I wouldn't stay again unless it is a last resort near emergency

The Days Inn in Clayton was just right for me in terms of location, and I was indeed looking for an economical option. However, I was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness, mainly involving towels and bed linens. The rooms need to be revamped with simple things, such as new carpet, new furniture and they most definitely need new curtains so that one can choose natural light without being seen from the outside. The colors of the paint on the walls are hideous as well. The key thing would be to step up cleaning efforts and ensure that towels and bed linens are clean and replenished more frequently.

it is a nice place. you can go to downtown by foot. room is comfortable. Good rate quality/price

nice stay clean rooms and nice pool had a good time will stay there again

The hotel is ok. Big and spacious. The refrigerator and microwave are useful

It smelled and the door wouldn't open unless you jiggled it multiple times. There was no iron and the cleaning people spoke zero English so they were no help. They started to knock on the door to clean at 9:15 am when checkout was at 11am. I will not be going back.

Person @ check in counter was rude.and basically same attitude at check witb a different person. The pool was tiny We had lunch. @dillard.house..flea markets,.antiqueing, I wouldn't stay here again

Stayed at Clayton Days Inn for 1 night during an out of town job. Was a good value, Mexican restaurant next door was good. Hotel was budget friendly but don't think I would choose for a vacation stay. It worked for what we needed it for, just old and dated but fairly clean and comfortable.

The rooms are run down, I reserved a king-sized bed and was told when I checked in the room had a king-sized bed, it was not. The a/c never got the room cold. the fridge didn't get cold, I wasn't able to use the wifi in the room, only in the motel office, the breakfact was less than mediocre. But other than that, the room was clean, the water was hot and the pressure was nice.

The room was comfortable, all facilities present. One of the lamps didn't work, and the drink machine outside was empty, but other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

The check-in lady seemed disappointed that I had gotten a discounted room . She assigned us the room closest to the noisy street, and explained that the arrangements were pre-paid. We ran the room heater to hide the noise. She changed room description. This was our 45th anniversary, so wanted to focus on the positives. The "owner" was nice enough, and a bit helpful. Have used this motel for years, but the check-in lady only twice, and hopefully no more. Other staff are fine, esp.housekeepers.Thanks .

Shabby. Found chewing gum stuck in bathroom. Internet not available. Bed uncomfortable. Rowdy and drunk guests

Ok, clean and acceptable, but worn out, and bland. Clean sheets and comfortable bed. Nice people, but glad to leave. Again, not bad, just nothing special. Had given away our reserved king sized bed too.

I booked this hotel to drop my daughter off at camp- it was me, my daughter, her friend and my friend. No husbands were with us. Our room was above the mexican restaurant where people (workers) were hanging out outside all night drinking beers. Its not safe for women- Our room smelled like urine- I walked in and walked out and stayed down the street- now I am trying to get $ back!

Functional and friendly, good base camp for adventure on the water ot the trails.

This motel is in need of a complete upgrade. It is getting old and the room had an old smell to it. I think our room was once a smoking room.

It was nice having the breakfast avaliable for the children.

The room was decent and had good internet service the first night and the second night I had it for a while then couldn't access it. The signal was there, but it said something was wrong with my IP address. I called the front desk and the lady couldn't help. I got home and my laptop hooked up fine to wifi. I tried everything I knew to do. Maybe it was on my end, but I don't see how. The swim in the pool was OK until we found a dead rat in the deep end. The pool seemed a little dirty to start with from the wind blowing in debris. There was no hint of colorine what so ever. The continental breakfast was the worst ever. At least they had something. Overall I will look elsewhere next time. I will call the hotel direct next time. If you know what I mean.

Good room for the price. Restaurants and convenience store directly across the street.

The clerk at the front desk was very friendly. There was only one king size bed room left and it was over the restaurant. We were given the choice of a double room or the last king room and we took the king room. Don't make the same mistake. Being over a Mexican restaurant, the room smelled very strongly like Mexican food. It was also located down a small hallway which echoed every time someone closed a door so it was a little loud while trying to sleep. I would give this hotel another shot but next time I will stay in a different location within the hotel. Since they did give us a choice I will except some of the blame. :)
