they wouldnt let us use pool and hot tub even though they had water in them

You don’t have anything besides access to the beach.... noise from construction is loud and last all day long....

Pool was drained without notice. Nothing to do at hotel. No where to eat in hotel except for a highly overpriced breakfast. Resort charge is overpriced because there is nothing there. Expressed our concerns and got nothing from the staff

Wonderful accommodations. Beach was absolutely beautiful. Best I have been to in Hawaii. Will return for any future trip to the Big Island!

Beautiful Beach, nice place but unfortunately was under construction so you get less than what you pay for. Some of the staff was beyond rude.

No one helped us with our bags even though 3 workers were enjoying talking with each other. It was difficult to find the office where I needed to check in because the main lobby was under construction. The food menu was short due to the renovation. Room service took over an hour. The noise from the renovation was horrible. There was nothing to do near the hotel. The gift shop was closed every time I walked by. This was the worst experience I have ever had on any trip business or personal.

Amazing view of a gorgeous beach. Current construction was no issue and didn't bother us at all. Clear water, friendly staff, and resort fee included 2 one-hour rentals of snorkel gear. Nice pool, hot tub, perfectly groomed grounds, and private lanai.

Overall we had a great stay at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. We we're upgraded when when we checked in to a room with an amazing view. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The only down side was the noise from construction and our room had a few ants. The hotel is in need of the facelift it's undergoing. My family and I are looking forward to returning to see the updates.

Not happy with this location and the cockroaches that were in my room. Even after being moved to another room same issue for was present still. Had a hard time getting them to move me to another room. After bringing up the roach issue they sent someone to clean the squashed bug on the wall and made an excuse that it happens al the time. They finally moved us and the new room had baby roaches. Ugh! The beach is amazing at this place but im not happy sleeping with bugs when I expect a higher end resort not to have this issue.

Everything about our stay was a "ten". The beach is beautiful, the pool inviting, the accommodations and staff were terrific.

Wonderful and amazing. Need to have !ore discounts on golf and food. Thanks for everything

The only good thing about this hotel is the beach is nice, however, there are a lot of nice beaches in other resort areas. This hotel is a lot bigger than it looks and the layout is awkward. They put us on the most eastern side of the hotel (furthest from the ocean) on the 7th floor which is one floor down from the lobby (again awkward layout) and definitely no one else was staying in that wing. To get to the garage you had to go up one floor then walk to the back of the resort to take another elevator to the 7th floor to get to the car. Having a car here is important because there isn't much going on at this property. They have an open terrace where they have a breakfast buffet or a breakfast menu you can order from. I ordered from the menu and my hashbrowns were burnt on both sides and raw and mushy in the middle and the avocados on my meal were not ripe and hard as a rock. They also had a cafe by the pool that only served food and drinks if you sat at the tables as there was no service if you were by the pool and the food was terrible!!!! They only had one restaurant for dinner (unless you ate at the pool cafe) but after our experiences with the other restaurants we didn't want to waste our money eating there. Besides we never saw hardly anyone at that restaurant anyway. For the 4 days we were there our room was only attended to once, luckily it was only my husband and I on this trip because that wouldn't have worked if we had the kids too.

Beach front was gorgeous, the grounds were well maintained. Room was lovely, staff was accommodating.

It was a perfect hotel for us. The people were nice. Room service was excellent. The beach was unbelievable. We definitely recommend this hotel and come back probably by next year

We stayed for one night. We arrived around 8:30 to a clutter free lobby. Checked in quickly. Was not able to get the two bed rm I booked. The guy was appreciative of my acceptance. Breakfast staff tried to charge me for the $33/ buffet vs the $22/ cold bfast, but quickly resolved it. Parking, if not valet, is a bit confusing at first.

The hotel is a little outdated. Our room was ok, but had stains on the carpet and the grout in the shower had mold. The beach bar was good and has a wonderful view. It was nice to have a beautiful beach with soft sand,

Great location, friendly staff, and good food. We will be back!

Clean . Some staff very helpful and great. Some less so.

I upgraded to ocean front view in front of turtle bay was perfect looking at light blue water from your bed puts you in a relaxing place ! At the beach bar restaurant service was outstanding! Before I could wipe my face a had new napkins handed to me , if you go to beach bar ask for MJ her service with a smile is warm & welcoming made my trip !!!!!!!

Loved everything about Hapuna. It was everything one could imagine when thinking about a trip to Hawaii. The views are gorgeous and the staff amazing. Our only regret is that we were exploring the Big Island so much that we didn't enjoy and explore the Hapuna property as well. And there is so much to do there! One of the best beaches anywhere! We plan to return as soon as possible.

As safety is our top priority, our team was taking all precautions necessary to ensure that all levels were safe prior to allowing guest access to the pool. The existing pool was recently renovated to add additional features throughout. We do apologize that it was not functional during your stay. We do welcome you back and hope you choose to stay with us again!
