We cam for a university visit with my child. The entire place reeked of pot. The staff barely talked. We kept an open mind and went to check the room. The room was dirty. Bed was not changed and stained. Trash on the floor and trash in the tub and paraphernalia. I went task staff to refund us and told us no way. The refused to refund for the 3 nights we had purchased.
Unfortunately the pictures do not do the smell justice. While the front desk employee was very friendly and tried to help, the entire place smells like a moldy cigarette. We hoped the room would be a bit better but the smell in our “non smoking guaranteed” room (which we paid extra for) smelled like a smokers meth lab. The carpet was soaking wet (perhaps from an attempt at trying to get the smell out? Hopefully not plumbing). We saw a cockroach in the bathroom. The sheets looked clean and the curtains newer but alas- nothing can make up for that odor. The bathtub was cracked and yellow. In less than 5 minutes of entering the room we handed the keys back and requested checkout as we would not be able to stay. My asthma just can’t handle it. The desk manager was polite and apologetic and tried to help us out- unfortunately it is not his fault that management and corporate ownership has left the property in such poor condition and is going to try to take advantage of folks instead of closing down rooms they cannot even wait to dry after attempting to clean. A public health risk.
Very dirty rooms. Poor y Upkeep and maintenance. This place is a dump.
Extremely bad breakfast, coffee machine broken. Property smelled like weed and rooms were extremely dirty Lenin and bed sheets had holes in it
Not for us, ideal if you are a meth addict on a bender. No surfaces appeared clean. Mottled shades of filth and hand smears on wall of the lobby, stairwell, room door, and darker smears of the room itself. Odors were thick with onion and petroleum products. Courteous front desk staff was ensconced behind clear acrylic sheets.
The cleanliness and breakfast options of this hotel do not match what we have come to expect from Microtel. It would seem that the independent owners of this hotel have cleanliness and breakfast options as a low priority. Till ownership changes and things are cleaned up would suggest avoiding this hotel.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!! The outlet was hanging out of the wall in the bathroom and did not work, the door to the room would not open unless you through your shoulder Into it and the toilet seat was completely broken. Should have my money refunded!!!!! We almost left it was so bad!
My actual room seemed reasonably clean. Outside of the room was a disaster. If all you like for breakfast is carbs you'll be all set. If you like the idea of protein you'll be hurting.
Worst place ever
Hotel location is good, but everything about this hotel is filthy. Rooms were filthy. Bed mattresses were stained. Common areas were dirty and smelled. Now I am fighting to get my money back.
My bathroom flooded every morning Yes I was in a handicap room But I could I complained twice nothing was addressed other than giving me more towels to clean the mess up the mess I have already have done !
We only stayed there 2 days, as a pre-extension of a longer vacation stay at a different Microtel which was already prepaid and allowed no changes. We only found out after having settled into the unit (hung clothing, partially emptied suitcases, etc.) that we had been assigned one of their not-yet- renovated rooms, without a refrigerator. At that point, we figured that the effort to move our belongings to a renovated room (offered at the time we were advised of the difference) would not be worth the trouble. Another issue we found less than satisfactory was the relative scarcity of parking convenient to one's room.
Cable went out in my room only and waited 4 hours for the person at the desk to get approval from her manager to move me to another room because that room price was $5 more. By then the college football game I wanted to watch was over. The place is very run down and smoking rooms are in same section as non-smoking and the hallway stunk like marijuana.
