Hard mattresses, non-closing bathroom doors, bathtub drain that doesn't stop to run a bath, noise insulation is minimal. Not the best choice, but at least the receptionist was competent and courteous.

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. A good value for your money and close to the interstate and restaurants .

I really just needed a cheap place to crash while working in areaand was pleasantly surprised by cleanliness and service.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and clean. The decor was a little dated but the amenities were excellent; refrigerator, microwave, safe, all of which were missing from a high end hotel I used over the summer. I couldn't stay connected to the Wi-Fi but the cable was great. I skipped out on the breakfast but that we a nice extra to have. Overall, exceeded my expectations for the price I paid.

Good overall exeprience. In a quite neighborhood. Friendly staff. Room was clean, smelled nice & had a updated contemporary design with tv/fridge/microwave/desk/table. Great place for the price.

We stayed in a recently remodeled room that was nice. Staff very friendly too.

I've stayed at the hotel several times and always a positive experience. Quiet, well located, clean.

The stay was comfy and there a plenty of restaurants near to this location. My only issue was that even though I was going to check out 12 hours early, I had to pay a full day price to check in early. I wish they considered my case a bit or given me a discounted rate. That's the problem with all hotels though as they have the 12 Noon checkout and not the 24 hrs stay checkout.

Good for the money

This was truly the worst hotel stay I've ever had!The room was semi clean on the 1st day and progressively dirtier, every day after that, to where by the 5th day it was gross. New towels were brought, but I opened up a washcloth on Wed. 10/27 and there was a bloodclot in it, I thought I was going to vomit and threw it on the floor. There were also fleas in the bed, I woke up at several points itching and found a little black spot at one point which gave it away; all this made me question if the sheets were being changed on a regular basis. Outsite of the "cleanliness" issue, the rest of the stay wasn't great either. There weren't enough electrical outlets, so I have to unplug lamps and sit in the dark to work on the computer. While the TV advertized all these cable channels, there were only 4 channels which actually worked and rendered more than just "static - white noise". Hot water only lasted about 10 min. in the morning, so my showers before work had to be quick. And there was absolutely NO customer service of any kind. the very small lobby area never had anyone at the counter, EVER. On my last day, yesterday, Fri. 10/29/10, I went to check out at 8:30 am. I rang and rang the bell at the front desk and no one came. I took a business card and called the GM on two #'s and no one answered. I finally had to walk to the back and start calling for help. A woman who didn't speak any english came out and I had to say "check out" several times before it registered with her what I was talking about. She took my key and said I was paid up at 9:30, an HOUR after I got there to check out. I was late to work as a result. I'm not in the habbit of rating things badly, or of causing any trouble, so please don't think of me as one of those "difficult" people. I don't have a lot of money to stay at 5 star hotels and I know what I'm sacrificing when I go to the cheaper places, but this experience truly reflected a distgusting quality, even for the roadside motels. I've stayed at "Express" places before, like La Quinta's, Holiday Inn's, etc, that were in the same class and were nothing like this Horrible Howard Johnson in Rocky Hill CT. Those places, while modest, were clean and the amenities worked. Overall, If I would've had a choice and could afford to change hotels, I would have been out of there after the 2nd day, but they had already charged my card and I couldn't afford to stay anywhere else. Thanks for listening,

found 1 roach in the room, the fridge didnt work they offered me a cooler with ice until the put the new one in. we didnt even know they put one in until check out time the following day. the staff was very nice but the hotel just needs to be updated.

The internet access was good. They had to reset their router just once while I was their. Very close to I-91 and local restaurants

Clean room for low price.

The people were nice but you can tell this place just gets by. For example the non-working bathroom fan caused a build up of mold so bad that no amount of spray could mask it. Had I been alergic it would have been a crisis. I told the front desk about it, they offered to move us but I just said to please fix the fan. Fixed the fan but it badly needed replacement. It roared. The best way to handle the smell upon returning was to open the window and the door for a while, it was 48 degrees. A window a/c unit is above the vanity sink so the mirror top is at mid chest, no way to shave. The walkway on the second floor, it's a garden style building, has two almost invisisble steps four inches high. Very dangerous because they had been painted grey like the decking.

when we arrived the room was 2 hot the pillows were not the greatest the room was 2 hot there was only enough towels for 1 person we were there for a furneral the manager was awsome in fixing out problems the location was great only 20 mins from where we had 2 go the breakfest could have been better n they should have enough supply of coffee n sugar n cream for the room if it suppose 2 be included we had made a trip 2 months before that 4 a nother funeral n the super 8 was so much better then howard johnsons

thiswas abusinesstrip.twascleanandeconomical

we were in the area for the connecticut convention center event and the location was ideal and the fare was fair.

offered many things not found in other hotels for that price refig microwave iron hairdryer

This hotel met our needs very well as we were visiting family that lives just down the street. When we told our daughter at breakfast that we had better get going so that we could check out on time the attendant told us not to worry about it. If anyone expects to eat all their meals here, this will not work.
