We booked the Loccumer as it was reviewed in the Independent Newspaper. Its main draw is the fact it is a 2 minutes walk away from the main railway station - so it very conveniently located and is about a 10 minutes walk away from the old town Staff were very friendly and helpful Rooms were large - modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and despite being on the main road were not noisy Breakfast : nice selection of hot and cold food We also ate in the restaurant on the first night - we both choose vegetarian burgers which were very nice. You also get a free drink when you first arrive. The restaurant was a little quiet and maybe lacked a bit of atmosphere - but that may have been the fact we went off season and also at the weekend and Hanover tends to be a business place rather than tourist so dies a little at the weekend. However you can't fault the food and the restaurant staff Overall a nice stay in a good hotel which I would recommend
The hotel is close to the main train station, making it very convenient for a stopover in Hannover. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great! The rooms are nice, although felt a little cold with no carpets. Bathrooms were large and comfortable.
This hotel is clean, and has a great location for walking about the city and getting to the train station. There are plenty of places to shop very close by, and even though it is on a main street, it is very quiet at night. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the bed was huge! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is great! I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
I stayed here one night for a business meeting. Very friendly staff, reasonably low priced and modestly furnished small room with a dummy minibar and with a worned out akward bathroom. The restaurant has good menu, I tried burger and thai style soup. The breakfast was ok, although I found the hot meal variety quite disappointing. The real value of this hotel is its location. It is close to the main railway station and is next to the old city centre. Meeting rooms are mainly without windows. Overall the facilities could be improved.
Good Clean Hotel near the Hoftbahnhoff, main entrance, walking distance to two great Steak houses. strange to note that the hotel does not provide even a single English newspaper, just like most German Hotels. Nice big, airy Restaurant. Very courteous staff.
We had three nights here in early December to visit the various Christmas markets in Hannover. Its a nice hotel in a great location. Close to the city shopping areas, the station and transport hubs. The room was large and very well appointed and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. Very enjoyable stay
Spent 2 nights in one of the 'theme' rooms. Quite a large room, especially by European standards, with a large bathroom too (tho only had a shower, not a bath, although I'm sure they'd have been room). A very short walk from the station and a few minutes from the old town, it would be hard to find a much better location. The room, which was out the back so had no view, was very quiet and the bed was comfortable too. No tea or kettle but there was a coffee machine, with 2 refills - additional ones are chargeable. A mini bar too. Pretty good spread for breakfast, limited hot choice plus the usual cereal, meat and cheese, fruit, etc. Nice atmosphere in there too. The bar was shut on Sunday which was a bit surprising although not untypical for the area. My only gripe was with the Wi-Fi, it worked fine (and free!), but I had to log on each time I used it.
Really happy in this cute boutique hotel. Excellent location just a 10 min walk from railway station in a nice part of cbd. Feels safe. Hotel is clean, warm and has personality. Staff are very helpful and welcoming and speak great English - very thankful for that. Havent had breakfast in as we meet up with others each morning elsewhere. Was dubious about the pet friendly label but our room doesnt smell 'doggy' - again pleased about that. Nice big single beds pushed together. Doesnt phase me. Prefer it to being squashed up in a double or queen. And the room actually has more space than what photo shows. Good choice of hotel to come to.
We arrived in Hannover quite late on a cold and rainy Friday night in November. Thankfully, the hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the main train station and is super easy to find. Check in was very quick and the staff were friendly. The room was a good size, clean and brightly decorated and the bed is a good size. We received a free welcome drink which was a nice touch after travelling. Aesthetically everything is perfect but my partner suffers from quite a bad neck and unfortunately the pillows, whilst large, are just too fluffy and are like sinking into air! Even doubling up makes you feel like you are drowning inside a cloud. There is also no heating in the rooms so it gets quite cold. Take big socks and a hoodie! If we were to stay again I would not bother booking breakfast. There is a small selection of hot food but it looks like it has been sat around for a long time and they did not refresh the items whilst we were down there (so in about 30 minutes). There are cheaper places around where you can grab a good breakfast. We travel quite a lot and have stayed in many hotels and I don't really understand how this is a 4 star hotel. Should it have been a 3 star I would have given it 4/5 as it is a nice little place in a perfect location but it has many flaws which prevent it from being a 4 star in my opinion.
This is the third time that I am staying at this hotel within the past 2 years.....always the same efficient service and comfort. The breakfast is adequate and excellent... and most of the staff has pretty much remained there since the first time I met them, which is extremely rare in the hospitality industry. They have added some good environment-friendly features since the last time which has made the experience even better.... Can't wait to go back there again... !!!
