The overall place is what you'd expect. Older but decently kept. However, we woke up at 2 am with the bed infested with bed bugs. I personally was bit dozens of times and my forehead, ears, hands, and back have welts. We left the hotel immediately. The night staff was pleasant but could do little for us. He mentioned that bed bugs CAN happen. REALLY? They should never happen. We have not heard back from the hotel management.

Room was below average. Needed a good clean throughout. The breakfast shoul dhave been until 10 and the lady that was working it seemed very stressed and because of that a bit short with patrons.. 2nd night we were not left a bath mat or any refull of shampoo and condisioners, etc. Seems like they are too short staffed.

Staff was discriminating toward us for any requests for towels pool towels iron stuff that is supposed to b in the room anyway chair was broke sandy was not helpful very rude & swiped my card 3x no refund came back & I had already paid thru orbitz so never again

Very good for the price. Fast internet compare to other hotels. Nice pool.

Needs to be remodeled. Ice machine on third floor was out of order. It was clean but very outdated.

The room had not been vacuumed. The ashtray was dirty and pillows lumpy. One pillow case was so thin and wrinkled it should have been thrown out. AM desk clerk was rude and unpleasant.

Not bad we stayed in 3 different motels in 3 states. Provided somewhere to sleep and morning breakfast and everyone very friendly!

Very dirty hotel. Staff is no help at all. Would never stay here again.

The hotel definitely met our expectations. We were visiting our child at college and needed a place to stay last minute.

The hotel advertises their rooms as non-smoking but from the instant you stepped into the room you could smell the cigarette odor embedded in everything. The cleanliness of the room with candy wrappers etc from prior guests under the bed and behind furniture, lamp shades bent and ripped and a bathroom with ripped wall board that needed to be plastered and painted. The best was the telephone which was neither plugged in or connected to a phone jack. A sure way to stop anyone from bothering the front desk!

Rooms were smelly, very dirty and outdated. I changed rooms 3 times due to the room door would not lock, then the other room door would not open--the elevator quite several times and I had to haul luggage up 4 flights of stairs. The staff were more than helpful and apologetic, but the hotel was not a place I will staying again. From what I gathered the Manager is not willing to spend the extra money to fix the issues. I will be in area for the next 3 months for business and will be using another hotel. My advice is to spend a little extra money for a better stay.

Hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The Hotel was also located near everything I was working on.

Sayed over 1 night visiting JMU and the hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. Stayed on the 4th floor which appeared to be recently remodeled.

You can beat ho close this is to JMU. Very nice breakfast and helpful staff. Will stay again.

This hotel was always convenient and nice when we were having visitors to JMU. When I returned and stayed here as an alumni I was completely disappointed. The room that we were given smelled so much like cigarettes I was afraid to keep my clothes in it, when we asked the front desk they offered us air freshener.... I will say that those visiting JMU it is so close to campus which is a plus. I have been in rooms that were not at the back of the hotel on the bottom level that were nicer.. but I have to say our room was terrible and I could not wait to check out. If it hadn't have been a busy weekend I would have went somewhere else immediately.

Ok, breakfast weak, pool ok. Good location, easy access to highway and shops and JMU

Good value, breakfast met expectations, location close to highway

This hotel was in a great location for what I needed.

Convenient to JMU, and perfect for a quick overnight before taking my student home for a vacation. Nothing fancy, but very clean -- which is most important to me.

Our family has great experience, clean room and helpful staff.
