This hotel is located in a very old building. The guest rooms and a lounge are nicely decorated. The hallways and reception areas are run down. The staff is very friendly and helpful, There are laundry machines operated by tokens one can purchase at reception. The heater in my room did not emit warm air for the first few days. I had to make do with a space heater. When the heater did start to work, it emitted too much heat. I had to turn it on and off periodically myself to keep the temperature in the room moderate.

The hotel was conveniently located on a main street in Sydney, but easily accessible. Great elevator access from ground floor, especially with large luggage in tow. Rooms are small, but very clean and modern.
The Pensione Hotel is a perfect location to explore downtown Sydney and is close to great food and the famous Paddy's Market. There is a free shuttle bus (555) that stops outside the hotel and goes to Circular Quay and the Rocks area. The Hotel offers all amenities and you can take your own breakfast food in the Guest Lounge which has tea making facilities and microwave, etc. There are many good restaurants within a couple of blocks for lunch and dinner.
Hello, Its usually not hard to please me with a hotel, I just want a clean room, decent bed and wifi connection! I came hear expecting a lot worse but was pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect to get to any major part of Sydney. The room is decent size. My bed was clean and perfectly made. Everything looked really clean and i was expecting to see some kind of bug or cockroach but Im so glad I didn't . No bugs here! Under the bed did look dirty and there was a receipt from a past guest. I think they can do a little better vacuuming up the room! One time the hot water cut out after being on just a few minuets, but this only happened once! They charge for a breakfast box $10 save it and go to a cafe instead. There is a commons area, microwave, coffee etc. There is machines to wash your clothes.I called the front desk a few times and they were always happy to help. I would use this hotel again. I kind of wish i booked a few more nights. you can use the 20 limo charge from the airport or take the train from the airport. and get off on central or townhall station.

Our hotel is located in a Heritage building which is protected by the Government, which means big structural changes cannot be done but we are going to refurbish all the rooms very shortly, We are so exited!
