We used our Choice points for one night to visit "Mayberry" in Mt. Airy. The hotel is older. Outside entry. Our door was hard to open but the room was fairly clean. It is dated but it suited our purpose. Check in was easy but check out the next morning was different. Jimmy was on the phone (sounded like he was trying to get an employee to come into work.) Never put the phone down to check me out. His appearance could have been neater for a front desk employee. Never thanked me and just handed me my receipt and continued talking on the phone. Remember your front desk is the last impression that travelers leave with. Breakfast area is small. We didn't get to have anything because it was so crowded. Mt Airy is around 25-30 mins. away. Location of hotel is close to gas, restaurants and easy access to highway.
We only stayed here one night while visiting the memorial weekend flee market. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, as we were there basically to sleep. Room was clean and there were a good amount of channels on the tv. The room had a microwave and fridge. We would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay, room clean, bed very comfortable, easy access from the interstate, they recommend an Italian restaurant Tony's ....it was unbelievable sooooo good. Would stay here again, breakfast was ok, Typical .
After a long day driving stayed at this Quality Inn which I have stayed in before. As usual it was a pleasant stay. Room was clean, service great and great value for the price. Very pleasant checkout with a friendly employee. No doubt I will stay here again.
I love that the hotel is pet friendly. It only cost $10. more to bring your pet into your room. Well worth it!!! The room was okay, the bed was comfortable enough, the service was pretty good. The breakfast was normal cereal, waffles, etc. and, bisquits and gravy, along with scrambled eggs. The bisquits were hard. Gravy was good. The biggest complaint I have is that the pet friendly rooms are carpeted. It was really smelly in the room! If they would remove the carpet and tile the floors, it would be perfect.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was easy to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room. The staff quickly responded and fixed a problem with the TV. Our room with a king bed had both a microwave & refrigerator. The green nightlight flashed intermittently throughout the night but was not bright enough to be bothersome. Breakfast was ample with biscuits & gravy, waffles, yogurt, sausage patties and scrambled eggs. Residual hunger would be your own fault. We would stay again on our way south.
Pretty typical Quality Inn. Just a minute off the interstate with easy access. The staff was great and the breakfast was hot and good. There were a couple of restaurants nearby with one being a good Mexican restaurant. The hotel has direct side doors to all rooms which is great for traveling with a dog. The hotel is pet friendly. The only issue is there is no good place to walk the dog to do its business.
Heading south and remembering that we stayed here 2.yrs. ago without problems we decided to stay here again just for an overnight stay. We stayed in room 112 with 2 beds and the room was clean, bedding was fresh, the walls were not paper thin, and bathroom was very clean. The discounted rate with all the fees was $110. Cdn. The morning breakfast is 6:30a.m. to 9:30a.m. And is typical of all motel breakfasts with maybe a bit more selection. You know, the sausage disks and the scrambled eggs that aren't really eggs, the usual waffle maker, you could find something to eat. The staff also is very friendly. To the manager: the toilet in room 112 needs to be bolted securely to the floor on the left side.
The hotel was okay for the price. Beds were clean. The bathroom was slightly moldy could tell it was older. Tried to call front desk and no one answered. I would only stay if looking for an inexpensive room.
I was disappointed that this motel had exterior entries, but got over that once I was in our room. The room was very clean. The mattress was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The comforter was fresh-looking. The curtains and bedspread were just ok. The water pressure in the shower was great! Since we stipped early for the night it was nice to have two chairs for our use. The continental breakfast was very nice. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, waffles, and several types of bread products. COffe and juice, of course. The staff was freindly and I recommend this location of Quality Inn.
