We stayed for one night. Very cozy hotel, best location. Room is a little bit small but sufficient. They charge for breakfast so we decided to skip it.
Great and friendly staff. Clean room and great amenities.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and warm. The restrooms and showers were a bit small. The front desk offered no maps of the city and were overwhelmed with checking in and out customers. We asked for them to call a taxi, but offered us a price four times what an actual taxi ride costs.
Good location, good value, nice room. Recommended.
There are no amenities, but a tour company hangs out in the lobby of the hotel, so if you want to book a tour, you don't have to go very far. Some of the tours need to have 4 or more people in order to book with the company. Note that if your tour bus gets into an accident like mine did, you will need to find a taxi on your own in the freezing cold of February! Also note that taxi drivers in the area rarely speak any English, so be prepared! The location of the hotel is great! Walking distance to the Church of Sophia, the Zhaolin Park, and some malls/markets in the area. There is also a supermarket in the building basement nearby. The cleanliness of the room is not quite up to American standards, but it's clean enough. There is mold in some rooms under the windows and in the bathroom. You may find dust bunnies here and there. The sheets may have stains on them. If you can get past all of those things, it's a room with a bed, a shower, and a western style toilet. The room comfort is not ideal, but you take what you can get for the cost of the hotel room. The room was small and the bed was a bit hard. The most of the staff was friendly enough. Some of the staff are a bit snobbish and don't look you in the face. There is usually at least one English speaking staff member on hand to answer questions. The housekeeping staff is very friendly, but don't speak English. Whenever asking for items, we received them within a few minutes. The value of the hotel cannot be beat. It is a great location with adequate sleeping and showering conditions. Save money on the hotel, so you can enjoy the costs of the entertainment in the area. Note: if catching taxis, make sure you have the hotel information written in Chinese. Many of the taxi drivers do not know this hotel and do not speak English. I would recommend this hotel to a friend that wants to save money.
