Hotel Loccumer Hof4.0 out of 5.0

Recently in the city for a trade show and was booked into this hotel. Easy to find, nice welcome and pleasant reception, restaurant and bar areas. I had room 416, it is very small, bed and shower not really big enough unless you are small. It was however quiet. Breakfast choice and quality good, bar service good, didn't have an evening meal here. If I was to use this hotel again I would request a double room.
The Loccumer Hof is very well located near the main railway station and offers a decent standard business standard accommodation, along with bizarrely themed suites. The staff are very helpful and friendly and all speak English. Breakfast is standard continental fayre with a couple of hot items too. Bit pricey at 13 euros. My single room was on the small side, and in need of some comfortable chairs, not the pouffes provided. The rooms are very clean, but the wifi is so slow! So slow, it hardly provides any bandwidth for streaming anything. The restaurant was ok, but you will need to find somewhere else after breakfast on a Sunday as, bizarrely, it closes for the rest of the day. As there are no kettle or coffee facilities in standard rooms (standard practice for Germany apparently), this can mean tracking down a hot beverage on a Sunday - when ordinarily busy Hannover goes very quiet. Not impossible but you have to hunt it down. All in all, very comfortable and recommended, but a couple of moans.
I have decided to stay in the Hotel Loccumer Hof for one night during a visit of Hannover. First of all the location is pretty good, close to the central station and at least currently with a large construction site in front of the hotel there is no traffic around the hotel and it is really quiet. It was in general easy to find just a little bit hidden by the construction site in front of it ;-). The check-in was quick and friendly I even received a voucher for a free drink at the bar. They also informed me as already stated below that the elevator is currently not working as it is renewed. The public areas downstairs are really nice (already renovated) and look pretty stylish. The rooms (at least mine) haven't been renovated yet and look a little bit like in the 80ies or something like that. The room is clean but relatively tiny (single bed room, with a small bed). Everything is clean and as you would expect it in a 4 Star Hotel. The curtain is not totally darkening the room so if you sensitive to that keep it in mind and the bed is relatively small - I prefer larger ones :-). The breakfast was fair, buffet style, nothing special but also not too expensive. The only real disadvantage was that the WiFi was too slow to work, so I used my phone instead for the connection. They also offer a faster connection (which need to be paid) which I didn't try but for a business traveler that might be a no-go. I am not sure if I would stay there again or trying another hotel out of curiosity but for a short city trip I can still recommend it.
Booked here as part of a package deal on Opodo. Got a good deal for 3 nights and flights. It's literally just around the corner from the main train station (Hannover hbf), and it well placed to get to other parts of the city, local U stations within a short walk. It's a very clean hotel, very stylish, with immensely helpful staff. I speak very little German, and all the staff were happy to accommodate me. The room we had was a decent size, about the same as you'd expect from a Travelodge in the UK, but more stylish. The room was very warm in the evenings as it got a lot of sun, and the only way to cool it down was to open the doors onto the balcony. This did let cool air in, but also let the noise in from a few loud locals. If you want to have breakfast here, I'd recommend making sure it's part of your deal, as it's €13 per person per day, which can add up. Breakfast is of a good quality, check with staff for what times it's available. We got a free welcome drink each (using a voucher) which was a nice touch. The restaurant (Kurt16) has some excellent choices, and the bar also has some great cocktails. Great for relaxing after a day out and about.
We booked the Loccumer as it was reviewed in the Independent Newspaper. Its main draw is the fact it is a 2 minutes walk away from the main railway station - so it very conveniently located and is about a 10 minutes walk away from the old town Staff were very friendly and helpful Rooms were large - modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and despite being on the main road were not noisy Breakfast : nice selection of hot and cold food We also ate in the restaurant on the first night - we both choose vegetarian burgers which were very nice. You also get a free drink when you first arrive. The restaurant was a little quiet and maybe lacked a bit of atmosphere - but that may have been the fact we went off season and also at the weekend and Hanover tends to be a business place rather than tourist so dies a little at the weekend. However you can't fault the food and the restaurant staff Overall a nice stay in a good hotel which I would recommend
The hotel is close to the main train station, making it very convenient for a stopover in Hannover. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great! The rooms are nice, although felt a little cold with no carpets. Bathrooms were large and comfortable.
This hotel is clean, and has a great location for walking about the city and getting to the train station. There are plenty of places to shop very close by, and even though it is on a main street, it is very quiet at night. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the bed was huge! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is great! I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
I stayed here one night for a business meeting. Very friendly staff, reasonably low priced and modestly furnished small room with a dummy minibar and with a worned out akward bathroom. The restaurant has good menu, I tried burger and thai style soup. The breakfast was ok, although I found the hot meal variety quite disappointing. The real value of this hotel is its location. It is close to the main railway station and is next to the old city centre. Meeting rooms are mainly without windows. Overall the facilities could be improved.
Good Clean Hotel near the Hoftbahnhoff, main entrance, walking distance to two great Steak houses. strange to note that the hotel does not provide even a single English newspaper, just like most German Hotels. Nice big, airy Restaurant. Very courteous staff.
We had three nights here in early December to visit the various Christmas markets in Hannover. Its a nice hotel in a great location. Close to the city shopping areas, the station and transport hubs. The room was large and very well appointed and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. Very enjoyable stay
