Does Wyndham even visit properties bearing their name? We stayed one night, traveling through Connecticut. There were fresh stains on the carpet, several holes in the wall, a musky odor in room (several air fresheners were plugged into outlets, so obviously there was some kind of problem) and thin towels that must have come from the dollar store. The outside side entrance was unlocked so anyone could enter. And, no fresh coffee was offered in the morning (desk staff said they were ‘remodeling’…huh?) This is the 3rd disgusting Wyndham property we stayed in this summer (the others were in the Midwest, under the name of Baymont) so we won’t be staying in any others in the future. Truly awful.
The view was very pretty. The man at the front desk who checked me in and out was nice.
Where to start. The first room we got had a used feminine product in it and horribly stained sheets. The second room we had to fight a cockroach to use the bed. There is water stains and damages all over the building. Would not recommend to anyone
Place is extremely old took a trip back to the 70’s staying there. Sheets look old place in dying need of renovation. Staff pleasant Continental breakfast was good
Customer service and rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and ice machine worked fine. Can’t forget the full workout gym
The fact that when I walked in someone had their bare feet pond the dining table that should have been assigned to walk out right then and there but I gave it a chance because it was non refundable so I asked about renting a movie which in my attenuation I could rent a movie for additional cost I have children dried like to rent a movie I would on the 2nd floor they had 0 screens in the windows and I have 2 little wonder if petrified to sleep
The room was clean enough, but pulling back the curtain in the morning discovered an apple-sized hole right through in the wall, right through the drywall.
Hotel is a little run down but overall it was ok. Not too attractive, carpeting and older furniture needs upgrade.
smell like weed beds were dirty and disgusting the open the window to try to get rid of the smell
Room smelled like mothballs (prob for a reason) bed uncomfortable. Carpet was wet in front of bathroom. Back door was not locked.
The place wasn't that bad but it just really could use a good cleaning. The walls were greasy and it looked like there was mold on the ceiling.
The place was nice and pretty close to things to do. My only issue is we paid for TWO NIGHTS there, didn’t eat breakfast or use the pool or any amenities either day as we were in town for a tournament so we had to be there early and ended up there late each day. Along with that guy not being friendly by any means at the front desk, On check out day, we asked if we could sit by the pool for a little bit before departure and the guy at the desk told us “it was for guests only”. Apparently paying for a 2 night/ 3 day stay doesn’t justify for you to sit by their pool (where NO ONE ELSE was any of the days) on the 3rd day of your stay once you give the key. I have NEVER had that at ANY other hotel. We ALWAYS check out but still hang around a while until we head home. When people pay for 2 nights and 3 days - their 3rd day should also allow access if they want to hang around a little longer rather than run out and leave at 11am.
Stayed for visiting Weslyean Univeristy. Cheaper than the other hotels listed on their website. Very basic. No frills. Don't eat the breakfast food.
Nice hotel close to my baby sister wedding..was only 14 minutes away 😀
Definitely got what I paid for. Nothing too spectacular. One part of the carpet in hotel was sticky, probably never regularly cleaned or ever shampooed. Bed was comfortable, however some minor questionable stains in sheets.
Looks like some rooms have been renovated but not the one we stayed in. Dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper, dim lights, curtains falling. Needs a total renovation.
