Kyriad Mulhouse Centre

The hotel is in the city centre, in a great location within walking distance from everything. The staff was really helpful and polite. The rooms may need a little refurbishment, however our room was clean, it had coffee and tea facilities, extra towels, pillows etc. Furthermore, the free sauna and hamam offered a relaxing experience after a busy day.

Having stayed here five years ago, we had really liked it! During our most recent visit we stayed here again! The rooms have gone old, needed renovation... On the plus side it is in the historic center of Mulhouse, just outside the cathedral. In addition, they had some good in-room facilities like bottled water, coffee, tea and take-away cups.

we arrived friday 6th Jan and the reception is staffed 24 hrs a day with english speaking exceptionally polite staff. we were staying central so as to visit friends that were 3 min walk away. we beeoked via a search company and expected a real Budget hotel. HOWEVER we had a twin room and a family room both exceptional and clean. maids visit each morning with breakfast also available in the dining room. all in all will defo stay here next time in mulhouse. ... 3 nights stay was lovely Thankyou

Pratical hotel in pedestrian area of Mulhouse. Great staff on reception, really helpful, room big and spacious. Great value. Bit tricky to find hotel carpark but did give direct access to hotel. And bit tricky finding hotel entrance. Christmas market on the doorstep.

The best thing with this hotel is perhaps the location. But it is quite expensive here. The rooms are quite ordinary and the breakfast nothing special. But there is a wonderful terrace on the third floor. The gym is tiny and the saunas fid not function, so I cannot give more than 3. However, the staff is helpful so you really feel very welcome here.

This hotel is in a great location right by the town square, but our room was really shabby. The walls and ceiling had water stains and peeling drywall, and the carpet was, well, disgusting. Public parking was convenient and reasonable priced.

Wouldn't really recommend Mulhouse as an overnight stop destination. Its a perfectly functional French town but has little in the way of nice bars, restaurants etc and the "old town" is pretty small. Would advise pushing on to Strasbourg or even Freiburg in Germany. But if you do find yourself there, you may be tempted by the Kyriad. Its a fantastic location right on the town square. You can use the municipal car park with direct access to the hotel (just 6 Euro overnight - a bargain) You may be tempted by a low headline rate (£65) but breakfast is extra so for three people this made this nearly a £90 stay. Paying that in France usually gets you a full service hotel with plenty of comfort. Judged on those terms it simply int worth it. Our "Privilege" room was nothing of the sort - small, badly appointed overlooking the roof and tired and shabby. Think IBIS about 10 years ago. Luckily the big window opened as the aircon was non existent (I always am suspicious of AC units that are just a vent in the ceiling above the door) The TV had french only channels which underlines this isnt really a tourist destination. There is a Sauna and Steam room and small gym if you want that sort of thing. Breakfast was poor and not worth the extra charge at all. It wasn't the worst stay ever but feel there are better hotels in better places for the money.

First of all I stayed in Mulhouse by necessity as I lost a train connection. I found this hotel in the city center which looked like good price over money. The room was big, even though the furniture was dated. During the night, I put the blanket over my feet as the AC was on. I felt like something was bothering as my feet were itching all night, but I was to tired to wake up. When I did, I discovered that under the blanket there were like small bugs that were the reason I didn't slept well. And small dots of blood, as when you kill a mosquito. I don't know if it was my blood the bugs took but I was so horrified I just jumped out, washed and leaved. Unfortunately, I had a train to catch so I didn't do an official complaint but stay away! The guy at the reception was nice, he offered me breakfast but I was in a hurry and anyway that would not have changed my night.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. They upgraded me to a family room and I was travelling alone. Beautiful experience. Even with my little French, the front office staff were absolutely great communicating in English and German. Very helpful staff. Great location in the centre of Mulhouse.

That was the worst hotel experience in my life and I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends! If our room hadn't been prepaid we would leave the hotel immediately. Reception staff (Audry(tall lady with blond hairs ) is completely unprofessional and rude! We arrive in the hotel with our 7 month old baby. The reception lady told us that we have to pay for to the suite because she can not accommodate 3 person in a standard room due to a "French law"...It was a big shock for us because 1)we've already stayed in few hotels in France and nowhere we were asked to pay for our 7 month old baby(especially considering that she was sleeping with us in a bed and we didn't request for any baby bed or extra bed) 2)even on the webside where we have made a booking ,child below 2 y.o was not considered as a person to pay for When I asked this lady to show me the law,she was pretending to search for it in the Internet and the came up with "actually it's not a law,it's our fire security obligations ,so we know how many people are in the room".which was again not professional ,being a hotelier for 10 years myself and my husband 20 years,we know that computer system that hotels have allow to put amount of people in the program, including even baby ages,so in case of emergency, special report has to be printed that will show the amount of persons in each room. On the top of that that employee was extremely rude, shouting at me and being very aggressive.I think hotel has to provide front office team with such trainings as "complain handling " and how they should treat their guests. The room was very dirty ,mold in the ventilation ,protection glass in the bathroom was not properly done,so all water was on the floor after we took a shower,AC was not working properly ,smell of old carpet in the room and corridors , damaged walls and wholes in curtains. We could "close our eyes " for the imperfections of the room, based on the star rate of the hotel , but service really spoiled everything .It's a shame for Golden Tulip to whom chain belongs to ,to have such employees representing the brand.
