Nice hotel, good location. Room and lobby was clean. Pool was closed but we had no plans to use it anyway.

I really can't say that my experience was all that enjoyable. Waited at the desk to check in for 20min after watching the desk clerk smoking a cigarette out back and yes, he saw me walk in. The motel was resurfacing the parking lot so you couldn't use half of it at a time and the smell of hot tar was obnoxious. The mattress was like sleeping on a piece of wood and was only about 6" thick. When I asked for a few extra pillows to help with my comfort level there was a tick on one when she handed them to me. All in all..... pass on this place.

Outside entry for door. Pushed chair in front of door. Did not feel safe. Loud highway noises near I-40 and Hwy 70.

Breakfast food waz gorrible and our bathroom sink n shower was clog yup

On the positive side the bed was comfy, staff was nice enough and tried to be helpful. Place was reasonably quiet. Toilet would have looked clean to the casual observer, but under the seat and around the top of the bowl it was nauseatingly filthy. Hand held shower head looked ok from a distance, but up close covered in short hairs. Wow, wonder where that's been? Fortunately a dedicated employee was there to do remedial cleanup. Wish she'd cleaned it in the first place. So if you go, beware! Be paranoid! Inspect closely! Do not trust in humanity! Carry with you a private eye mindset!

great stay and friendly staff, great location and easily accessible. Will definitely stay here again

Hotel is good because it allows us to take our small dog. It has a good location, the bed is comfortable and there is a fridge in the room. However you have to beg for extra towels and the price varies a lot online for this hotel so sometimes I feel the value is not there.

Exit off 1-40 is for Lenoir-Rhyne College/Rte 70. Needed someplace basic to sleep while returning home from a fiddlers convention 35 miles away. New facility, so everything still in good working condition. Plumbing was great - instant hot water in sink and shower. Flat screen TV, mini-fridge (a godsend in the summer heat for keeping drinks/food cold), microwave, 1-cup coffee maker, iron/ board, hair blower in room. Lobby breakfast all cold food, nothing hot - except for instant oatmeal packs. Lobby coffee much better than the coffee-maker in room. Pool was well-patronized Sunday night (weather was a living sauna), but far enough away from our room so that noise was not a problem. Dining options on same cul-de-sac as motel. Other options a bit further along Rte 70 towards mall.

I found the staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was very comfortable, everything you expect and more. Good breakfast really helped me get my days started. Ready to stay here again.

Fine for a one night stay, passing through town. There is an outdoor pool which could be a draw.

Convenient! Very near the center of everything on the south side of town. Also, very well lit parking lot and grounds. Some of the other hotels in the area were darker and looked a little sketchy. Room was dirty, carpet and walls shabby, but the beds were clean and very comfortable. To my surprise the A/C unit provided clean fresh air. Bathroom was clean too. Continental Breakfast was good. Overall, it was acceptable and provided the basics. I get the feeling after driving around town that you won't have many other 'better' options. I would stay here again. (visiting family).

We have stayed at the Baymont several times--and previously when it was Jameson Inn. There needs to be more attention to details, i.e. bathroom sink faucet was loose, bedside lamp switch was not working properly, and looked like that the main part of the floor was vacuumed--but not close around furniture. Seemed clean, but could have been cleaner. Also, bedspreads are getting faded. Only had one towel, had to ask for an additional towel since there were two of us. We were only given one door key card when we checked in--which seems strange. The outside stairways need to be cleaned (or pressure washed)--as well as the sidewalks. Just does not have a "clean" appearance. Personally, I think it seems to be "going downhill" compared to what it was as Jameson. The breakfast room is not kept neat, and the floor was sticky from spilled syrup. The Baymont now seems to cater to many "overnight" utility workers and the like. Many trucks in the parking lot. Can be noisy. Also, on this stay, we received a middle of the night phone call from a "female" looking for some men she had met at the Baymont. Not good!

room was great, but for a single king the room was a little small

We were on a trip seeing minor league baseball games, and Jameson is very convenient to Hickory's stadium. It was perfect for overnight stay. There was no interior hallways (rooms all on outside) which is a negative to some (like my sister when she travels solo) but this one is in a good neighborhood. Breakfast has great waffles.

The night time staff was great :) very nice girl and guy but the lady during the morning hours shouldnt be behind the counter. She just dont come out as a people person. I called the GM on that monday and told her my thoughs she appreciated me getting in touch with her.

The hotel was needed to visit our daughter in college, it was a place to sleep and to relax in the evenings. The continental breakfast was nice. The bathroom needed a little repair but was usable and clean.

The hotel itself was nice once we got past the check in. I made our reservation for 2 rooms in the morning were were on our way home from Florida and figured by the time we hit NC we would need a break. On the [...] check in site there was a option to click for a late check in after 4 pm which I did check. We finally made it to the hotel approx 1 Am and the doors were locked we had to keep ringing the buzzer and when the fellow answered the buzzer through the window he just shook his head and said he cancelled our reservations a 1/2 hour prior because we never showed up. I am confused as to why there is a late check in option and also why our reservation was cancelled for a no show when the confirmation was sent to my email and also since I was billed for the stay. So after 14 hrs of driving, and trying to convince this fellow we still wanted the rooms that I was already charged for we were finally able to go to our rooms after 30 to 40 mins of inconvenience that should have never happened.

Clean room, but the bathroom drain did not drain on the 1st room we were put in and in the 2nd room it was very little better. Shopping for furniture was great.

It was nice enough for a business traveller but probably not somewhere to stay on vacation. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean but breakfast was not that great.

The room was extremely nice and a great bargain. I would gladly stay there again and book through Orbitz.
