The bedroom is quite small for the average. It is not ideal if you need to open your computer and send some Emails. On the other hand it is very clean and comfortable. The staff is sympathetic and everything went as planned. The breakfast is pretty good.
This hotel is good value for money. Well appointed room with a comfortable bed to relax after a long day driving. The hotel was over going renovations but with a minimum of disruption. The staff were friendly and full of advice on the local town. The breakfast was first class and bar also. The only down fall was that you had to park off site and carry your bag to and from car park. I would highly rate the service and well appointed rooms
Perfect hotel for a short trip to Hannover and the surrounding area. A 5 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station with connections all around Germany) and a stonesthrow from the heart of Hannover City Centre and the cultural quarter. Outstanding room with plenty of space for myself and my grandmother to spread out and not feel cramped. A big desk, table, open wardrobe space and two delightful beds with ultra-comfy duvets and mattresses! An unexpected balcony area looking out to urban Hannover was also nice to have as was a well-functioning radiator to keep the room warm at this cold time of year. The bathroom was clean and perfect for us, with a nice warm and powerful shower - always a bonus! The staff at the reception desk were very welcoming and helpful, always smiling and attending to our every need. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant exceeded all expectations and provided a refreshing start to each day we spent in Hannover, with a full cooked breakfast on offer and all included in our room rate. Nice modern hotel that is well kept and very clean in a perfect location, myself and my grandmother look forward to staying here once again on our next visit to Hannover, whenever that may be.
Good size room. Shower room size good but shower unit relatively small so may not be best for the larger person. Clean. Pleasant decor in room, lobby and bar areas. Landings looked somewhat dated. Water feature and low background music in reception and bar areas helped create a tranquil atmosphere. Reception staff were professional: smartly-dressed, efficient, courteous and flexible. A free 'welcome drink' was on offer (one modest-sized drink from specified list to be taken during stay). Breakfast choices were largely cold table, buffet-style, with a few hot items. Price, at 13 euros, was more than at other hotels we used. On the one occasion when breakfast taken, there seemed to be a minimal staff presence in the serving area but there were also few customers. Bar/restaurant area closed after breakfast on Sunday when we visited. Location is near rail station and gives easy walking access to city's places of interest.
We arrived for a business stopover night and after seeing the Photo's of the rooms I have to say I was a little apprehensive about our overnight stay and it's not your usual business hotel room/hotel! But we were pleasantly surprised the rooms were very spacious and down in the bar the staff were extremely friendly and helpful ..... we ordered bar snacks which turned out to be a rather large cheese burger which was delicious as was the breakfast the next day! Hotel was a very central location.
Recently in the city for a trade show and was booked into this hotel. Easy to find, nice welcome and pleasant reception, restaurant and bar areas. I had room 416, it is very small, bed and shower not really big enough unless you are small. It was however quiet. Breakfast choice and quality good, bar service good, didn't have an evening meal here. If I was to use this hotel again I would request a double room.
The Loccumer Hof is very well located near the main railway station and offers a decent standard business standard accommodation, along with bizarrely themed suites. The staff are very helpful and friendly and all speak English. Breakfast is standard continental fayre with a couple of hot items too. Bit pricey at 13 euros. My single room was on the small side, and in need of some comfortable chairs, not the pouffes provided. The rooms are very clean, but the wifi is so slow! So slow, it hardly provides any bandwidth for streaming anything. The restaurant was ok, but you will need to find somewhere else after breakfast on a Sunday as, bizarrely, it closes for the rest of the day. As there are no kettle or coffee facilities in standard rooms (standard practice for Germany apparently), this can mean tracking down a hot beverage on a Sunday - when ordinarily busy Hannover goes very quiet. Not impossible but you have to hunt it down. All in all, very comfortable and recommended, but a couple of moans.
I have decided to stay in the Hotel Loccumer Hof for one night during a visit of Hannover. First of all the location is pretty good, close to the central station and at least currently with a large construction site in front of the hotel there is no traffic around the hotel and it is really quiet. It was in general easy to find just a little bit hidden by the construction site in front of it ;-). The check-in was quick and friendly I even received a voucher for a free drink at the bar. They also informed me as already stated below that the elevator is currently not working as it is renewed. The public areas downstairs are really nice (already renovated) and look pretty stylish. The rooms (at least mine) haven't been renovated yet and look a little bit like in the 80ies or something like that. The room is clean but relatively tiny (single bed room, with a small bed). Everything is clean and as you would expect it in a 4 Star Hotel. The curtain is not totally darkening the room so if you sensitive to that keep it in mind and the bed is relatively small - I prefer larger ones :-). The breakfast was fair, buffet style, nothing special but also not too expensive. The only real disadvantage was that the WiFi was too slow to work, so I used my phone instead for the connection. They also offer a faster connection (which need to be paid) which I didn't try but for a business traveler that might be a no-go. I am not sure if I would stay there again or trying another hotel out of curiosity but for a short city trip I can still recommend it.
Booked here as part of a package deal on Opodo. Got a good deal for 3 nights and flights. It's literally just around the corner from the main train station (Hannover hbf), and it well placed to get to other parts of the city, local U stations within a short walk. It's a very clean hotel, very stylish, with immensely helpful staff. I speak very little German, and all the staff were happy to accommodate me. The room we had was a decent size, about the same as you'd expect from a Travelodge in the UK, but more stylish. The room was very warm in the evenings as it got a lot of sun, and the only way to cool it down was to open the doors onto the balcony. This did let cool air in, but also let the noise in from a few loud locals. If you want to have breakfast here, I'd recommend making sure it's part of your deal, as it's €13 per person per day, which can add up. Breakfast is of a good quality, check with staff for what times it's available. We got a free welcome drink each (using a voucher) which was a nice touch. The restaurant (Kurt16) has some excellent choices, and the bar also has some great cocktails. Great for relaxing after a day out and about.
We booked the Loccumer as it was reviewed in the Independent Newspaper. Its main draw is the fact it is a 2 minutes walk away from the main railway station - so it very conveniently located and is about a 10 minutes walk away from the old town Staff were very friendly and helpful Rooms were large - modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and despite being on the main road were not noisy Breakfast : nice selection of hot and cold food We also ate in the restaurant on the first night - we both choose vegetarian burgers which were very nice. You also get a free drink when you first arrive. The restaurant was a little quiet and maybe lacked a bit of atmosphere - but that may have been the fact we went off season and also at the weekend and Hanover tends to be a business place rather than tourist so dies a little at the weekend. However you can't fault the food and the restaurant staff Overall a nice stay in a good hotel which I would recommend
