We have styed at Thaison Palace Hotel for 3 times and this is a very good hotel in condition, clean room and great location. The staff 's friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice decors plus good breakfast too.
Our family of four stayed here for three nights before heading to Halong Bay, then another night upon our return to Hanoi. Ms Moon gave us EXCEPTIONAL customer service - the best we have had throughout our last four months of travelling throughout SE Asia! Any issues we had, she swiftly resolved. We would stay here again based soley on Ms Moon's friendly attentive service! Great value for money, clean, spacious accommodation with delicious breakfast! Walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake; various water puppetry shows, lots of cafe's and restaurants. It's a lovely little boutique hotel that will go above and beyond to see you get the most out of your stay! (FYI We had two double beds in our room)
Hotel staff was very helpful to us on our vacation and reserved a puppet show and provided us with many recommendations. Great value and great location. Moon moon really went above and beyond! Thanks!
Because I read so many positive reviews about this hotel I was prepared to really enjoy my stay here, however I found this hotel to be extremely disappointing (to the point of wanting to leave as soon as possible) here are the reasons why: 1. The free breakfast was only some fruit and toast, anything more extensive cost you money. 2. We booked two beds but were given a room with one. 3. There is a gap in the hotel room door so you can see light from the hallway and hear things. 4. There were small bugs in my tea at breakfast. 5. There was an enormous, unidentifiable bug living in the bathroom. 6. Street noise is very loud, if we weren't exhausted we wouldn't have been able to sleep. 7. The shower door was missing.
The rooms here are lovely; the staff is accommodating and friendly; the location is remarkable. It's not quite in the Old Square where all the chaos is, I believe; but rather, a few small steps away. I found that preferable. I've spent several nights in a row at this hotel and will be there for a couple more yet, and would love to be able to stay yet longer.
great hotel, staff very helpful and easy going, rooms very nice and rates are the local standard, you will not find a better hotel for location, price room, and no 1, the helpful staff, they make you feel like part of the family from the cleaner to the cook to the reception, nothing is a problem.
The experience we had with Thaison hotel was, by far, the worst we had in our 3 week trip in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. We had made the reservation directly on their website and despite us sending 3 mails to confirm the reservation, we did not receive any answer. Upon our arrival in Vietnam, we called the hotel to confirm our reservation and we were told everything was in order and they were waiting for us. Even more, we gave them the telephone no to contact us in case of any problems. When we finally arrived in Hanoi, without any prior warning, we were left by the taxi driver at another hotel which had conditions far below what we had booked in Thaison. We were just told that there was a problem with our rooms (we had 3) and that we needed to stay here and that there were no other solution. The next day we were moved to Thaison. On a positive side, the rooms with window were nice and big and the hotel is quite central. Regarding breakfast, although we were announced it started at 7.00 a.m, by 7.30 the coffee was still not brought and the food was scarce. To conclude, in Thaison hotel, you will lack basic customer and services, no respect for the customers and bad breakfast. As an advice, always be prepared for something bad to happen with no prior notice……
There was no hot water, in fact there was no water at all. The staff were minimally helpful. I was instructed to go to another room to shower but to vacate it as quickly as possible because someone else was coming in. When we asked for a partial refund we were denied it.
We booked 2 rooms at the hotel for our 1st night in Hanoi. On reaching there, we found that Ms Moon at the Reception was extremely helpful. Our rooms were upgraded at no extra cost. We were really impressed with the size of the room and its location overseeing the city. Ms Moon even booked our trip to Halong Bay. The experience on the boat was amazing. In my opinion, the tour was the best by any standards. Due to such an exceptional service from Ms Moon, we decided to extend our stay at the hotel by another 4 nights. The hotel is very well located and the rooms are well appointed. Mr Hin at the reception was always ready to help. We will return again and more than happy to recommend Thaison Palace to anyone visiting Hanoi.
We booked this hotel after taking the recommendation from Mr. Kenny Lee and this was a great hotel comparing with prices and location. Could not beat them when comparing with other hotels nearby such as Capela Hotel, Focus Hotel or Gia Bao Hotel. Location 's could not be better, good breakfast, clean and spacious room with window and city views. Stayed there for 2 nights before and after Halong Bay trip and found this hotel lovely service with so friendly staff. Highly recommend Thaison Palace Hotel.
