Nice to stay in a hotel which is not always crowded with tourists and has a nice restaurant serving good food for breakfast.

The hotel was comfortable and convenient to activities around Hilo. Nice park to walk in from the hotel. People at the desk were friendly and helpful. Not a fancy hotel but had a feel of old Hawaii. The bedroom and bathroom were small but as we were not spending much of the day there, it was just fine.

Beautiful gardens. Friendly staff. Close to the beach and restraunts.

We landed at Hilo airport late at night, the hotel is just 8mins away. At night, the hotel looks a little bit creepy, and the room door is super light which no need to pull it will be slam already that freak me out a little bit. However, the room is super clean, and very comfy!! The hotel looks so much better during the day. It's very close to 24-7 restaurants, volcano national park is really close by! Save myself a lot of time by staying here:)

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean! Free bike rental. Welcoming

Its a comfortable place to stay at a budget cost. The hotel itself is a bit older and a run down. Its clear the hotel owners and staff have put in the effort to make this hotel into a pleasant experience for guests. The hotel staff was great and the hotel was clean considering. My largest detractor was that the shower in my room was exceptionally short. As a tall fellow I had to shower on my knees which wasn't the most pleasant experience.

We've stayed here twice while in Hilo. If you're looking for a comfortable place to rest your head after a day adventuring this is a great option! It's close enough to walk to downtown Hilo and right by the airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable & staff is very friendly. It has a nice pool but with the ocean right across the street we've never used it. It's not a high class hotel but for a budget friendly stay, this is a wonderful place!

This is a truly "local" hotel where many Hawaiians stay. Has a koi pond with koi and fish from the ocean. Right across the street from the ocean and much more personality than the larger hotels. Has a pool, bar and dining room. I stay there every time I'm in Hilo. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Nice authentic family-owned hotel in Hilo. Close drive to volcano national park and rainbow falls, etc. Open air floor plan like many traditional Hawaiian buildings. On checkin we got a hawaiian coconut treat and great service. Room is standard no frills. There is Fresh fruit available at desk for free and complimentary bike rentals! Attached to nice breakfast cafe.

Nice open air hotel that has A/C in the rooms but I arrived in the midst of heavy rainfall so the room was already cold, there was no way to warm up but layering ourselves. I was also annoyed with the humidity that stayed trapped in the room, the carpet, towels, my clothing, the mattress and pillows always felt damp and got worse as the days went by. Luckily I was there for a short stay. I know it rains a lot in Hilo but there should be a way to warm up the rooms and the carpet should definitely be removed. Other than that staff was super nice, the rest of the hotel looked pretty and very clean, nice pool, always found parking, close to a lovely park.

I've stayed here a few times and never disappointed. Will stay here again. Only minor issue I have is WIFI signal in rooms are weak.

Had a 4th great visit to Hilo and stayed at this hotel each time. Staff is very congenial and helpful. Lagoon setting is very nice. Evening security visible and helpful for parking.

Really enjoy staying here; staff is always polite, friendly, filled with "aloha"; Love the island -style feel; no frills but always a great value

Very nice staff, everyone very friendly. Relaxing atmosphere, Clean rooms Restaurants near by and in hotel

We were gone during the day so it was satisfactory

Aloha, Thank you for your feedback. We do work hard at keeping our aging hotel updated and to that end, are updating our rooms - hopefully with taller showers!
