We are in our third night of a three night stay at this hotel. Upon checking in we were greeted by a delightful receptionist, Natalie. We could not have received a better welcome. Natalie was so pleasant and cheerful that, despite the rainy weather, we were made to feel extremely welcome. Our room was spacious and if the weather had been better we are sure that we would have enjoyed our view! The breakfasts were above average and the restaurant has a reasonable range of choices. Despite the weather we have had a very enjoyable stay but much of that enjoyment is due to the friendliness, efficiency, willingness to help and politeness of Natalie. We thoroughly recommend this hotel as a base for visiting the Limoges area.
Very comfortable and lovely location and the service was good. Reasonable and friendly staff that helped make the overnight stay a satisfactory experience and the food was excellent with a comprehensive breakfast. Would liked to spend a few nights there to explore Limoges properly.
We stopped here on our trip through France. The hotel is very well situated and the lake it stands near provides an opportunity for a good walk. The staff were very friendly and we found the facilities good. Breakfast was extremely good and dinner perfect for us.
Food was OK, but you will find better in the ity, overpriced for what it was. Drink serve in a dirty glass. It was replaced but no apology. Reception staff absent in the restaurant gossiping when needed, to check out.no bell to summons them. Mature lady on reception very helpful in giving directions to Limoges centre, but when the safe failed we were promised someone would come to fix it in 15 minutes. 90 minutes later and no one showed up. We went to reception to complain and the woman there said she was supposed to come. She eventually opened the safe after we had had our meal, again no apology for keeping us waiting. Room was agood size but cheap fittings, no drinks in minibar. Hairdryer attached to wall in bathroom, so nowhere to sit down to dry you hair, I asked for a chair andit was left in the room instead of the bathroom. Hairdyer faulty it kept falling out of the holder and automatically switched itself on. Communal areas not inviting, large stains on the carpet. Hotel needs upgrading and some of the staff need retraining. Whole hotel poorly managed. We regularly stay in Novotels in England, France and Spain, with no complaints, we normally have a very good experience, but this hotel is not up to the usual brand standard.
I didn't know whether this hotel has three or even four stars as a hotel. But I don't have good experience at this hotel from the beginning when we checked in. Our checking-in time might have been busy time, but there was only one front desk staff who had made two parties of their guest to wait before us. After our last night drive from the French Mediterranean coast from the area near the border with Spain, we needed to have dinner at this hotel. Their service was fast enough to be seated at the nice location of the hotel and get served in good timing, but I had a disgusting experience of my food. Their French fries was with fungus which looked like a natural skin of potato. My mouth became full of this food poison and went to the toilet to rise my mouth and I informed about this to their restaurant staff. She said that she would report it to the kitchen staff, but she or the kitchen staff didn't come back to our table to give us apologies or new French fries. So my husband talked about it another restaurant staff in French ( my husband's mother tongue is french). Then this guy said my husband "it always happens that one piece of French fries is with moss. It is natural". Person me, if it happens this food poisoned for the small children's meal, the child might have stomach problem even though it would not be a serious one. The small child would not recognize this disgusting taste as the food poison in his/her mouth. The restaurant staff didn't propose me the free charge of dessert and or coffee, either. We will talk about my disgusting or "Incoroyable experience de Novotel au Limorge Nord" to the general manager Tomorrow morning. What he or she will answer or how he or she will response is!?
Stayed here twice as a stop-over to/from Spain. Very close to the A20, and near a E.leclerc Hypermarket with a fuel station. Good sized car park. Excellent, helpful reception staff give a warm welcome. Rooms recently decorated and improved, with excellent beds. Some English language TV channels available. Small but good variety of menu choices in the restaurant. 2 course evening meal and breakfast deals, offer excellent value when booking your stay. Always my 1st choice hotel when travelling through this area. Thank you for another fantastic experience. à bientôt
Spent 3 days at this hotel. we planned to do nothing and this was a great place to do it. walking by the lake ( a bit short of water) and sitting on the terrace and reading or having a drink. The food was very good, great breakfast and evening meals were well priced. The small pool was a welcome addition and taking an evening meal on the terrace was fab. I can only agree with the last few reviewers comments about the staff, they were really customer focused and a credit to the hotel with out exception. if the opportunity arises we will return.
lovely modern rooms.staff great.really welcoming and helpful.restaurant -great service and well presented food. wine, beer overpriced . pool small but kids loved and was heated.needs a bit of repair work around poolas concrete joins cracking up and son cut finger on an area-nothing major and receptino had plasters to hand. would def stay here again.
The hotel rooms have undergone a renovation and it very modern and comfortable. This is our third stay here for an overnight stop and would recommend it. The new beds are very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was perfect. Breakfast in the morning caters for all tastes and fills you up for the day. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
We stopped over at the Novotel on our way home to the UK from the south of France. The staff were friendly and warm - they actually seemed to like doing their job! (One person who was dusting outside glass while we were eating was playful and charming.) The hotel is tidy and well maintained. The room and bed excellent. We noticed in another review about the noise of the children in the pool. Our room overlooked the pool (and lake) and I enjoyed hearing the little ones enjoying themselves at tea time. If you don't want to listen to the youngsters, we recommend getting a room facing away from the lake. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast and the food was very nice indeed. We stay in many hotels and highly recommend this one.
