The hotel called me on my way to check in saying there was no credit card on file for my reservation. Once we arrived, we were told we had no reservation until I showed the confirmation number. It then instantly appeared on the screen. The room was disgusting! It smelled horrible, the bathroom was dirty with cigarette ashes on the floor, when I went to take a shower and pulled the curtain closed, dirty wash cloths were hanging on the shower curtain rod, there was a dog barking the entire night and we found out it belonged to one of the staff on duty, when we were packing our things the next morning, we noticed the sheets on the bed were urine stained, and their idea of a breakfast was a biscuit that completely crumbled when you picked it up along with gravy that was so thick the spoon broke trying to stir it. We will NEVER return here!

Reserved and paid through Orbitz but staff tried to get me to pay again. Had to show them the printout I got from Orbitz.

We were very stafely with the HOTEL. It was very clean and had every thing you would need for a few days stay.If we came back hear We will stay again with them again. The top advisory at the HELEN (Americas Best Value Inn-Helen) Was so very kind to us and helpfull with our needs. We can't thank John &Tarya enough for their kindness to us.We where their because the storm made us leave Kingsland and we had to find a motel so we went on line and book it in Helen,Ga.I am so very happey we did. They were so nice up their. Thanks to all who help with our stay. Ken& April Hanshaw

From the moment we arrived the staff(young couple) were marvelous. They took care of every need. Always asking us if we need anything. Room was clean when we upon arrival and next morning our room was promptly cleaned while we were out. The most comfortable beds in our room. Will stay their again.

Poor service and unclean. In particular, the room and pool.

Checked in around 9pm and went to our room. Found the ac unit not turned on so the room was extremely hot. There was a horrible smell that smelled like a nasty bathroom in the whole room. Thought maybe it was due to the air being off and the room being shut up. The mini fridge didn't work at all. When we asked the front desk IG they had another fridge they didn't even bother to look, just told us no and they are in the process of remodeling. The next morning we requested a different room and had to pretty much argue to get moved. Will not ever recommend this hotel to anyone nor will I ever stay here again.

The room looked clean when we arived but went down hill from there, towels left on bath room floor and wash cloth left hanging on shower head. The next day after we left someone put the do not destreb sign from the next door room on our room so our room didn't get cleaned untill we complained . The hotel staff did there best to make it up as most things its hard to come back from the bottom.

hotel was a dump internet didnt work 8 channels on cable dirty room ,, noisey

The room was disgusting, the carpets were filthy, it smelled. The bathroom looked like someone had used it prior to my entrance, the toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall, the floors and walls were filthy. The staff were unavailable, several times I had to wait at least 10-15 minutes before anyone would appear at all and at one time arguing among themselves. It felt like an establishment whose usual clientele rents by the hour.

The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to helen. The hotel was in some need of updating. The exterior was rather worn along with the look of the rooms. Breakfast had a lot to be desired. Nothing hot on the continental breakfast and not much choice on what was offered. Went to the huddle house right down the street for breakfast. The room was a good size and the jacuzzi in the room was huge(needed to be re-finished).

At first site the hotel appeared nice, clean. We were only staying one night and was looking for a moderately priced place to rest our heads. I was quite disappointed when we entered the room. It had a damp closed up smell. We had to run the air unit full blast during our stay to keep the smell at bay. The wall paper was peeling at the corners of the room had obvisous lines of moisture damage on the walls. The toilet seat was old and chipping. There was black dirt/mold? around the bathroom floor. We will not opt to stay at this hotel the next time we visit Helen, GA. It will be worth an extra few bucks to stay at a hotel with no fear of breathing mold spores.

First my 14 year old granddaughter and I was put in a dead end hallway room. There was a spider in the tub first thing. That night something bit me on the elbow really bad. I could not find out what is was but it was very sore and swollen. I still have a knot that will not go away where I was bitten and it's been over 3 weeks. The person at the desk said he did not know what to do about it. So I wrote out the details and had him sign it. The tiles in the pool were all coming off and someone had stacked them all in a pile. The room was clean and other than critters in the bed, they were comfortable. We had booked for 2 nights but decided not to stay the 2nd night and ended up driving a couple of hours to my son's house in South Carolina.

This hotel was not what I had expected. For $174 that we paid, we expected something far better than what we received. No microwave, no frig, minimal coffee, the room was not very clean, and the breakfast well let's just say we found a very nice Huddle house to eat breakfast instead. Will never book a room at this hotel again.

would stay again plenty of room the bed was comfortable clean and need a little out dated but ok for the town of Helen Ga so if you want a cheep rate and a good place to sleep this is it

The hotel smelled like mildew. The location was good but the overall experience was terrible. The front desk attendant was willing to help us and even move us but we were traveling with our toddler daughter and didn't want to move her again. Anyhow, the motel didn't seem busy and we thought we would stick it out. Other guests arrived and were placed directly besides us, meaning we could hear there loud TVs and other noises. During the night I could here our airconditioner unit dripping IN THE ROOM which must have been causing the moldy smell. I couldn't wait to check out.

The room was great, comfortable and clean. No hassels at check in or out. The town was excellant, No snow at first but an hour after breakfast it poured and was perfect. Snowed all day and changed the whole appearence to be one of the greatest ever. Thank you.

Everything is within walking distance, hotel room was adequate but could have been cleaner. Didn't use any of the amenities so I can't comment on them. Would stay again.

We were in town for Oktoberfest and chose this hotel based on it's proximity to the Alpine Village. The hotel was very dirty and water dripped into our room. The staff at the front desk was not friendly and was actually quite rude.. Would not stay here again.

for the location and price it was good

Great location, Great price, Nice desk hostess. But... when we checked in our room & walked in it smelled horrible almost like soured milk! Everytime we entered the room after leaving it smelled that way and that was after we sprayed our own room spray! There was a big brown spot on the wall, The shower was disgusting, a black ring around the bathtub mat and when you lifted it hairs and sand poured out. Luckily we brought our own covers and pillow because the beds didnt look in the best shape. We could not sleep at night because of the constant banging on the wall 24 hours a day! and when we walked through the walkway to the office there was a huge and i mean huge puddle of water! Something must have been leaking luckily we didnt fall. Also the pool was dirty! I will never stay here again. Guess you get what you pay for!!!
