Close to the Alt Stadt. Very clean. Great service.

It's more or less what one would expect from a Crown Plaza hotel, albeit it a bit dated. The beds were comfortable, the shower was decent, and the rooms and overall hotel cleanliness was up to par. However, after a few other hotels on our 2.5 weeks long trip set the bar at considerably less per night charge, this hotel left us wanting a few very small but key things. 1.) Most upscale hotels in Germany now have a coffee machine or two in a sitting area/cafe area that is free to guests. This hotel has no coffee for guests spending up to several hundreds euro's per night. That's lame. It's a very simple and inexpensive way to keep your guests comfortable and not having to run out in foul weather to get coffee. 2.) 2nd set of elevators. This hotel is really large but it only has 1 set of elevators and anyone on the opposite side of the building from the elevators has a long walk around the entire building to get to the elevators. Sounds like a lame complaint but I was traveling with my 72 year old parents and one just had hip replacement and was still walking with a cane 4 months later so this really became an issue for us. Even without that consideration, it's a long walk to rooms opposite the elevators. We would stay again if we needed to, it was not bad at all, but they can certainly do a little bit more to improve their guests stays.

Take advantage of the Pillow Menu. My first nights sleep was a little rough, the pillow did not meet my personal preference. But there is a menu in the room with multiple styles of pillows to choose from. Very appreciated. The staff was wonderful and the pool/hot tub area very relaxing. Hot tub could’ve been warmer. Excellent breakfast

This hotel is not elegant, but perfectly clean and fine and the location is really very good. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful. Can walk to downtown, castle, train. There is a tram station literally across the street.

Great hotel and location. Very clean and professional.

Excellent!!!!!!!!! Perfect Breakfast, Walking distance from Old Town

Modern with all stuff you need including an ice machine on your floor. Old town is across the street and down one block. You can walk from train station, but it's probably easier to take the trolley or bus.

I have stayed at the hotel on various occasions and the service is consistently excellent. Very nice place to return to.

The room accommodations were very nice. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The lobby was impressive and the staff spoke English and were very nice. They had no information in English about the tourist sites, on in German which was a surprise. Breakfast was not included, though offered for a very high price. We ate breakfast at a nearby cafe for much less. The location was near the platz, but too near the train station. I was disappointed when we first drive up realizing how close it was to the station, but it was only a one night stay.

Stayed for 2 nights. Great location--only a short walk to the main part of town with all the shops and restaurants. The hotel had a fabulous pool/spa area that was very relaxing and wonderfully staffed. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was very clean and the staff spoke perfect English. The room was very nice and clean, and the bed was very soft. The pool area is very nice. The hot tub wasn't very hot, but it was still beauitiful and relaxing. Checkout was easy and the hotel will hold your bags after checkout, if you want to explore the city some more and don't have a place to put your bags.

Dear Scott, thank you very much for sharing your experience at our hotel. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately the building currently only offers the one set of 3 elevators, yet on the 2nd and 3rd floor there is a shortcut to the opposite side of the floor. If given notice that our guests have trouble walking we are more than happy to assign a room close to the elevator. Please do let us know in advance so that we can take appropriate action. We are happy to provide the information concerning the coffee machine to our management. We do offer the option of using our Club Lounge though. At a surcharge, our guests have 24 hour access to hot and cold drinks as well as snacks and a hot snack buffet including alcoholic beverages from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. We do hope you will visit us again if your travels lead you to Heidelberg. Best regards Jessica Hammel Guest Service Manager
