We arrived before check in,but we're made welcome with a drink while we waited for our room. When ready we found we had an upgrade to a beautiful, roomy suite. The reception staff were friendly and attentive, my husband is gluten intolerant and has Parkinson's,grand efforts were made to provide a choice of gluten free items at breakfast, and when we ate dinner in the hotel. The spa is also excellent ,with a heated pool, exercise items plus good treatments. Staff were always friendly, helpful and willing to do their best for all. Thank you for a lovely, restful holiday.

This was our second visit and once again a memorable experience. The first class service, the ambience and the food are exceptional and the location with its wonderful views over Calvi and the citadel are spectacular. We had requested the same room that we had during our last stay but dissapoiintingly it was not available when we arrived

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We were in Junior Suite 47 (we found out we had been upgraded on our arrival which was a pleasant surprise). Overall we thought the hotel was very good. The good things were - the shuttle service to the town and to the beach restaurant. The beach restaurant was great and great to have a sun lounger to use. Also great that the hotel provided beach towels and a beach bag. The staff were welcoming, polite, helpful. The food was fantastic. It was a good location - away from noisy traffic (other than the odd noisy motorbike going up the hill). The spa area was small but sufficient for us. Our room was clean and comfortable.. there were coffee making facilities, but no kettle (we asked for one and they provided one so we were happy!). On the negative side - minor really - I would have preferred a dressing table/desk to put makeup on in the bedroom(I don't like doing it in a bathroom at the basin)... same for drying my hair. There was no mirror in the main bedroom area. The lighting was a little poor - especially by the bed, it was very difficult to read at night. Overall we would stay there again and we would recommend it to friends.

Mélanie is the chef of the breakfast and she prepared every single day amazing and jaw-dropping pastries/ fruits / waffles / and gluten free cookies. The breakfast worth trying it even if you're not staring in the hotel! The landscape and staff are great you're really enjoy it and spend a memorable day.

I shouldn't really be writing this review as I don't want La Villa to get too popular, but here goes. This was our 5th visit and everything was just right from the lovely staff, must mention Cami this time what a hard worker,to the setting, ambiance and the Michelin starred restaurant. It is the setting of this hotel that is so inspiring and uplifting >Just cannot fault this gorgeous hotel and spa and look forward to our return next year.

Great service, fantastic food, amazing view. Very helpfull in changing dishes on the degustation menu due to allergies. definately worth a visit. The terrace is great to watch the sun set with drinks, so should go a bit early.

We recently stayed at La Villa for 3 nights. Our Citadel room was lovely with a great view. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk outside the city uphill. They have transportation that you must pay for to get to and from the city center but that stops at 8pm so if you go to dinner you must find a taxi [which is not easy] to return. The taxi is 25euros one way. Our first night I had to call and request turndown service in this 5 star hotel. We left a wakeup call but the next morning when we did not receive the call we were told that they guess the system wasn't working. No apologies given. We had dinner in their 1 star Michelin restaurant and truly it was our most expensive meal and just OK. If I were to suggest the hotel to anyone I would recommend a car and to eat in the city.

We were staying on room #19, a large suite about 700 ft2 with 2 rooms with or 2 kids. Amazing view on our private terrace. The restaurant is near the pool for the breakfast buffet with all the service from a Palace. hotel transportation is a bargain with only 10€/day to be driven in the center of the old town or the Beach as many trip that you wish. You guys must try the Gnocchi of the Beach Restaurant of the hotel, Ricantu I think it's called. Will definitely come back soon on a lover get away. Much appreciate this place and there employees. A+++

Great hotel, suprisingly busy for low season and a lot of young people there. The restaurant is great, had amazing dinner there. Also nice to see a young female sommelier. The view onto the old town of Calvi is beautiful. The hotel has a spa and indoor/outdoor pool. The rooms are really big and have a beautiful view

We, my wife and daughter, stayed in one of the suites. What can I say except everything was first class. Staff were very welcoming and everything was so clean. Very much a 5 star establishment. We ate out every evening as there is so much choice in the town.
