First of all, the staff is friendly. Location is decent (off I15 on the SE side of town). The price is great. But this hotel has seen better days and is in poor maintenance. Peeling paint, doors aren't aligned (jamming and letting in light from the hallway around the edges and bottom), just overall a shabby feel. My room had broken furniture and the heater/AC whistled for 20 seconds every time it turned on all night long. The back entrance door has shattered glass and a broken latch, so it never locks. I stayed there once this spring and once this fall, and the door was not repaired in that five months. The rest of the hotel is in a similar state - as little maintenance is put into the place as possible. Also, I stayed on a Saturday night, and I had guests above me dropping large machinery and heel-walking from 12:30-4am. At this price, the hotel attracts a certain crowd. The breakfast is sparse with lots of bread products and not high quality. I skipped it after the first nights stay. For the right price, this may be acceptable to some. It was fine for me, but I will look elsewhere next time I'm in Helena.

The first room was dirty, the phone didn't work. The tub drain didn't work. At least the second room was doable but I would definitely not recommend staying here.

The manager was on a personal call while trying to check my family into a room. Very unprofessional, asking for my card while speaking to another person on the phone. Then the room key would not work because the door lock had a dead battery. The hallways were extremely dirty. When I went to get the room key checked on the manager made a new one, it also did not work, finally he came and checked on it and said the locks battery was dead and he would give me a new room. After he went to see what rooms he had avail., literally had to go to several rooms and see if they were avail. He did not even have the info on the computer system. The people who were staying there were obviously living there and said that sometimes you can just hit the door locks to get them to work. The whole place was extremely dirty and we decided not to stay there after all of the trouble we had just checking in and because of the filth. Another hotel even told us that we could not stay with them after being in this unit because of bed bugs in the Super 8. The fitness room was full of boxes and unusable as well. Serving area for continental breakfast was filthy with coffee spilled and never cleaned up. Worst place ever!

We where told to contact our travel agent and request a refund and they would confirm a no charge policy for the 2 nights of our stay. We found lodging elsewhere.

Dirty room, cleaning crew did not empty trash bins, did not replace shampoo, soap, or coffee on last day.

Two very small and hard pillows in the room. The room smelled moldy and appeared unclean. The coffee packets were opened. Unpleasant experience.

Room was not very clean, tub was stained, bed covers were spotted.

Was quite. The bed spread was dirty and the one wall had something splattered on it. The coffee pot did not work.

The price was right, the service was good. Breakfast was hot, varied, and good.The hotel apperence from the outside looked a little tough, but the room inside was good.

It was a great stay for the price the staff was nice and the even checked the parking to make sure our car was safe

Upon arrival, we were checked into the wrong room type, even when it was clearly stated what type of room we reserved. We had to be moved 3 times because rooms were dirty. Garbage left on the floor, room not vacummed, stained comforters, dirty showers and bathrooms. It was terrible!!!!!!!! Never staying there again!

The hotel was VERY run down. The staff was friendly but cleanliness was marginal and room very noisy.

The beds and pillows were comfortable and the check in clerk was very friendly.

I have stayed in a lot of inexpensive hotels this summer. This was the nicest one. There was no carpet to get moldy or absorb unpleasant odors, the bedding was what could be easily washed regularly, there were an adequate number of towels. The WiFi worked extremely well. There was no attempt at luxury, but that's not what I wanted to pay for. It couldn't have been better.

The hotel was only half full but we were still placed on the third floor as far away from the elevator as you could possibley be. There was no hot food (eggs or sausage) for breakfast. There was very little for breakfast. It was not like other Super 8,s I have stayed in, and I have stayed in many..

The hotel staff was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable

We have stayed at many super 8s in the past, this is one we will not ever be returning to. The only staff that was friendly was the lady who checked us in otherwise they were all very unhelpful and could care less. It felt as if they were on a prison sentence. The continental breakfast was the worst I have even had. Would not recommend staying there.

Don't ask for a extra push in bed on wheels, costs $15 and is absolutely useless.

dirty. had to switch rooms.

The first room was dirty, the phone didn't work. The tub drain didn't work. At least the second room was doable but I would definitely not recommend staying here.

night 1: Mother in-law got bit by something while sleeping (we assume bed bugs). we told office staff about it after she got bit again when we came back after an outing during the day. pillow shortage?
