We recently stayed at this hotel which we booked through Superbreak for the Harry Potter Studio Tour. The hotel was in a perfect location of Watford Town Centre and a 10 minute drive to the Warner Bros Studio. We arrived midday on Saturday but couldn’t check in early so we left our baggage and took a walk into town. Parking costs £5.00 a day and there was enough spaces for us to park behind the hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Bathroom and shower was spotless. The hotel was very quiet throughout the night. You are given a free code for WiFi which was lovely. You are given complimentary breakfast when booking which was basic but enjoyable. The hotel staff were polite and very helpful and I would definitely consider returning if we ever needed to. Highly recommended.
Large very clean comfortable twin room. staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast lovely. Will recommend to friends and definitely stay here again! Thank You! Great location for going to Warner Bros Studio.
I stayed there over night for a course for work. Overall once I found the place, it was as expected. A note of caution here, Sat Navs might take you to the other Holiday Inn, in Watford. The place once found was like every other other Holiday Inn express. The room was as expected, clean and well kitted with tea/coffee and a tv. Free wi-fi etc. Only two real downsides. Unless you like egg favoured salt avoid the scrambled eggs at breakfast as they came from very salty chickens fed on a diet of salt. The car park at the back of the hotel was tighter than a nunns chuff and any car bigger than a go-kart or mini could well struggle to get in there Overall I would happily stay there again but i would not drive..
We stayed for a Saturday night. The Saturday was spent in London with a show at night, Sunday was for Warner Brothers Studio tour. We arrived early on Saturday morning and were able to park up at around 8-30, well before check in time for the room. Parking costs £5 per day but there are only a limited number of spaces and the bays are tight. We left the car and took the train to London. It was less than £12 each for a return ticket to Victoria that also included unlimited tube usage for the day. Not sure if this is a weekend special. It took about 20 mins to get there and there were plenty of trains running. We arrived back and checked in at around midnight - although quite late there were no problems. The bar was open until one. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we slept undisturbed. The wifi worked fine. There are facilities to print or copy but these cost extra to use. The shower was hot, controllable and the water flow strong. Breakfast was free, tasty and hot but there was not so much stuff out as at Premier Inn locations - there were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage & beans but no mushrooms, fried eggs or tomatoes etc. Not sure if these could have been brought on request but we didn't have time to wait about as we had an early ticket for Warner Bros. There was plenty of cold stuff too for those who prefer their cereal or fruit. Once outside, travel time to Warner Bros was around 15 mins by car, ideally placed. All things considered, the hotel suited our needs for this trip perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would be happy to choose it again if we had the opportunity.
Nice clean hotel room spacious not noisy so had a peaceful sleep and breakfast was good Would recommend to any business traveller. Book on line to get a good deal much easier to go to their booking system.
The hotel was directly round the corner from the train station, great location as HP bus outside station too. Hotel warm, good condition, breakfast plenty, staff pleasant, rooms spacious as three sleeping in one family room.
I spend a lot of time in Watford. Not so much now as my job has changed but still find myself down there a few times a month and always stay at the holiday inn express at Watford junction. The Team there are just fantastic. Ravi, Gabi, Johnathan, Krunal, I wish I could name them all, but they always make my stay enjoyable and are always prepared to engage in conversation and go the extra mile to make your stay as best as it can possibly be, a real personal touch. Although a budget hotel, the rooms are really nice, recently upgraded to a good standard and very comfortable and food facilities at the hotel and close by. This is my favourite hotel and that is certainly down to the Team that work here, a real credit!
I booked to stay in this hotel on a visit to see my son. I messed up on the booking and immediately contacted the help line. A lovely, very helpful gentleman sorted out my booking. The hotel had my room ready early (I am a IHG loyalty member and they always try to accommodate). The room was spotless and everything we could want for a 1 night stay. The receptionist was welcoming. Only had toast for breakfast so I can't comment on the quality.
We went to see the Harry Potter play in London's West End. Coming from Yorkshire we wanted somewhere close to the M1, close to a rail station with good connection to London. This fitted the bill exactly. Immaculate comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast, 20 mins into London on the train and a couple of minutes walk to the station. £5 a day to park your car. We would definitely come here again when doing something similar.
We stayed here for two nights as a base to visit the Harry Potter studios. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from Watford Junction railway station, in fact our room overlooked the platforms which we were a little concerned would be very noisy. However, due to triple glazing we barely heard anything. The hotel didn't look much from the outside but once inside everywhere was immaculate. We had a twin room that was tastefully decorated, lovely comfortable beds and pillows and a big flat screen television on the wall. I particularly liked the bathroom which had a beautiful walk in shower and was all spotlessly clean. The breakfast was basic but perfectly acceptable. All in all an excellent stay in a great location. Would definitely recommend.
