about the issue and they were very understanding and placed me a different immediately. The housekeeping department was also contacted to remedy the ant problem asap. The next room I was placed was on the 6th floor without the city view but I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of traffic noise. No view, no noise or with a view and traffic noise. The second was better. The overall stay was very nice and I would definitely consider staying at this hotel in future travels to Vietnam.
We stayed for 4 days in early December. The location is central and very close to the street food market. The reception staff were very pushy with tours, we were mid checked in when we were hassled about booking tours through them. Our room faced out on to the main road which was very loud - request a quiet room if you can as we were woken at 4am by street hawkers. In room facilities are good with a safe, TV with English language movie channels, dressing gown and flip flops. Breakfast was good with a wide selection, including an egg station, noodle station and Asian and western choices. Breakfast is served on the top floor with good city views. The hotel has a gym with some basic equipment and a spa, including a steam room and sauna. The hotel has a rooftop pool and bar but there was rarely staff at the bar to order drinks from. Overall a good stay.
