The moment we walked into the lobby area ,we were greeted by a very pleasant and courteous staff who immediately took over our luggage as it was not check in time yet. By the time we got back from our sightseeing, all our belongings were already placed in our room. We were given a very spacious room with a lovely view of the city. What delighted us even more was that there was a coffee percolator in our room. Very clean room and staff were very polite and friendly throughout our stay here. Another thing we like was that the hotel and the JR station were side by side. Eateries are in abundance around this area too. I personally would not mind staying here again.
Another hyped up hotel with overrated reviews. Where do those people come from that give this hotel 4to5 star ratings ? Straight out of a cave ? Backpackers'ds delight ? Capsule hotel users ? Inwon't even look into online ratings of certain sites anymore. This hotel is truly a joke. Lampshades look like and are trash, see pictures, the rooms are noisy, checkout at 10 am !!! Receptionists are friendly but only speak japanese. The hotel has one and only one good thing : one can walk from the station in 15 m over to it. That's about it. I stayed in a lot of hotels in Japan, this is the worst of them all. No way even to sleep thanks to their housekeeping staff starting exactly at 8 am. Wifi not constant but when it worked it did well. View to the river was nice. Strange hotel. I liked their huge keys, a true time travel.
This hotel is extremey tired looking and in desperate need of a refurb. The panels on the bedside table were all broken, air con didn't work at all and only pumped out hot air but we could open the window, also very few powerpoints. If you're leaving your room you need to hand in your key to reception was a bit weird. When you come back, the reception either just hands over the key or holds up a card and says 'is that you'? Which doesn't strike me as paricularly secure.. The location is in a quiet area only about a 7 minute walk from a tram stop. You can also walk to the A bomb dome and station if you felt that way inclined i think both would take about 15 minutes from the hotel. I just took the tram to get tp both of those places. Probably wouldn't choose to stay here again unless desperate.
Not a far walk from the Shinkansen and situated just on the edge of the central shopping area. A 15 minute stroll to the A Bomb Dome. Room furnishings are a bit dated but acceptable and the rooms are very clean and larger than other rooms I've had in Japan with a very comfortable double bed. The service from all the staff is outstanding!
Court hotel is a great budget hotel. Rooms are cramped and dated but the bed is new with a great mattress. Reasonable walking distance to the train station and major sights and very close to the street car line. Not fancy but a good central economical choice for Hiroshima.
We picked this hotel mainly because of its price, it's located right at the heart of the city but their rooms are inexpensive. We stayed in a triple room and it was spacious, so much larger than other hotels by Japanese standard. What's more satisfying is that they provided three single beds in our room, unlike most of the other hotel which offers a sofa bed as an extra bed, here they give us a brand-new and comfortable third bed. Their furniture is a bit old but it isn't much of a problem, at least, the beds and quilts are new and extremely clean. Even though it's only two blocks away from the red-light district, it's pretty quiet around the hotel and I really like how it combines both tranquillity and convenience. There's one 7-11 and one Family Mart at the corner so no worry if you want to get some snacks in the middle of the night. We wished we could have stayed longer here, it's definitely one of the best experience we've stayed in Japan so far. All the staff are really helpful and friendly, I just couldn't find any drawbacks of staying here.
This place was a great location, close to the main shopping area, walking distance to the dome and memorial park. Friendly staff, good size room for Japan and a view over the river, at a very reasonable price compared to some rooms we have paid for on our trip here. As I have mentioned on other reviews here, charging your phones, and other items are a challenge, most hotels we have stayed, lack more than a couple of outputs. To sum up, great place, good location and a reasonable price, definitely recommend this place if you visit Hiroshima.
Visited this hotel 21-23 July follow-on to Mt. Fuji visit and was not disappointed. Superb location to many areas in./near downtown Hiroshima - not far from Train station and not too far from Peace Memorial and other sites. As to the hotel itself, I was concerned after my first Booking.com experiment - but that hotel was pretty good. Small, clean rooms (consistent with Japan), check-in process smooth and overall pretty good experience. Front desk very helpful with maps & info for places to eat, things to do and public transportation options which were plentiful and relatively cheap. I wasn't big on the breakfast provided - but that's just me and I prefer a more western/American type and being in Japan - so don't hold that against them. I think I paid about $140 a night or so for two twin non-smoking beds. Not sure if that was a great value overall but it was what I could find on relatively short notice! Front desk and staff spoke enough English for us to get by - but I need to learn more/better Japanese as well.
Location: This hotel is located on the River and we had a river side view, which was excellent. Whilst a little walk from the JR station, by Street-car not so far. Service: Excellent staff on site. Hotel: Very Clean, 9 storey facility with a breakfast area down stairs. Pay for B/fast the night before fore Y920 and not the Y1100 in the morning. One can eat all one needs. Rooms: Clean, comfortable. Facilities: Coin laundry, vending machines, including alcohol. Local sites: Local sites near by if walking and or via street-car. Supermarkets: The local Family-Mart, Lawsons or 7/11 convenience site which the locals use constantly nearby and prices quite reasonable.
This was a nice, quiet hotel. We had a lovely view across the river. There was no breakfast. It was an easy walk to the entertainment district and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. As with all rooms in Japan, it's small. But comfortable and clean.
