Nice hotel with beautiful views, the farmers market is nearby, very good stay.

One of the beds smelled TERRIBLE! The other was fine. Carpet was gross. The place was dated. Food was expensive. The good stuff? Price was good. Location was good. View of the ocean? My god.... great view. I would compare this to a beachfront motel 6.

The view was great. Parking worked well. The hotel itself had great bones, but could use some updating to be a great hotel once again.

We enjoyed watching activities in the bay and the ever changing sky. Saw a rainbow the first morning. Then the last morning the volcano mountain peek from clearly visible to layers of clouds to covered. Watched the cruise ship come into port. took a walk thru banyan trees. Adequate food within walking distance. Mirian at check in is charming.

Really a great experience, way better than we expected!

Nice location, close to a beach park and a few minutes away to the airport

Very pleasant staff. Great location on the bay and next to gardens and golf course

The hotel was filled with mold due to the high level of humidity in that area of Hawaii. I am allergic to mold. The staff were friendly and helpful, however, I HATE MOLD. I really don't like it. They moved us to a room without mold but there was still mold in the hallway and basement.

Nice, quiet environment. Great walking areas with wonderful views.

We stayed for 2 nights here while on this side of the island. Older hotel, but very comfortable. Big rooms, great views. The only thing is there is one switch in the bathroom area. It controls bothe the light where the shower/toilet are and where the sink/vanity are. We are use to turning lights off so if someone was in the shower and the other was brushing their teeth, we would turn the lught off when finished and leave the other in the dark.

Hotel is very nice, staff is friendly. They kept or room clean and stock with towels..beds are no so comfortable and they don't have microwaves in room but they do have mini fridges

Nothing beat waking up and looking out your window to the sunrise on Mauna Kea and locals fishing in crystal clear waters below. best access to amazing snorkeling and swimming and beautiful Hilo. Just wish they had a fitness club.

!Great location for visiting East side of island! Comfortable, clean, quiet. No microwave - only down side....

I found the registration staff and housekeepers very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is described as renovated , the feeling was outdated and the pillows and mattress seemed very old . No room service and very limited hours on in hotel restaurant and menu selection .

Always a pleasure to stay at the Hilo Hawaiian. Always our first choice.

Nice garden close by. Hilo downtown and airport nearby

Nice place friendly stuff. A very good place to stay in Hilo.

If you can pay the minimal extra to face the water, it is beautiful. There is a small balcony where you can see the water every day.

enjoyed the stay hotel was ck=lean and staff was nice

The bathroom needs updating. There was a an open package of lunchmeat left on the dresser. Looked spoiled and nasty. We only stayed overnight, and it was a good place to get a good night sleep before moving on.
