I like the quaint hotel and its location is perfect in the center of Braintree. The staff was very nice and courteous, breakfast was good. I did not like the bathroom which had a door above the toilet that opened onto an area with pipes, it was ajar and it was not lockable. I did close it but it opened again and again. Felt so uncomfortable I did not want to use the shower. The taps in the shower and sink were difficult to handle. The floors creak and some of the furniture slants, but then again it is a very old property so that is normal.
