We visited while at a conference. Cannot say enough about the place. I felt like I was in a mansion that I paid to tour- but in this place I could sit on the furniture. The breakfast was great and the owner and staff could not have been more friendly. The sleigh bed in my room was beautiful and comfy. I woke up to a great view of the river. Can’t wait to visit again.
I was looking for a place to stay but everything was sold out or way over priced due to the RV show. This placed popped up as a recommendation. My husband and I aren’t big BNB people but it looked beautiful so I booked it. I cannot day enough about the place. They are very accommodating. We came in late but they texted us arrangements for coming in. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Monika was great! Now for the house. It is so beautiful. The decor is perfect. The grounds are gorgeous. The room had everything. We had such a great time. I would highly recommend.
What a wonderful stay! From being met by name in the car park to staying in a fabulous room. Great breakfast and wonderful view of the river. Only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. A truly wonderful place to stay and worth every penny/cent.
We visited The Manor On Front in Harrisburg, PA for an overnight getaway in honor of my husband's 50th birthday. A stunning 1928 ledgestone mansion which overlooks the Susquehanna River. The entire home is immaculate. Perfectly appointed. Open, airy, sunlit yet intimate and exuding warmth. Ana, our Innkeeper was the personification of hospitality ... even greeting us on the walkway as we arrived. Our room was brightened by a special birthday bouquet of fresh flowers hand-picked from The Manor's garden. The view of the Susquehanna River from our room, The Hull Suite ... magnificent! Additionally, a gorgeous view of the Manor's courtyard gardens and sweeping trees. We fell asleep looking at the glow of lights upon the river. We woke up to the sight of an eagle flying across the river. We enjoyed a morning walk in the sunshine by the river as well as a walk among the wildflowers, butterflies and roses in the Manor's gardens. We ended our stay with a delicious, homemade breakfast in the formal yet cozy dining room which overlooks the river and grounds. Our morning host, Monica, was beyond gracious. Breakfast included three types of quiche, fresh, pristine fruit (blackberries, kiwi, etc.), herb-roasted potatoes, grapefruit juice, toast and jams galore. We had a vegetarian option available to us - so appreciated! We had the pleasure of dining with owners of The Manor who shared their wonderful stories of the Manor. The details are executed at The Manor. In a meaningful "manner" that exceeds expectations. Ample, safe parking. A dreamy courtyard and grounds filled with roses, wildflowers and several comfortable seating areas. The Hull Suite provides grand comfort. Immaculately clean. Two closets. Room thermostat which cooled our room perfectly on a hot, summer day. A wonderfully over-sized yet cozy bed filled with big, fluffy pillows and fresh, impeccable bed linens. Cozy sitting chairs flank the bed and make coffee by the window a treat! The bathroom is a work of art. Renovated to remain true to the home's history and architecture. Big, fresh and crisp towels in plentiful amounts including a sweet little face towel! Orange blossom scented soap. Ana and Monica welcomed us as if guests in their in own home. They are the heart of The Manor, for certain. Truly a joy-filled, excellent experience. Thank you!
Our family had a wonderful experience staying here for 1 night. The inn is beautifully restored, and the innkeepers were so kind and attentive to our needs. The rooms are so quiet and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning in the beautiful dining room was amazing! They have several rooms that are decorated with antiques and are perfect for reading or conversation. They also have beautiful pictures for sale by local artists throughout the house.
A big project with perfect results. Old architecture and new amenities - perfect combination . Interior furnishings look like they’ve always been here. Comfort level a lot better than those old days Best breakfast of our 3 week trip. View of the river included:)
Newly renovated past 3 years. Two amazing mansions, one open so far for guests. What a renovation and decorating feat! Welcoming staff and ambitious warm owners who we met at breakfast. Room well equipped, great sheets, lighting ... Keurig coffee, teas and snacks available in several locations and very good breakfast . Restaurants a mile away but easy parking on the street. Good restaurants, worth driving to! Plenty of outdoor activities nearby if not in a rush.
We've stayed in BnB's for decades. This ranks as one of the best: superb setting, gorgeous rooms and house, excellent service, great access to things-to-do & free parking. Breakfast was good, not excellent, but wow, they practically take your order, serve gluten-free w/o a second thought, and Monica, your Transylvanian hostess, is delightful, as was Innkeeper Carol. Manor is quiet, too, despite proximity to Front Street. Great place. Thanks for noting if this helped; I hope so.
A beautiful property that has been exceptionally restored. Perfect down pillows...great mattresses and wonderful period beds. Beautiful bathrooms, sitting areas, views. Lovely breakfast with experienced, professional and personable hosts. Very quiet for a spacious mansion. Easy parking on site. A terrific value compared to other 5 star properties in the area. This all comes with a wonderful backstory on preserving one of Harrisburg's finest properties. Enjoy it!!
We truly enjoyed our night at the Manor. It is well located near I81, our room had a beautiful view of the setting sun over the river. While it is a bit of a walk to the restaurant area their is a pedestrian path by the river that makes the walk pleasant. Mike is a great host, wonderful breakfast with interesting conversation with other guests. Room was large with beautiful historically furniture. Internet speeds were very good at about 30mps.
