To date, this was the worst hotel experience in my 10 years with Obitz. I had booked two rooms well in advance of my stay to begin with. We arrived early, around 12, and waited in line for quite some time as the front desk staff was hectic, understaffed. I asked if we could check in early and she said no rooms were available, which is no problem as we were early. We went into the city for a few hours and came back. Upon return, and speaking with the front staff, we were informed that due to a technical glitch from Orbitz, that they did not have our rooms available but had an extended stay room. For personal reasons for our family vacation, i booked two seperate rooms for comfort.At no point in advance did they contact us, or even when we asked at noon to check in. All other rooms were booked in the city. We were forced to accept the room they offered as there were no other options. They did not offer a refund for the room which was not provided as booked, simply offered free breakfast and parking and oh by the way we did not even drive there.. In the lobby later in the day, we noticed dozens of business men checking in, and all had rooms, this was 3 hours later. I believe they overbooked a conference and took our room to cater to the businessmen. This hotel is meant for business trips, not tourists. Although the staff was nice, the overall experience of being told you booked a room months ago and simply due to a glitch is unacceptable.
