Had a very relaxing stay at the Hotel Corsica in Calvi. The staff were attentive and helpful from the moment we walked through the door until checkout. Rooms are comfortable, the food in the restaurant is delicious, and the outdoor heated swimming pool is amazing.
We arrived in Calvi after a long trip from Zagreb via Paris and were greeted at the airport by the wonderful service from Hotel Corsica. Our stay was simply excellent. I must comment on the reception staff, especially Justine, who looked after us. There is a regular shuttle into town or the beach and an efficient pickup service. We used these during our four day stay , but we also walked to the beach each day, which takes about 20 minutes. The pool area is also excellent, with ample lounges and shade areas. The gardens are well maintained and overall this hotel is well maintained.Breakfast is buffet style and very extensive and was included in our package. We also had dinner in the outside area near the pool and this was well presented. Our room had ocean views from the balcony , but was a bit small for us, We would certainly return
Reception was exceptionally courteous, friendly and warm. The restaurant was very good with freshly prepared meals to order. The staff all spoke good English. The whole place, both internally and outside were manicured to perfection with the swimming pool glistening.
This is a beautiful, quiet hotel with everything we needed. It is also informal, relaxed and the staff very friendly and helpful at all times. If you have a car, then park for free at the beach and enjoy a casual walk to the port and all the restaurants.
My husband and I have just returned from a week at the Hotel Corsica in Calvi. The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful location approximately 10 minutes drive from Calvi. A courtesy car operates on an hourly basis for those people who don't wish to walk to the port or the beach. The hotel has lovely gardens and an excellent fresh water pool with a temperature of 20C. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi. Breakfast is buffet style. There is a lovely selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts cold meats and cheeses and delicious breads and pastries. The hot options are more limited but boiled eggs are always available and it is possible to order a variety of omelettes and crepes. We had one lunch at the hotel, which was excellent, but no other meals as there are so many restaurants to try in Calvi. One of the main features of the hotel is staff who are, without exception, helpful, polite and friendly.
Excellent hotel with wonderful staff throughout. Strongly recommend here for a nice relaxing break. Although it is slightly (25 min walk) out of the town and away from the beach the hotel provides a free shuttle day and night so it is not a problem. The room we had was clean & modern with great views of the bay.
A group of us arrived to a lovely welcome to this clean and very modern hotel. However there were no other guests except us 15. The staff were very nice and welcoming, the hotel was very clean and modern with a superb pool. The rooms were simple and modern. As it is so far from the centre of town they supply a shuttle bus to the restaurants and bar areas. A good stay and highly recommended
We stumbled across this place by accident. It was amazing. I highly recommend staying here. We had a family room over looking the water. It was massive, clean, great view in short perfect. We got a great deal because it wasn't high season so perfect for us.
Professional staff & establishment ! Strongly recommend the hotel - extremely well run with a high level of commitment from all staff to make your holiday memorable. Excellent standard of cleanliness too.... a rare find.
We stayed here for 2 weeks at first in one of the small rooms which felt cramped and certainly not of a 5 star size and quality. Indeed the housekeeping was not of the highest standard with one day the room only partially serviced which elicited an apology and 2 glasses of champagne from Mr Bottas. We were upgraded for the second week to a larger room which had a settee. For me there were some irritants. Charging €5.5 for a small bottle of Diet Coke selling at €.5 in the supermarket. A premium is expected in a hotel but this is outrageous. The pool looks large but 2/3rds are of insufficient depth for swimming. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and an evening meal was well cooked but maybe 25% more expensive than a good local restaurant. The tea/coffee trays didn't tend to get 'serviced' and the strict instructions not to put anything into the fridge felt unnecessarily officious. If the hotel wanted to get 5 stars from me then 2 free bottles of water a day which are normal in genuine 5* hotels would be a start and a sense that paying a high accommodation charge shouldn't mean that guests are also going to be 'ripped off' as well.
