Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and 2 children. We chose the hotel due to its proximity to the Harry Potter studios. The hotel has a bright and modern decor with an airy feel. We had a small suite which was well appointed and provided ample space for us. The breakfast buffet was superb with an impressive choice of good quality food. However, the thing that made our stay so pleasurable was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Every member of staff we encountered, without exception, was warm, smiley and attentive to our needs. We did encounter a small problem with noise on our first night but this was immediately dealt with by reception staff to our complete satisfaction hence the 5 star review. We would most definitely return!
We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting the Harry Potter studios and sightseeing in London. We are a family of 4. The bedroom was spacious, modern and clean. The facilities in the hotel are good, decor is well appointed and to be honest no one has legitimate reason to complain! The staff are wonderful from the reception to bar you are met with a smile and courteous manner. Rosie greeted us 2 mornings in a row at breakfast time and remembered us, a small touch but it goes a long way. My Instagram mad children loved the attention to detail at breakfast, every cereal, yoghurt and fruit were presented in cute containers causing a frenzy of phone snaps to capture the moment! Thank you Hilton Watford. My only slight negative is the outside could do with a lick of paint as it detracts from how good the inside will be before you enter. Once inside that is forgotten in an instant.
Descent hotel for a 3 night stay while working in Watford. Situated a 10 minute drive from the town centre and close to Harry Potter studio which was obvious from the steady stream of kids in capes and glasses brandishing wands at breakfast. The hotel has a gym next door but didn't chance to use it, with conference facilities it can be bus at times with parking at the rear as well as at the front. Make sure you get the exit code on check in Parking is free just need the code to get out. Rooms are of a good size availability as double or twin, with flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and bath with shower. Bar and restaurant are really quite expensive With a seemingly random service charge applied weather you go to the bar or brave the hit and miss waiter service. Food is good but expensive 17 quid for a curry 15 for a burger and fries. Breakfast is good quality wit plenty to choose from check out the waffle maker as well the, breakfast staff are great especially the little Spanish man who's good for a chat and really helpful. Overall it's a good hotel and the few snags soon got sorted by the very helpful staff. Wifi is free for Hilton honours members so join up on check in it's free and only needs a email address
Stayed here for business.... the exterior leaves a little to be desired - tired and dates. As a result I was apprehensive about my stay. That said, the room was more than acceptable the decor inside is as you would expect, Which was pleasing and the gym facilities were very good. Took a while to get a drink at the bar... it’s a good spot for 1 night
I stayed here for one night in February 2018. I was welcomed as a hhonors diamond level guest and was given a room upgrade. I had dinner in the restaurant (it was snowing outside!) and the bar and restaurant staff were very attentive. It was particularly pleasing to see the restaurant manager 'walking the floor' and helping with the service. He also looked after two families with fairly young children. The hotel may be a little tired but in my view, the staff more than compensate for that.
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for the night earlier this month. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very big and the bed was very comfortable. We were offered breakfast in the morning and there was a great selection. Definitely be back!
My wife and I booked for 1 night via Booking.com and secured the room with a credit card. Initial check in was very pleasant however I was asked if I wanted to pay using the credit card from Booking.com - I said no and used my bank debit card with pin - we have just found out they charged the credit card! On entering our allocated room with our card key I was face to face with another guest - we had been allocated an occupied room! This was highly embarrassing for all of us to say the least but one must question hotel staff competency and there approach to guest security! We returned to reception who said the computer was wrong and was showing the room empty - surely it's not the computer fault but more whoever failed to update the system? The receptionist actually entered our next allocated rom first to ensure it was empty - didn't fil us with confidence! Room was ok but immediately noticed a large crack in the bathroom sink - surely this room should be out of use pending the sink being repaired or replaced? We went out for dinner and retired to bed at about 10pm only to be woken by a very persistent knock and voice at tge door. I eventually opened the door to find room service delivering a meal - we had not ordered a meal. I informed the gentleman and, without apologising, he wandered off down the corridor muttering under his breath. What with everything that had gone on we had an awful nights sleep. On checkout the next morning the receptionist had no interest in our stay. I have made a formal complaint to Hilton Hotels listing all of my concerns. I have been offered 10000 points for my Hikton Honors account - which I can't access. 10000 points by the way would not pay for a night at any Hikton Hotel. I have sent further emails to Hilton but they don't even have the decency to reply! We will never use Hilton Hotels again - they should be ashamed of the level of service they provided on this visit.
We booked the Hilton because we are Hilton Honours members but also the party we were going to was only 10 mins down the road. We were welcomed by the lovely Kas who was a gent - arranged a taxi to take us to our venue but also really polite and engaging. We got to our room which was lovely and very clean - everything we wanted and very reasonably priced. Within 5 - 10 mins of being a lovely text from Kas to check we were all okay and very happy. We had breakfast the next morning and meet the lovely sweet Esme who was like a mother to us - everything we could wish for and the breakfast was a great variety with really lovely poached eggs - thank you chef. all in all a great stay and looking forward to our Hilton stay in Brighton in March- we have three rooms booked then. Thank you for a really lovely stay Mary & Joseph
Stayed here as my partner and myself went to Harry Potter world in Watford. The rooms were very clean and reasonable for 2 nights. The breakfast was delicious especially the pancake machine - really cool :). The staff were really friendly at breakfast time and came to the table a couple of time offering us different tea and coffee. Really enjoyed ourselves and will return.
Nice hotel, didn't stay for too long as it was a pit stop on the way to London. The room was lovely, really good size, there are some nice areas to relax and lounge in the hotel. The room was lovely and clean, housekeeping team were very friendly and put a smile on your face in the morning. We didn't eat dinner so I can't comment on that but breakfast was GREAT! My daughter and I love waffles and there is a waffle machine so we were very happy bunnies, good choice of other breakfast items as well. :-)
